Trump has done a good job with Kim. I see no problem with him meeting him face 2 face. if he can bring about any comfort to the lives of the North Korean people - good luck to him.

in Ireland we have had numerous conflicts which ultimately was ended by actually bringing people from different extremes into rooms to meet.

America care about denuclearization, not about the lives of North Koreans.

It's odd for leaders to meet before anything is even agreed.

Especially when one side has been running concentration camps and using slave labour for generations, and the other is supposedly the leader of the free world.

Credit where its due. this one is on trump.

Lets hope thigns gets better with north korea
Yeah, hard to find fault with what happened yesterday honestly.

I secretly wanted him to fail honestly. Or from Kim to assault him with a pencil and stab him in the face.

does that make me a bad person?

Not to suck up or anything but all I have to say is: wow! What Trump has done here to say the least is amazing. Surely a Nobel Peace Prize incoming.

Today is a day he truly looks like a full on president and one who offers hope to the world. The art of the deal, wow. I remember so many people+media saying months ago how he’d lead America/the world to war with NK. Even that brainless Hillary kept chanting that every time she could. Now what? The impossible has become possible. Can’t even fathom what the narrative would be if any other president such as Obama or whoever (not that they are/were capable of doing what has been done today) had done this. Just from the videos of them around the table Kim looked uncomfortable/in a position of weakness. Trump hasn’t slept in over 24 hours, gets the job done at the summit, and then takes questions for over an hour. Anyone who questions his ability is mistaking. I can just imagine a broken Hillary trying to stay up a couple hours just to keep up and then having a seizure or whatever it is, getting dragged off by his secret service, and then claiming it was nothing. Found it hilarious Trump chiming in and confronting Trudeau. Justin’s gonna pay aka us Canadians lol but you can’t blame Trump for just making a stand and being reasonable.

...this is the art of the deal. Trump could walk on water and I bet people would complain he couldn’t swim. All things aside, this truly is a great moment in world history. Humankind should be grateful a resolution was made.

It's basically progress on getting a little twat from N.Korea to shut the fcuk up and calm down.

Hardly the Berlin wall coming down.

Imagine being sorry for major developments towards world peace and quite possibly preventing a 3rd world war :wenger::confused:
I think the main point is that at this moment there is zero reason to be anything more than (very) cautiously hopeful that something good will come of all this.

Oh and as you were being serious, this is the same Hillary Clinton who sat for 11 straight hours of interrogation about Benghazi without a single sign of weakness right?

Credit to Trump on this one, but I put this down to Kim realising he's dealing with somebody as volatile and simplistic as he is.
Its basically Dexter, Trump is the mad man trying to keep other mad men in line.

I genuinely think Dennis Rodman is the most bizarre human being to have existed.
Don’t think you’re wrong by any extent hahaha

Not zero reason but yea I get the gist of what you’re saying

This is like celebrating that you’re about to get laid because you met up with a girl for coffee.

Let’s see how this plays out before we all nut in our MAGA hats.

Shocker you like Jordan Peterson.

Seriously though. This summit is a good thing, credit to Trump fine. So far however there is no reason for sheer optimism, let alone saying it’s a step to world peace (wtf). So far The real conclusion is that Kim is now a legitemate player on the world stage. The leader of the free world broke bread with him. The biggest win here is Kim’s.

I hope he keeps his word and does away the nukes, but I cant see it happening, because even though Trump says this is the beginning of a wonderful bond, Kim Jung Un is a crimanlly insane dictator who executes people for falling a sleep at a meeting.

So let’s not break out the flower beds and acid party out yet.

Also despite this, Trump is still a ridiculous cnut.

It’s 3AM, Hillary is fast asleep unable to respond to real time attack on Benghazi.

It’s 3AM, Trump welcomes the secure return of hostages from NK. It’s 4AM and Trump comes out to do an hour long presser about the summit which he hasn’t slept in over a day.

...sorry but the opportunity presented itself so in a way you brought this on yourself :nervous:

Actually you know what - let's not feed Kermit.
Yea, whatever. Reason why I don’t ever pop in here anyways.

Just wanted to share my $0.02 that’s all. Bizarre how people can still somehow manage to not give credit when it’s so obvious what’s been done. Whatever, cya folks.

Well done to both Trump and Kim.

I have heard people concerned about the optics of Trump meeting Kim, like that matters in comparison to the alternative.

Trump takes risks that no conventional politician would take and that has been proven a success today.

Hillary and Obama for all their flowery language and grandiose speeches would balk at negotiating without every little detail being examined at great length and terror about how every little detail of the meeting would be received by the media.

The fact Trump does not care about this stuff is why he gets stuff done.

Hopefully the start of a peaceful period for the Korean peninsula.
