I think Avenatti is smart and playing the long media game which is important. If they just played all their cards it would be easier for team Trump to use the 24/7 news cycle against them. This way they are a consistent reminder every day which combined with Trump being afraid to even comment causes more problems for Trump. I think they do have more proof and this way they are getting maximum leverage "Always keep them wanting more"
Excellent points.

Why would there be a $130k payment, that Cohen's already acknowledged, unless there was truth to it?

His silence is deafening. He's attacked everyone else accusing him of far worse than consensual sex. Makes me think he knows there's definitely proof. Not like a one-off groping incident that he can turn into a he-said, she-said even when there are a whole of women with very similar stories.
Yeah, her story has been consistent for 8 years, as in that email I shared yesterday. The affair was known about (in all its spanky detail) by quite a few people at the time.

"The president doesn't believe that any of the claims that Ms Daniels made last night in her interview were accurate," said spokesman Raj Shah.

President Trump's lawyers are seeking $20m (£14m) in damages from her, saying she broke a non-disclosure deal.
The above is from the BBC.

I don't understand all the legal aspect of things, but surely the non-disclosure deal implies he did have an affair? Why would he have one in place if it was all a lie?

What a country.....

'Even if he did sleep with her it's between him, his family and God'

I bet she extends that thought to homosexuals and people who have abortions .

Videos like these are torture to me, seeing such horrible views, such hypocrisy being unchallenged is infuriating.

The very essence of Christian belief is surely empathy with others...so unlike the ill-disguised self-interest displayed above.

Yeah so is being non-judgemental which plays well for these people in this particular scenario. The problem with ascribing those qualities to these tossers is that they suffer from extreme hypocrisy when they talk about things they do not agree with like abortion, homosexuality, premarital kids etc. Apparently empathy and being non-judgemental doesn't work then.

There was a brilliant moment at the end where Schwartz says he doubts that a call Avenatti says he had with Trump's lawyers took place, at which point Avenatti and Toobin drop the facade of putting up with this fool, look at each other and laugh.

Yeah, that was great :D
I really hope Avenatti has something substantial on that disc though, or else he's going to look a bit silly. He did allude to it today again "That ain't the only picture, buckle up!"

Teflon man is at it again...
President Donald Trump's approval rating has rebounded to its highest level since the 100-day mark of his presidency, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, even as his approval ratings for handling major issues remain largely negative.

Overall, 42% approve of the way Trump is handling the presidency, 54% disapprove. Approval is up 7 points overall since February, including 6-point increases among Republicans (from 80% to 86% now) and independents (from 35% to 41% now). Trump's approval rating remains below that of all of his modern-era predecessors at this stage in their first term after being elected, though Trump only trails Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama by a narrow 4 points at this point in their first terms.

Amazing that you still had till now. The dumbification of society , which is the root of all evil , may have reached an irreversible point.
Give the next generations a chance. I get the feeling many young people are going to be more political aware and engaged, which will be lights out for the GOP and Trump.

CNN's narrative that he is rising in the polls is generally misleading. He's been in the 36-44 range for the past year and is likely to stay in that range for good since Fox are keeping him afloat during all the bad news. If his polling average where to break out into the high 40s then that would be significant news.

American exceptionalism at it's finest.

And yet they voted for him.
The real Trump supporters I know don't give a crap about who he had affairs with. They are thrilled he is going to stack the Supreme Court with right wingers to advance their agenda. ie ending abortion.
The fact he is 'stirring things up' is a positive to them, not a negative

CNN seems so concerned that Trump as not tweeted about Stormy. Maybe they may have to start reporting news

More wumming

It’s wumming alright but it’s obviously all calculated. They want Trump to blow a fuse and feck it up on Twitter.

He will too.
