fecking love Herrera, he was brilliant yesterday as was our whole midfield in the second half. Don't think we can accuse the players and Jose of not having the desire after yesterday. It was apparent that everyone was very happy to piss on their parade, this is what happens when you throw a 'we beat United at Old Trafford' party in the away side changing rooms.

Spent the day with my grandad who's a City fan. Didn't watch the game with him as usual as he spent the week in Blackpool. Safe to say, he's gutted about it. He said himself that losing to United yesterday and the defeat to Liverpool has taken the shine of the season and firmly blames Pep's arrogance for the defeat (along with City's defence shitting the bed).

Our best chances of giving City a scare is them being overloaded by fixtures. I honestly trust tottenham to beat them.

Inappropriate is media and citeh fans wanking over their potential title win against us without a ball being kicked. Nobody gave us a chance.

There were articles before the game headlined 'City will show sanchez that he chose the wrong side'. Pathetic.

I was not a huge herrera fan due to his performances this season but his sheer love and desire to play for manchester united is enough for him to warrant a place in this squad. We need these kinds of players, jose needs these type of players for his style of football.

We are doing somethings right and have been doing things wrong, beating liverpool, chelsea and city in the space of 2 months was a sign of the teams character and ability they can beat almost anyone if the system and tactics are right, and are a side that will not hide in the big games which is partly why we are second. But what we have not been doing right is certain bizarre team selections, the teams inability to move the ball quicker back to front quicker and player further up the pitch. But the secret in unlocking pogba's full potential is herrera and matic alongside him, because no way would pogba have been able to score those kind of goals if he did not have four sets of legs around him, one of them in herrera can get about the pitch, close players down and help pogba move the ball to the final third, and the team playing further forward. When in your midfield you have matic holding, herrera and pogba able to break forward, sanchez on the left, these are players built to hurt teams and fight in these kind of games, unleash the shackles these players showed the world they can hurt anyone. So Jose cannot go back now, he went to the champions elect ground and took the game to them, if they can do that he can do it to anyone. But hopefully with 5 new signings we will have a defense and midfield has the foundations to really push on next season, and hopefully finish strongly this season to build upon

On a separate, and quite possibly entirely inconsequentional note, I’ve noticed an odd recent trend in derby matches, wherein both sides seem way more comfortable in the away fixture. United have won 2 of the last 3 (and 4 of the last 7) at the Etihad, for example and yet have only won once at OT in the last 7 League meetings.

Conversely City have only won 3 at home since 2010, but 5 of 8 at our gaff.

Means nothing of course, just an interesting little curiosity. But it probably explains why I’m always a little more nervous before the OT games.

Great results yesterday put I am afraid all the win is going to do is paper over the cracks with all the things that are wrong with the team & manager. We were very fortunate that City missed loads of chances whilst out playing us in the first half. Lucky that a penalty was not given against Young & saved by another DDG wonder save. This has already been touched on, luck is involved in every aspect of the game at all times. Gundogan could have just as easily missed his chance, De Gea could have saved the Kompany chance just as he did for Aguero.

City have played some huge games this season against teams missing their best players, they’ve scored a plethora of Worldie last second goals etc. to simply discount their achievements because of it though is ridiculous.

The players just come back from 2-0 down to win a Manchester Derby. I'd be more worried if they weren't showing this kind of passion as it's what we as fans crave.

Having watched the second half again, I don’t think it was by any means a 10/10 performance, and comparisons with pogba and keane v Juventus were a bit much but it was hugely impressive. We basically stopped giving city any respect whatsoever, and got so much more comfortable on the ball.

A lot of the problems we cause for ourself comes from poor distribution and bad passes under pressure. Kompanys goal comes from Valencia slicing a clearance that he should have got rid of, and the second comes from a very poor pass from De Gea. If our distribution from the back was better, the confidence would be lifted to a new level for the whole team. I do believe it’s something that can be coached too, and that the players can definitely become more confident passing/receiving the ball under a bit of pressure.

I have always had otamendi as one of the biggest fraud defenders in world football, and I think we showed him up yesterday. Our midfielders anticipated a lot of his passes and they were predictably poor. When he’s on the pitch, teams should just pick up everyone else and let him have the ball, he’s going to mess it up regularly.
