What a low quality game. It doesn't feel like a Champions League game at all let alone a semi-final match. Quality in football has seriously decreased in the last 10 years or so really.
Well, it hasn’t - the level is higher than ever. And Liverpool have been amazing because of the room available to them. Roma have been atrocious, that’s the only thing you can really say about this game. And... Salah’s goal was world-class, sadly.

They'll have the trophy and you'll still be in denial.
It's some of the depressed folk on here who are talking like Liverpool are an unstoppable force that are in denial. It was only the other day they threw away a 2 goal lead to West Brom!

Roma's defence is incredibly slow and Liverpool's attack is lightning fast. This was always gonna happen. It doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are comfortably a class above Liverpool, Man City and Roma but I guess we'll find out for sure next month.

The CL is a glorified FA Cup set to music

Jose has shown four times how you nullify this side. You don't play a high line and you don't press them in their own half.

Amazing that a coach with a reputation for meticulous preparation has gone there with these tactics.
That is not something you switch on or off. Jose plays Liverpool like that because that is how we play in general. We don't press. We play a deep line.

Teams can't just nullify their entire attack in order to park the bus and still get beat.

They will definitely beat Bayern. Real would give them more issues.

The alarming thing is how teams seem not be able to deal with their super average goalie, defence and midfield!
Definitely beat Bayern? Klopp already lost against Heynckes in CL- finale. Bayern is not as naive as Roma and has a much higher quality.

Nainggolan is at a level above his teammates. I’d seriously break the bank for him, absolute warrior and Henderson can’t get near him.

Shame he’s got that Turkish dud up front who must be the worst player left in the competition.

There's only one United!
So what.

I prefer winning the Premier League after all.

Twenty for us and come back if you ever reach us!

Hoping Nainggolan can pull something out of the bag in the 2nd half.

Although Klopp loses most of his finals, when you're name's on the cup, it's on there!

Though them losing in the final would be delicious.

The only positive from this is that if Liverpool lose the final it will hurt 10 times more than losing in the semis. Klopp has a shite record in finals and the pain of potentially losing another final will be much greater than losing here.

Breaking news!!

Sir Alex Ferguson spotted running through tunnels of Anfield just to storm in to Roma's dressing room, and in perfect Italian, gave everyone hair dryer treatment!
Roma expected to come of the tunnel and win Liverpool 5-2.

Madrid's defense is both hit and miss. The speed at which Liverpool attacks would cause them some serious problems if they both meet in the finals.
The Juve game at Bernabeu was just an exception.

I'll trust Madrid who got past teams like Juve and PSG than Bayern who were defeating Besiktas and Sevilla.

Can we retrospectively ban anyone who wanted Liverpool to beat City with the thinking that Pool were the worse team and less likely to progress further? Such a stupid mindset.
It was not a stupid mindset. City are the better team.

These lot will be a fecking nightmare to deal with.if they win the CL. Roma better get an away goal
They win a CL. We have had two joke managers and a euphoric Europa Leage, Carling Cup and an FA CUP or 2 to fire back at them. We win. Lulz.

I've consistently said Liverpool would win this CL, now the majority are coming round to it. We lost our right of reply when we couldn't beat Sevilla over two legs.. funnily enough with joses tactics we would have had the best chance at stopping the scousers.

6 times soon to be realised.

I hate them so much I can't bring myself to watch any of their CL games, I don't know why you lot do it to yourselves..

Long balls? why are people whinging about that. Roma are playing like morons, a high line against pace, begging for Liverpool to hit beyond them, they are playing exactly as they should against this level of idiocy. Hate Liverpool but it is clutching at straws to whine about their style of play.

That's enough for me.

What a clusterfeck of a season this'll be if they win the CL. That coupled with City's title stroll is one giant fecking nightmare for United fans.

We're being punished, I swear.
It feels like it.

City have ruined everyone in England, yet taken pastings against Liverpool.

Leagues are about consistency, cups are about on the day. The way Liverpool can quickly rack up the goals is a worry.
The only positive is that the final will be a neutral venue, so no "famous Anfield atmosphere"

Neither Real or Bayern are vintage. It's not like when we faced Barcelona twice!
I'm worried.

You’d trust Bayern or Madrid to beat Liverpool the same way Milan were trusted to beat them in 05. The fact is when Liverpool get past the group stages in the CL they become possessed and obsessed with it.

The only saving grace is that Real Madrid are the same.

Salah is something else. Still a tie to be won but Roma are there for the taking. Pedestrian side.

Fair play to Liverpool, but I don't want to ever hear them whine again about teams playing long balls over the top. Granted, they're doing it almost perfectly, but it's still a series of long balls up to quick forwards who are getting in behind. It's working and I don't blame them, but it's just the hypocrisy that's galling.
It's completely different. Rather than sitting deep and pumping to a big man with a runner, we set traps to win the ball in midfield, then play vertical balls to release the front men quickly - supported by the whole team.

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
 People can convince themselves of anything, as soon as the draw was made there was only one outcome
This. I'm not too bothered at this point because I genuinely, firmly viewed it as Liverpool in the final when I saw the draw.

They will definitely beat Bayern. Real would give them more issues.

Real have a good record of teaching Liverpool a lesson. They're a superior team (as are Bayern, I still believe).

But yeah, if ever Real need to perform it's in the CL this season. If it's Real in the final, I think Liverpool will blow it. Bayern, less sure.

But Roma...? Cmon. What were people thinking was gonna happen?
