When you sell a player like Pogba, you never get the worth of the player back.

When Cristiano left, it wasn't about the size of the offer. We would have kept him if we could. It was the player wanting to leave.

If Pogba wanted to go, then we would accept a record amount, whatever that is, but it would never be equal to his value to the club.

£240m, 4 players at £60m each to replace and strengthen the team. Anything less and we're weakening ourselves or losing money.

Very well put. We could ask for £200m but we'd only have people asking for £200m for Jack Rodwell or whatever inadequate replacement we want.

I don't care how much we get for him, if he doesn't want to play for us then he can go, just to get our money back and getting rid of his attitude would be worth it,

We payed 105. Add wages and bonusses. It is 150. He is world superstar, adidas brand who brings you money outside of pitch also. He is 25, world cup champion. It really sounds ridiculous but 220mil is minimum.

As i said in other thread. Only offer which is good for me and i would take it is rakitic pkus dembele plus 50 mil. Rakitic is not worse player than pogba and dembele would solve right wing position .
How on earth can a player who has massively under achieved in the last 2 years be classed as a “ world superstar “
Because he won titles with the strongest team in a weak league? so therefore every juventus player is a world superstar then ?
Because he has a World Cup medal ? So matuidi is a world superstar as well

We rave on about his second half performance against City conveniently forgetting that in the first half he stank the place out.
George Best , Ronaldo ( x2 ), messi,Maradonna, Zidane , maldini were “ world Superstars “ you can’t mention pogba in the same breath as these

Forget ..
the haircuts
The stupid dances
The emoji’s
The constant social media obsession
and you are left with an overhyped player falling massively short of his potential , he will never be classed as a United legend the premiership has found him out he can’t cut it here

If he really wants to leave, I'd be happy with Dybala + Sandro, but I can't imagine Juve would agree to that.

Depends on who we could get in.

If we sign SMS then Dembele + £50m

If we didn’t sign SMS then Rakitic + Dembele + £50m

Considering he's one of the top 5 best midfielders in the world. A World Cup winner and extremely important to Man Utd. I'd say 180m and not a penny less. I'd take 150m and Dembele.

This might be sacrilegious to some but since the rumours are in full flow, it might be interesting to know if there are offers some would find acceptable?

Would people take Dybala+Sandro? Dembele+50m? 150m?

My own opinion is a bit contradictory. On the one hand I don't think he's proved that he's world class, but he's obviously got immense talent. His mentality could hinder him from realising his potential but then again he's super marketable and a household name already. Given the way the market has gone and his length of contract, in terms of numbers I think we should get double what we paid. I'd be tempted by Sandro+Dybala though.

If we could make it part of a deal that Raiola gets f all, then that would certainly sweeten the deal.

Since the two mentioned destinations are Juve/Barca: Rakitic/Pjanic + (Dembele/Sandro and/or Cash to equalize whatever the clubs can agree to on valuations)

With it being this late in the window, it has to be a partial swap involving a midfielder. Neither player would be much of a drop off, if any, from Pogba's performances for us over the past two seasons.

It won't happen due to the board valuing Pogba's marketing potential far higher than his playing performances deserve.

It could be any club really. But those are the only clubs linked with him. If he wanted to go to PSG (which I think he does not) and if they were desperate to get him I'd bite their hand off for Mbappe. I'd also swap him for Kroos+Varane / Varane+Asensio. I don't think there is any club out there that rates him anywhere near to what posters on here do (including myself). If he wants a move he'll have to grow up fast and perform well over the next few months.

To me, straight cash is the simplest deal. If players involved then it must be players that will start immediately. So Dybala + Sandro + cash is minimal standard; no chance for deadwood Dembele + cash, not even for 200m because we need to get rid of Dembele in no time. But you know what, it will be much more complicated, because the agent pocketed 40m last time, so it will be deadwood+deadwood+cash-agent fee. We will end up with deadwoods + sucker.

 how can you even post this call for open mindedness with such a clear interpretation of mourinho.

Yeah, my skewed opinion of his agent shared by Alex Ferguson and loads within football.

Pogba absolutely did not shine throughout the World Cup. He was widely criticised in group games, the first half of the final and had 3 good to excellent games.

Only a weak person would Blame style of play for dreadful performances. We could play 8-1-1 and that doesn’t excuse blasting random passes over the far touchline and not showing up against weak opposition, or strong opposition for that matter,

You haven’t been watching man united for two years of you think Pogba has shown an ounce of anything to value him over any manager- even if it was moyes or basil fawlty. Roy Keane wasn’t allowed to run the club, Paul Pogba who left us once already (at his agents insistence) absolutely shouldn’t.

I never once claimed that Pogba has been amazing for us. I infact think he has under-performed, and of course he is not exempt from criticism. He needs to have more impact in a more consistent manner for us this season, there's no doubt. Pogba was very good in the World Cup, he was widely criticized in group games because he's Pogba- he was really good. Disciplined in the positions he took up, very comfortable in possession and was involved in setting almost every French attack from a deep position. The fact that you bring up his performance in a final where he was the best midfielder on the pitch (despite fielding alongside Modric,Rakitic, Kante) and scored a goal to help his country win the World Cup is very indicative of how you feel towards the player. No player should run the club, but at the same time if you think its alright for an underachieving manager to isolate and sell our most talented players because he's incapable of utilizing them correctly then you don't think highly enough of the club in my opinion.

I'd be annoyed with anything less than 200m. He is the top midfield talent of his generation and he is a marketing dream for the club.

I would say £150m or £100m plus Dembele. I wouldn’t take anyone else from the current Barcelona team in a swap deal.

I'd take dembele plus cash but again dembele under Jose can be a train wreck.

So about 200 million but not sure where we would go with that this late in the window.
Dembele in Barca was a train wreck.

An acceptable bid for Pogba does not exist. Considering he is one of the worlds best central midfielders whose commercial value is skyrocketing as we speak, any future replacement would be a downgrade and come at significantly lower cost than Pogba's transfer fee, with the remaining proceeds to assist in the lining of the Glazer's pockets.

We simply cannot sell Pogba.

No I like Pogba, he’s a happy go lucky guy and sometimes quite likeable. I think he’s incredibly talented and if he hits his heights could be the best midfielder in Europe and enough to be a talisman in champions league. My negative feelings towards him are based on

A) frustration - I agree our style is poor but don’t believe it justifies how poor he has been at times given his talent.
B) his relationship with his agent - he left us as a youngster due to impatience. Yes he was probably close to ready, but Ferguson of all people would have given him his chance, likely that next season. His agent was so influential in that move, and here we are again, either causing disruption for a bigger pay day or genuinely seeking a move. Either scenario is self serving in the way it’s been done and the player himself could end it all with some backbone. Again unless he wants to leave, in which case why would anybody want him to stay?
C) lastly, and this reason isn’t pogbas fault, but more the feeling he provokes in some fans. To place a player who hasn’t performed for us and has left us once already, as being so important and incapable of wrong doesn’t sit well with me. I truly believe people’s reservations or dislike of mourinho (justified or not) are letting players, and Pogba in particular away with murder. What mourinho said post World Cup wouldn’t even have been news a decade ago. But apparantly it’s unjustified to say Pogba needs to provide the same form at united, bad man management even! It’s absolutely true and would be a motivator for any player truly capable of achieving their potential. Instead Pogba gets discussed as some sort of scorned sensitive soul in many quarters. It’s absurd. But that’s my feeling.

I want nothing more than Pogba to go on to be a giant with us and lead a successful era. It can happen. But right now I see it more likely he moves to another big club- continues his same patchy form but accumulating a very impressive highlights heel that will allow people to elevate his status beyond his worth and mourn the loss of a player that never delivered for us. I hope I’m wrong.

£150mil is what he is worth IMO.

No team can afford to buy him bar PSG. Or maybe the likes of Barca or Real if they fell into money via selling a player.
A lot of the very top players have now been priced out of moving.

 so you would like a 31 year old coming to the end of his time, for World Cup winner Pogba who is coming into his prime and will improve , he just need to feck his agent off.
That would be a huge mistake IMHO.
Exactly. Pogba is a primadonna but a lot of our best players throughout history were. We simply have to keep him happy. It's not even a debate for me. He has got at least 5 years ahead of him at the very top of his game. He has so much more to give this season.

Move Pogba somehow to Arsenal so he can play with Auba and bring in Neymar to play with Sanchez. It's hard to believe nothing was worked out with Leicester already. If I have to wait until next year for Neymar fine, but getting stronger in back seems negotiable.

I think we should buy his replacement before selling him, otherwise we'll get ripped off.

I personally wouldn't get a like for like replacement. Would rather get a 10 and an 8. That'd give us flexibility in midfield. The flog Pogba for £200m

Yup. 2 replacements who can actually try and then get rid of him.
