Are you watching closely?
Was gonna give you a green smilie but after seeing your comments on the previous page, I’m not 100% certain you’re taking the piss. You are taking the piss, right?
Of course

Incredibly sloppy on the ball for much of the game, just as he was for us. But somehow emerges with a goal, a great assist, and arguably should have had a pen.

He was utter pants for 99% of his game today.
His pressing and defensive work was fantastic the whole game, fantastic attitude.

Surely he many poor scenes, but still able to get a goal and an assist in a poor game. So don't want to see him on good days.

I find him immensely annoying to watch to be honest.
Pretty much what I thought. At the start of the season he was getting assists and a couple of goals for us, but I groaned every time he got the ball. Would more than likely start an opposition counter attack.

This is not a poor game for Mkhitaryan, this is his consistent level.

A poor game from Mkhitaryan is in big games where he couldn't pass 5 yards, dispossessed like he is a child, poor final ball.

He was so mediocre today and his goal was 100% due to crap goalkeeping.

Watching Sanchez yesterday, who was poor for the first 75 minutes, I couldn’t help but think that if Mhiki had performed like that he would have gone invisible and been substituted after an hour.

Goal, assist and denied penalty, not to mention the tracking back. Great game from him.

He is a decent player, I would say more than decent actually but when things gets tougher he goes missing. These kind-of games are perfect for him, his sides getting early goal alowing him to run in more free spaces. I was really disappointed with acmilan actually, the amount of time he and ozil were given was very unitalian.

He was shite.

No surprise you're back on defending him though. Still pretending you support Utd?
I dont pretend. I check check this thread from time to time to see what a bunch of whiners u are. I cant even watch the boring united game anymore. Arsenal are shit but at least its fun to watch.

Holy feck, he's actually going with the lines that Mkhitaryan released as PR after his move to Arsenal.

Armenians are a crazy bunch!

Nationalistic fans can be so annoying. There's often no debating with them.
Mkhitaryan is a hero in Armenia, the way United used him as a bargaining chip will leave a bitter taste in some fans from Armenia.

The mere existence of Mkhitaryan devalues the assist stat, I swear the guy is rubbish but always seems to pop up with a few assists here and there, such that he has the same number this season as David Silva and Paul Pogba. It just reminds me that the assist is a pointless stat.

Might be the first thread I hit ignore on. This will get bumped when he plays shit or when he gets an assist against a shit side every week.

Its whats making De Bryune the best player in this league apparently. Lingard has scored more goals than him.

De Bruyne is a bit different though, the type of assists he tends to get are out of nowhere where he makes something out of nothing, and he also makes a ton of key passes before the assist so to speak, the pass to the assister. You have to watch him play to understand, there is a massive gulf in class between him and Mkhitaryan. The quality of the assist is important.

My main point is that the stat is not a good one and its better to just watch the player and you can see the class. If you want a better stat for creative players chances created is a much better stat imo.
