There is not one example of Mourinho turning around a slump in his entire career.

Jose saying the players should be attacking with quick passes. He’s been saying that for ages and isn’t getting them to. He’s hopeless. We know the players aren’t good enough to do it and that’s also his fault, but they don’t even try to.
With the one time they do per game it’s always fecked up with a shite pass.
There's a solution to this : play Fred and not Fellaini

He's moaning about the midfield. Does he know he's the one who picked it, right? Not like he didn't options there. His completely lost the plot
It's especially rich when he consciously decided to leave his 50m signing, who was coming off a good performance midweek, on the bench the whole match and is keeping Andreas out of the squad completely. He's beyond negligent and full of shite

Sticking 2 DM/Holding mids in the backline should also be a sackable offense

He's not the manager we need to turn this ship.

Mourinho got United back on an even keel after the Moyes/LvG debacles, but he spent up all his 'benefit of the doubt' trying to bring the squad together through tough love. Now he's done that, he no longer has the goodwill from the players to get them to run through brick walls for him.

Managing United was always going to be two jobs: making the players tough, and then making the players play well. Jose did the first job and failed at the second. I don't begrudge him that failure because he's definitely on the way to moulding a decent side. But his status at the club has taken too much of a bruising getting us to this point. It's time for him to move on so that somebody else can finish the revolution.
Couldn’t agree more with this, well said.

The board don’t seem to want to fire Mourinho until it’s mathematically impossible to qualify to the UCL. They need to be more proactive and realize that fans are going to start leaving in droves. This football is just hard to watch, it has become a chore.

David Moyes Awful Season:
14 games
6 wins
4 draws
4 losses
22 points
+4 goal difference

LVG Awful Season:
14 games
8 wins
4 draws
2 losses
28 points
+10 goal difference

Jose This Season:
14 games
6 wins
4 draws
4 losses
22 points
-1 goal difference

Worth pointing out that it was Game 14 that it started going wrong for LVG. Moyes bad season went on a run of 4 straight wins from Game 16.

I don't understand how he can moan about the way the team play when he's the one who sets out the team and picks the players. If he wants one touch football and quicker passing don't play the likes of Matic and Fellaini in the middle ffs

Seems like he's just telling them to attack and pass more quickly without actually training them to do so.

Joke of a coach now.

At a football club he would've been sacked quite some time ago. Sadly we're gonna wait till it's cheap to fire him because we're a business.

So, yes, we could definately add more quality to our team, but fecking hell, surely the olayers we have should be playing better.

From winning the league at Chelsea, he took them to 15th, resulting in him being sacked.

Why cant people see the same thing is happening, and that he's a big part of the problem? We came 2nd last season and we've regressed. Granted we didnt sign the players he wanted, its not good enough. He set us up to fail from the start of the season and its time he gets out of our club.

Someone now needs to grab a hold of him and throw him out of the door . Before he causes even more damage.
His line up screamed sabotage again and no attempt was made to take a risk. Coward

A reminder of the early table for that awful LVG season (late November).

Team P GD Pts
1 Leicester 13 8 28
2 Man Utd 13 10 27
3 Man City 13 14 26
4 Arsenal 13 12 26
5 Tottenham 12 10 21

Least we had some positivity early on.

Can see Mourinho being fired in aroubd March and Woodward bringing in Roberto Martinez.

Then a year or two from now we'll be all complaining about playing shite and dropping points to Norwich and Brighton

It actually explains a lot. It seems he's unable to understand that there are some technical requirements certain players need to meet in order to play quick passing game. He's acting like this is old ISS1 football on PS1 where you take out Romario and put Roberto Carlos on the LW.

It's all fecking bullshit isnt it. He moans about lack of pressing and quick passing but continues to pick players like Matic, Young, Fellaini, Lukaku. Herrera, Mata, Fred, Rashford are constantly in and out of the team despite them clearly being far more suitable to a quick style of play.
He's trying to save face, luckily most of us aren't stupid and so see through it.

Looks awful really. When even Moyes has a better record than you then it's time to call it a day. Honestly think our play was better under Moyes

Was staunchly in the "he needs time" camp but changed my vote. Our players are getting worse under Mourinho. He is taking our club backwards, which after 2.5 years is not acceptable.

Should have moved on when top 4 was practically salvageable. The board, fans and pundits who helped keep him in the job this long really should have a look at themselves because that decision was on the back of sentiment not logic. There was nothing that showed our fortunes were turning or he would turn it around beyond blind faith. We've been looking clueless and dropping points to small teams all year.

Please get a DoF that can actually spot problems early

He should've gone months ago. He won't go until top 4 is mathematically impossible - a ridiculously short-sighted measure for a club of this size.

Even the club he did everything for didn't stand for his shit this long.

He's off. Better off now bringing Jardim as caretaker and treat it as a 6 month job interview for him.

If he gets us better with a long term plan we give him a 2 year contract.

Jose could keep it simple but he complicates everything. Tonight he could have played a midfield 3 of Fred, Herrera, Pogba. Lingard, Rashford, Martial as the front 3. We would have won. But he plays his favourite, slow cloggers. He plays 5 at the back. No one really knows what they’re doing in the system or they do and it depresses the players too. Football isn’t a strict science. Pick your best players, play with speed, drop the bad players.

To me that seemed more like a pop at Pogba taking time on the ball waiting for a run. Especially the bit about keeping it simple.

He is looking for the sack, he has realized that the ambitions of the club are not to win trophies, not to be the most successful club on the pitch, but to keep the cash rolling in from sponsorship. That same cash will mostly disappear out of the club unto unknown projects. He was neither backed nor sacked during the last transfer window. That should really say a lot to anyone who is following what is currently happening at the club. The results of this strategy can be seen on the pitch. We are a really gigantic football club, but what we put on the pitch is like a minnow. It is time this club woke up and if we could shake off the Glazers we may be able to reach our potential. Right now the club is just a milk cow.

Mourinho has to take some......SOME of the blame. How many times does our players sleep, let the opposing team take an early lead before they wake up and play? This is getting ridicolous with the same happened against Newcastle and Bournemouth. Pogba was a disgrace and performing well below his ability.

But the bottom line is this entire squad is bang average. 7th is right. Mourinho should be worshipped for taking this team to 2nd place and two cups including a European title. He has done very well to get as far as he can but now it looks like he can't do it anymore

Whoever comes will still face the same problem as long as that dipshit Woodward is still handling the transfers.

Thanks for everything Jose!

WUM

Thanks for what? He hasn't been coaching the team right at all since last season. Shocking everything. Far too negative........sets team up defensive to not concede and nearly every game they concede early so what's the point?

Subs are a disaster as well, and matic still playing every game

I wanted him out long before Sevilla, but the latest he should've been sacked was right after that game where he dragged the club through the mud.

Sadly, after our two previous managers, I'm not that surprised he's still here.
