    We've been abysmal.

    Constant hoofball and panicking.

Happy that we've not gone in behind.

As soon as they score we start playing. Can’t understand why we don’t start like that.

Hope we pick up where we left off. That goals shows their weakness. Don't sit back, grab em by the throat.

Fortunate to be level. They have far too much space between our midfield & defence. Herrera has to do a lot better. But when we actually attacked, Martial threatened with a shot & then Rashford scored. Can’t just sit back the second half.

    Missing Pogba’s influence.

feckoff Oliver, they fallovcer at the slight3st contact
It’s really pissing me off. They flop over with the slightest contact and get a free kick every time yet get away with tactical foul after tactical foul.

We were absolute shite before they scored, were the better team after they did. I don't know why we need to go behind to play like that, we're completely capable as we've shown. You can be solid defensively and still offer a threat offensively, as we did last week at Arsenal.

Great for us to have levelled it before half time. Now Jose can reassess from a level position. We need to show more patience and more guile. Been poor in the half and the goal flatters us.

Madness. Start playing when they score and get a goal ourselves. Why we shit scared of them on our own turf? Just fecking play ffs our normal game.

Not being arrogant here but I genuinely think we're a match for them if we just believe in ourselves a little more on the ball and play a little higher up the pitch. This city team is well drilled but not scary..

Like I’ve been saying, don’t get why everyone thinks we’ve been getting steam rolled. Defensively we’ve been there but had a few brain farts but recovered. All City are doing is passing the ball around and it’s been dealt with relatively well.

...can’t wait for the 2nd half. City goal in the 1st half may have been the best thing to happen. Woke us up and gave a very apparent 2nd wind which we used to actually push upfield and tie it up. We were able to weather the storm, limit the damage, and dish it back.

    Hoping the momentum carries over

Same problems as we saw during Pogba's absence, without him we have zero ability to move the ball forward and can't counter. With Pogba we defend and counter, without him we defend only.

No point in keeping defending and hoping for a counter with this then. We should attack and see what will happen.

Diabolical approach to such an important game. No intensity allowing the opposition all the ball and it was only matter of time before they scored.

Make them defend . . . That is their weakness , play with intensity and passion and we will win.

Please please do not sit back again now and be dominated

Oliver is bottling so many decisions today - almost impossible to play our game.

That said, we really do need to be better in possession, and stop allowing KdB so much fecking time on the ball.

That's the problem. You will get defensive work from the two we have, but Pogba is the link between midfield and attack. If Fellaini was playing he would attempt it. Shouldn't Lingard be doing it?
What irritates me is Herrera is the one who always get the shit, despite playing the better of the two. Our problem isn't Matic or Herrera, who both are very good ball winners, but the lack of a replacement for Pogba when he isn't about. Lingard should be doing more with the ball, but when you only have one player looking to dictate play it's so much easier to defend against.

Mix it up a bit in the second half. Please shift Martial on to the left and Rashford on the right. Martial is our most dangerous attacker and he needs to play in his favored position.

Honestly haven't been impressed with him, or anyone in a red shirt.

    Well in Marcus.
Don't get me wrong he hasn't been great, but he's backed himself to take multiple City players on instead of shitting his pants.

After a poor half you have to take grim satisfaction from going in all-square. Let's sort our shape and clear out heads, we're still very much in this.

Get at these and their defence breaks.

Jose tactics were largely right. Too cautious, definitely, but he set the team up very well to defend here. Just need more on the counter. Press more and higher.
