I think Jose played that one quite well. Probably not happy with Pogba but nailed him down with his quote about performing for the fans and his teammates. Put that as an expectation going forward and drew a line under it.

Jose is too intelligent. He may publicly say 'I would never keep an unhappy player against their will' but in reality he would never sell a player unless it was his desire to do so. He knows he needs Pogba, the club needs Pogba. He hasn’t attacked the press, he’s diffused the situation and probably would up Custis/the other fat man (Raiola) in the process.
