Players who went injury free their whole career?

Injuries are part of the game and all that, so I'm not talking about a week off with a sore knee. Just thinking about players who had no surgeries or long term absences from the sport.

Cant remember Cantona having any major injuries if I'm honest. Although it was a different game back then. Lee Chapman had his teeth knocked through his lip and played against us the following week. Lampard seemed to play forever without missing a game and only picked up muscle injuries late on in his career.

Anyone else?

Messi has been ridiculously lucky. Probably benefitted from Pep’s luck but overall he’s done well to miss a disproportionately low amount of games.

No mention of Ronaldo? Yeah he’s had a few minor injuries. But nothing that has kept him out for several months. Ibrahimovic before his serious injury.

Messi has done well considering he was injury prone in his teens.

Evra never seems to get injured.

Think this might be true of some other Barca players too. Busquets has played over 40 games every season for the last 10 years, except for in this one which obviously still has months left before finishing. Xavi played over 44 matches in every season for 14 years, except for one season somewhere in the middle where he missed four months due to a ligament injury.

Frank Lampard played 164 consecutive premier league games, so deserves a further mention

Ronaldo.

Especially for us. The only times I remember him missing a few games consecutively was from suspension. Pretty sure he has a good injury record at Madrid too, obviously he missed some games after his injury at the euros.

Can’t remember Giggs or Figo getting any major Injuries
If Zanetti was 1/2 human he would have retired before his major injury at 39
Gareth Barry

I remember when with us, Evra was never unavailable. Fergie was rotating for virtually every game with Evra the only constant. What a player he was for us!

Irwin I remember always being available too. Gary Neville was pretty good for injuries too I think. No doubt someone will point out massive injury layoffs for both.

Don't know about Irwin, but Neville missed most of the 07/08 Champions League winning season.

Mata is pretty good, probably our least injured player in last 5 years or so.

Lampard stands out given he covered a lot of ground and played in hard-edged midfield environments.

Similar to Lukaku they don't get many muscle injuries because they are the opposite of explosive. Lukaku played 35, 31, 36, 37, 37 for Everton and has appeared in all but one of our PL games this season.

Berbatov.
Hard to get injured when he barely moved around.

Anthony Martial since he joined. Missed just very few games from injury and now I know why, the dude barely moved except he is with the ball.

Giggs used to get a hell of a lot of hamstring injuries though, that would put him out for 4-5 weeks at a time.
