I’m starting to think Cyberpunk 2077 might be its release date, and it’s just called Cyberpunk
Looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima, RDR 2, AC Odyssey (this is SPARTA), Antham, The Division 2

I shouldn't really pay any attention to E3. I have so many games from the last few years that I still need to play.

But I am looking forward to seeing Cyberpunk, Spiderman, Red Dead, Fallout, and no doubt there will be some huge surprises.

I suppose we are one year off new consoles being announced or have the enhanced versions pushed that back even further?

Another 2/3 years until new consoles i would say. Maybe hear something about them in 2020, then release in 2021

Doubt it’s 2/3 years considering Sony have said the PS4 is at the end of its cycle which suggests something is happening in the next year or so.

I don’t really expect anything. Sony have said not to expect anything from E3 besides deep dive into their four exclusives.

Most of the Nintendo stuff has been leaked.

I don’t see it as a exciting E3. Maybe third party might surprise with a game. But considering two of the platform holders are moving forward to next gen, I don’t expect it to be exciting this year compared to next maybe.

“We will use the next three years to prepare the next step, to crouch down so that we can jump higher into the future,” Kodera said to a group of reporters, including the Wall Street Journal.
SIE president says three years.

SIE president says three years.
He didn’t actually say that.

Kodera declined to provide a timeline or specifics for a new console, saying only that a new device is being designed around making it easy for developers to create games and also with an eye on easier hardware manufacturing.

PS Showcase has apparently been leaked. I've seen the list anyway.

Fallout, Division, Anthem, Metro and hopefully a new IP from Bethesda is what I'm looking forward to.
Oh, and Fifa, can't wait for the demo, I'll play it, love it, think, this year it's finally going to be good, buy it, then watch week 1 patch ruin it all over again

Sony have since clarified those statements and said that it will be at least 3 years until we see the PS5. Don't expect to see a new one until 2020 at the earliest. This current generation hasn't reached the end of its life yet. The consoles haven't come close to plateauing yet thanks to the incremental improvements we've seen in Playstation Pro and Xbox One X. They MAY talk about something next year but will be a few years before a generation jump.

Despite not owning a Xbox I'm super interested to see what they do at E3 this year. They got a major game problem and need to sort it out quickly. I think they're making decent strides in certain areas, but the real lack of games is not good.

I don't think Metroid Prime 4 will make an appearance as I think they're only showing games coming in 2018, but I'd love to see some gameplay  Actually just a CGI video will do.

What I'm realistically hoping for is some gameplay from The Last of Us Part 2. Fairly sure it'll be there in some form. RDR 2 as well obviously, we still haven't seen a lot of it despite its release being less than 6 months from now (if it doesn't get delayed again). I think it's still a bit too early for Cyberpunk but you never know. Also, whatever From Software are working on.

They'll appear on Sony's stage and reveal Bloodborne 2

Then i'll lose my mind

Red Dead won’t be there.

Rockstar rarely do E3.

Is there not even a sniff of the next Elder Scrolls?

Have Rockstar no interest in the next GTA as they milk GTA V online?

Is there rumour of any epic sandbox games?

Yeah, for someone who doesn't play much but likes to absolutely cane the odd game, the Playstation single player exclusives look so much better.

Enough to make me think about switching back next generation. All my mates have Xbox but hardly ever play anyway.

It wouldn't be revealed at E3, anyway. I'm thinking it won't be out this generation. GTA V was revealed in 2011 and out towards the end of 2013 - similar two year gap (so far) with RDR 2. Can't see anything being revealed this year as Rockstar won't want the shine to be taken off RDR 2. Maybe a late 2019 reveal with a 2021 release.

No.

Not for a few years.

Starfield maybe, but bethesda is busy with fallout 76 so who knows.

8 years! Insane!

I know from their perspective, they want to rinse GTA online for every penny, and it's still doing fantastic numbers for them, so there's little reason for them to get started on 6, but it's a real shame as it feels the series has been put to the side in pursuit of the almighty dollar. That with it being the highest grossing game of all-time as it is!

I tried the first RDR for about an hour, but really struggled to get into it as it's barren compared to the sandbox games I've gotten used to.

I have an Xbox One X, I think this is the most important conference since the Xbox One "relaunch" in 2013. They're seriously need to bring it this year and show of games, not just sequels to Halo/Gears again.

Yeah that would seem incredibly anticlimactic if they did that. I'm not too sure how relevant those games really are now. As i said, i'm not in that ecosystem anymore and was never a fan of Halo anyway, but it seems that those games have run their course. Could be way off base here, and i'm sure they'd sell if they did release sequels, but they need so much more than that.

:(

Although, if Fallout is anything like New Vegas, that'll be a fine tide over.
Rumour is that it's more of an MMO rather than a proper beth rpg :(. Interested in hearing more but sort-of dreading that being the case, not the sort of thing I will ever play.

Looking forward to new switch stuff, will probably pick one up in the future once they're about 100 pounds or so. Whatever fromsoft are up to (please not Playstation exclusive), seeing what beth are up to besides 76 (new elder scrolls please).

I agree re: fallout76. Wait and see.

It does appear there will be an online element to the game but I don't think it will be an MMO. More likely there will be co-op play, which is fine by me, as long as there is the option to experience the game in single player.

You'll be waiting years if you want to get a Switch for £100
