Spot of highway robbery, we went for a draw and they forced 2 or 3 good saves from De Gea, hit the woodwork twice and scored, then Mata pulls off a beautiful freekick and we get a winner off a clusterfeck set piece, it was a bizarre game of football, totally bizarre.

They were the better team which I think most expected but it wasn't as much of a smash and grab as some are saying. We gave them a good game and played very well.

It should do wonders for our teams confidence. Which is very fragile.
I think it was to be honest. They never had us camped in our half but they had numerous chances in the game and should have killed it off. Before the flurry at the end, I don't recall us creating anything and even taking into account the last 10, the only chance we made in open play was the Rashford one right at the end.

I thought you guys were in total control but should've taken your chances when you were on top. Khedira and Cuadrado epseicslly. 1-0 always leaves the game open and we basically attacked for the last 10 minutes only and got 2 goals out of it. It happens.
Be honest here, do you enjoy football?

I get the feeling people are downplaying our performance actually. Sure Juve had good chances, they’re a top team at home. But we never looked inferior or out of the game which is the thing I was most pleased with- we were able to have a good match & not play cowardly- first half in particular I was really impressed with us.

Agree completely. They're not convincing at all. Barca could still take them easily over two legs, as could City and Liverpool.
Cuadrado, again, was just meh. Everytime I see him at either club level or international he has a few good moments but is generally so wasteful. If he's a regular starter then that's a worry. It could be that I haven't seen enough of him.

I'm not sure if today Juve underestimated us or we just improved a lot on the first leg. Even before the Ronaldo goal , they were obviously the better team but it wasn't like the match at OT when the gulf in quality just seemed embarrassing at times.

Of course. I'm just giving an honest summary of the game. Juve had us on the ropes after 1-0 and we had to weather the storm but we stayed in it and the subs along with Martial turned it around for us. Specially martial.
But of course I'm happy we won again, 3 massive points in the group which put us closer to qualifying for the knockouts. It's a great night.

We showed character, fight and desire! Don't give a monkies how scruffy the winner was. Get in!

Also, Mata scoring netted me £800. Get in!

I have my issues with Mourinho's approach to games, but fairs fair. That was a fantastic result! Hope the old boy enjoys a few glasses of his favourite tipple tonight!

It’s like the city game in April, we won the game by complete surprise it seems, but it feels like we still not learnt much at all with the side. We still not a 90 minute team, and it’s still very much team sellections are game to game. Are we title contenders? Not really, are we CL contenders? Unlikely, but tornemants are sometimes not won by the best sides. So in all I still don’t think we learnt much, has god knows what we will be like in the next game

Yes followed by “in recent history” as I recall. Which is entirely correct.

And rightly so. It was a great win in this era and in our greatest era or era’s. Enjoy it. We all should.

Fair enough but any top side is going to create chances. Juventus didn't take them, we took ours.

It's something as a United fan I have seen many times over the years. We've never really been a side who dominates a game like say Barcelona or the current City side do.

Cuadrado is not a regular starter. Mandzukick or Bernardeschi usually start. Mario is coming from and injury and wasnt fit for 90 minutes and Berna is injured and wasnt even on the bench.

Tough game to comment on this!

Obviously a fantastic result.

We came out the blocks better than usual. It was evident throughout that Juve were the better side but we held our own, unfortunately looking poor or devoid of ideas in attack. Probably scared to commit too much, or told otherwise. That said, Martial looked lively at times and was clearly putting effort in. Sanchez looked better up front.

Our counter attacking is very strangely terrible. Lack of quick decisions and no accuracy to get the ball where it should be quickly. It's been apparent for a long time now. And yet again we showed that we're poor one on one, at the end there.

We also showed that we don't have to be balls to the wall defence to get through on grit though.
It was a good night in Europe, which was something I didn't expect to be saying.

Absolutely buzzin. Totally over the moon. What a night.

I’m tired but I’m far too excited to sleep.

I want to enjoy every second of this. We have had some awful low points over years, so please everyone just embrace this huge positive.

Not been this happy about a big night in a long time. Let's not forget that Juventus are bookies favourites for the CL this year, not to mention their home record in Europe either.

I don't want to make this about Jose again but if people don't understand what he brings to football clubs yet, you deserve everything you get. You won't find many managers around the world today that could have executed a plan like that and walk away with three points, especially most of the names that get bounced around here on a daily basis.

If we get a good result at City at the weekend I'll be over the moon. Keep the faith!

Fantastic. Juve are a good team but we hung in there. What a free kick by our little matador.

As for the winner, you can only win the lottery if you buy a ticket.

Tony Martial great again
