The issue is there seems to be a very small pool of talented right wingers that are young, so they seem to be able to charge through the nose for them.
I never knew United were a democracy (you want to say "disenchanted").
Eurgh, Lozano is barely even on a par with Mata, Rashford, Martial and Sanchez. He would add absolutely nothing. Plus, he is more effective on the left.
I think last season they PL teams told their squads that if players want to leave they must make their intentions clear before the deadline closes as they'll be no more sales after that. Think Barcelona might have been chasing Coutinho at that time and Liverpool just said absolutely no deal due to the window being closed. What worse is the reason behind this. They said they do it so PL teams can focus for the games. As if that stops European clubs from unsettling players in England. English clubs may be able to keep the players for the season, but there would be no stopping cases like Mahrez & Coutinho were given time away from the team wouldn't be prevented. Only harm's done. English FA never stops to amaze me with their dumb policy which more often than not harming English clubs.
Please look at definition number two.

What rights has Martial been disenfranchised from?!
Considering modern, attacking FBs are crucial it's just more confirmation that Jose doesn't care about us playing good, exciting football. He's intending to win every game 1-0 this season I reckon, and if he fails, he'll walk of his own accord. The stars are aligning, it's why he's targeting old, hardened grafter type players he trusts will drag him over the line.
So who are the RW we can sign who'd improve us?
I was looking Leon Bailey but it seems he has played more at left. Then saw Ante Rebic but it seems he has played more at left side too. Ditto for Guedes etc.
I'm really struggling for names here. Won't be surprised if we end up signing someone like Adama Traore.
Ah, the classical "you think you know better than a successful manager" argument has entered the José discussion again. Typical of when you run out of other things to defend him with.
Why should any players or workers be motivated by their manager/boss at all? After all, we're machines.
Wow why all the Ashley Young hate?
Take into consideration that if we upgrade Young, we probably don't upgrade in more important areas. It's probably the same posters that have gone into depression since Fellaini extended his contract. the FM / FIFA generation I bet. I bet you all kicked off when Scholes signed an extension at 35 too.
Forget the fact he played solidly for United for the final couple of months when United beat every side in the top 7. Forget when he had Salah in his pocket when Liverpool flopped at Old Trafford, despite every Anti-Mourinho fan on Redcafe telling us that Salah was going to rip him a new one and Liverpool were going to 'batter us' and finish 2nd. Forget the fact he put in a good performance in this world cup all the way up to the semi-final.
He used to be a winger, he is over 30, he didn't cost 80 million, a bird shat in his mouth once, so it must be a disaster if he is our first choice for 1 more season.......
This place is a shambles sometimes.
I'm sure he wants both, but he'll be aware that the club doesn't have the money for it.
You’re the one saying you don’t know why he does what he does.
My answer is maybe because it makes him successful.
That’s a bit different to your flawed and self-serving interpretation of what I said.
As in it hardly makes sense other than him trying to protect himself again when he (most probably) struggles to get the best out of Pogba yet again. He's hardly been successful at United with his approach. And it also, yet again, sends out negative signals.
It's the same with the Pereira comments. And what makes it more bizarre is if it was McTominay delivering perfomances like that he would be singing his praises all day. One rule for his favourites and another for the others.
And you're the one saying you don't see the need for having motivational skills.
Truly awful.. opinionI never knew United were a democracy (you want to say "disenchanted").

finally a bit of sense on here.

Quality post, mate.
I agree. Young and Valencia do need to be replaced, but there's definitely other areas of the pitch that need a more urgent upgrade.Personally, I don't think Young or Valencia are a problem defensively. It's going forward we have issues. If you Mata and Sanchez playing wide coming inside then you need players with the legs to get up in support to hold the width and deliver quality crosses into the box. Young playing LB always cuts back and narrows play while Valencia always hits the first man with his crosses.
Right wing is a huge hole for us still but right I'd be delighted with us signing anybody who is good at crossing whether its a left footed LB, a right back or a right-winger.
I don't think money is an aspect one bit. The player actually needs to prefer moving here, also one who will suit Mourinho's Requirements.
No, they're being condescending to tools who think they know what they're talking about because they play Football Manager / FIFA all day. And rightly so.Not quite. As soon as someone says 'the FM / FIFA generation I bet' they're just a condescending old twat dismissive of 2 generations of fans.

Just some width, please.
It's bonkers that Manchester United have zero natural width in a 25-man squad.
No inside forwards, false nines or inverted fecking wingers. Just a thoroughbred, out-and-out, touchline-hugging wide man who can whip in a cross.
It is indeed slim pickings. Thauvin, Chiesa, Pulisic and Willian are probably our best bets at this point - not convinced that any if them are world class, but they'd be substantial upgrades on Mata/Lingard on the right wing.

Instead of blaming Jose which seems the lazy arguement surely yesterday confirms he's not happy with the squad and wants 2 more signings. It's down to the board/Ed to get these deals done..
Do they exist anymore?
Can't understate how overrated Dembele is around here. The reason he isn't fitting in at Barca is his near clueless level of decision making in the box. The injury didn't help his season but unless he had brain fracture it's not why he's struggling to figure out Barca's short passing systemThe only players who I let Martial leave to get are Varane and Ousmane Dembele.
I think these are the sort of players we'll target - albeit I have no idea who Leo Jaba is (you're making him up right?!) Aggressive, run all day, type wingers with some skill.Malcom (available few days ago )
Lamela
Reus
Callejon
Bailey
Willian
Pulisic
Keità
Lozano
Leo Jaba
Chiesa
Reus
Under
Guedes
Suso
What does this post have to do with what I said?Yes there is a clear link between people who think that United might be able to do better than Ashley Young as first choice left back and their choice of hobbies.
It's not at all a made up nonsense idea thrown into a hyperbolic rant in place of an actual argument.
I read Jose wishes to sign 2 meter players, can't be far off tho
