People need to chill. It's an exhibition game. And we won. On to the finals.

Nothing left to play for. Seriously. Enjoy the world cup guys.
It's not an exhibition game and shouldn't be played like one. But when you take into account the fact that it's a team made of out of favour players, the performance is fairly good.

You may not care but its obviously something that follows Mourinho wherever he goes. Hazard himself said he didn't enjoy his football under Mourinho for long stretches. Playing for a big team is not enough motivation all the time when you can't express yourself fully because of your manager.
That is a lame excuse then. Real Madrid players did not enjoy playing for Jose in his last year , yet their players showed more passion and proved how great they were. Problem is you dont play for the manager but for the club . This whole idea that managers need to baby feed them, just doesn't make sense.

Again jose needs to take blame for us not attacking well but he cannot take blame for players lacking hunger. I know this is a meaningless game but still I am shocked seeing blind, mctominay, mata, rashford, darmian, bailly show no hunger to impress or play well. That is just bad

Sanchez does all that and Rashford is too lazy to stay onside.

I've lost so much patience with Rashford this season. Hope he finds some form with England before next season.

He just looks lost. He's very young granted. But he just seems to have hit a wall.

Mourinho the special one? This is the football i'd expect from Neil fecking Warnock. I can't wait until he fecks off.
For him this is fine as long as we won and kept a clean sheet. I can't stand it. Does he actually enjoy football? There's no room for entertainment in his footballing ethos

We win but it just feels so empty. Nobody looks happy. Everyone just going through the motions. This isn't how football should be.

I think both would be interlinked. Doesn't want to play under Mourinho surely means he thinks he's made it..

I think more likely is he just isn't all that good. He needs to get out on loan or be sold with the understanding that we'll be wanting him back if he develops.
I just can’t see us selling him. Too much risk given his ‘potential’ and being a homegrown is always a bonus. I just hope he works out whatever is going on with him. Martial going is one thing but Rashford would be criminal.

The need for motivation and playing better when not actively being undermined by your own manager are quite far apart. I don't think Keane had issues self-motivating!

And besides, Roy Keane put in fantastic performances for Ireland. Especially on the road to the 2002 World Cup, when problems were at their peak.
Fair point about Keane...I withdraw that point

 Yeah feck entertainment value right
Well Liverpool had to win this game and so it was important to bury Brighton early. This was literally just a testimonial for us and the lineup shows that.

No, he only cares about the result and how it reflects on him. All those who whine about people expecting to be entertained, imagine paying money to go and watch this football, taking your family, a couple of kids, full day and this is the product we serve.

The whole season has seemed like one long testimonial.

Quite demoralising for the likes of Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool and Tottenham who broadly try and play the "right" way according to many posters and still finish behind our testimonial season.

Good job its Chelsea for the cup, one of the few teams in poorer form that we are.

Pretty sure liverpool dont give a shit about about being 6 points back while they are in UCL final haha. Arsenal/chelsea did this to themselves with their issues with their manager and their respective teams.

Wasn't the best of games as expected, but we managed to win and give Carrick a good send off. Let's now win the cup and have a proper go next season!

When Forest got relegated - a 21/22 year old Keane, (playing as a defender for much of the season) was the best player, the leader and the best attacking force - despite having next to no experience. Keane was a bit special in that respect.
Right, and im sure his manager played a big part in that

Rashford may have scored today but that was just a simple tap in. He missed so many chances today. His runs were inconsistent and decision making was poor. We can't be going into next season with Rashford being Lukaku's backup. He needs a season long loan perhaps at Dortmund or something to improve his play and in-game intelligence.

On the whole, the game was really uninspiring. No real fire from United to take the game to Watford. The pace was slow like usual. It was so lethargic and not entertaining. Not sure if we can beat Chelsea to win the FA Cup.

Not sure what the reason was but Martial should have started this game. If the rumors are true, Martial is probably off next season.

They've been behind us more or less throughout the season, not just since they got into the Champions League final.

I’m sick to death of it mate.

I don’t care what anyone says, but this is up there with the LVG era as the most tedious to watch football in recent history.

Exactly this. The only difference is Mourinho has improved our results and given us a few more titles. On the pitch it really is the same unwatchable dross.
