Looking at who they played tonight though:

Benaglio- Experienced international. Don't think he's that much worse than Subasic.

Sidibe- Was highly rated 18 months but seems the injury has disrupted his game?

Gilk- Rate him highly but seems to have been affected by the malaise.

Jemerson- Had a few Brazil call ups in recent years.

That's not far off the defence they've had last few years. Can only think losing players like Moutinho and Fabinho makes them far more exposed than before and they obviously haven't got the quality in attack to outscore teams anymore.

I've said before but Falcao desperately needs pace either side of him otherwise he just gets isolated upfront like he did under LVG.
Well Jemerson has been really bad in the last 18 months, Sidibé is probably done, Glik is alright but not as good and Benaglio plays like a good backup but still a backup. And that's not even the main issue, the problem is with the players in front of them.

We all love United
Do Monaco actually have a football following of their own? I have an impression that the city is more interested in racing cars and formula one and also a playground for the rich

Losing 0-4 to Club Brugge whilst throwing the game without looking suspicious would be hard, let alone doing it without throwing the game. I have only seen the goals, but my word that defensive display was horrendous. A bit like United - Newcastle x4

I think they compete with Nice for fans from the surrounding areas, and it helps them that Nice haven't done anything of note in decades.

Another Neville. Zero experience as manager and he pretends to go to one of the France big clubs.

To be fair to him the 0-4 isn't deserved. It was one of those times where everything's going wrong.

It has no impact. Monaco have fans spread around the country which means that they generally have support in away games but they don't have a lot of pull locally, Marseille is the club stealing fans from other cities, Toulon is about Rugby, Cannes is about Volley-Ball and Nice is all about their own club. Also traveling isn't part of the french football culture.

As an aside, I don't get why some wants to judge right now when the team was as bad under Jardim who is an experienced manager, when key players have been injured and when the new players are clearly not good.

I dont think it's fair comparing him to Nevile's stint and Valencia - Nevile went to a foreign country with zero language experience while Henry went to his boyhood club.

Will be back working as a pundit on Sky Sports again.

Other than that, is he still Roberto Martinez’s assistant at Belgium or is that Shaun Maloney’s role now?

He comes across like a bit of a helmet. That said, it's a bit early to be getting too excited about the prospect of him failing.

How come at Monaco its the players form that is at fault?

But at United its the managers fault?

I thought it was pretty creative and funny
Still doesn't matter. The point I wanted to make is I don't understand how anyone thinks he can manage United. If we were talking about Eddie Howe now or Graham Potter in the future I would understand. Giggs based on what? Wales?

Because Monaco was selling their best players year after year and United were buying highly rated players every window.

It was a joke. The only thing stupid about it is the idiots who thought a professional manager doesn't have access to football footage.
Yeah the way It was presented looked serious. Nevermind I keep the same opinion regarding Giggs, but this is related to Henry. Not important for this matter.

Well, at United you don't have a starting lineup made of 5 to 7 new players.

You specifically said that Jemerson had been poor for a while, Glik, Sidbe etc.

Why is their downturn in form their fault but with United players who have been poor for us for a long, long time you suggest its our coach thats the problem?

I don't see the point that you are trying to make, I didn't mention any fault and I specifically said that these players weren't the main issue. In that list you have one player with a bad knee that rejected the surgery and isn't in a good shape, Benaglio is a backup, Glik like I said is alright but he plays next to Jemerson who has been mistake prone. Jemerson is really the only player we could discuss about, personally I don't think that he is specifically at fault, he plays next to defensively bad leftbacks and the midfield hasn't been good defensively. The lack of competition at the CB position is also an issue, so most of the blame goes to the club.

Mate, you can always just support Montpellier instead ;)

Doing very well atm.
I played for Montpellier and I have never felt the supporting spark. For me they are like Monaco, I follow them, wish them the best and that's it.

Hehe, I'm starting to think I need to go to MPL next year and see one game. I always enjoyed to go there.
