Would be a miracle if Mourinho were to be sacked before Christmas: United fans everywhere.

Constantly telling the players they are shit, the world the team is shit is all just a self-fulfilling prophecy. We may think the team is shit, but I bet it isn't nearly as bad as Mourinho makes it out to be. He bought two defenders and cries about needing another and bought three midfielders and claims we need "mad dogs" in midfield.

I think I'm at the stage where I want him gone more than I wanted LVG gone. At least I liked LVG and he didn't keep coming out with ridiculous statements about how awful we are. I actually like Mourinho in some ways but the way it's all about him is just getting too much.

Genuinely think this is a case of Mourinho knowing his days are numbered and wanting the sack and Woodward being stubborn (savvy?) and not seeing the vaue in paying him off.
If we’ve got someone lined up for next summer (poch?) then why sack José now and pay £15-20 million when it’s not going to achieve anything?

People who wanted this man in... look at this. We warned you and I was mocked.
I was with you in saying he was the wrong fit but the media and pundits had convinced people that he guarantees a title in his second season. The way his teams play football was never a fit for a huge club like ours.

He wants the sack doesn’t he?

Sabotage mode activated.
Definitely.
I wish we could sue him for something. This is outrageous from him.
In one way, I don't want him to get his big payout because it would be an injustice to get all that money for destroying us. It's just the damage he's doing whilst still here...

I hope he gets his karma (long overdue), and no top club hires his useless arse. Hope he fades into obscurity, that would hit his stupid ego.

Yes there are - and besides, you make people available, by making them offers and buying out contracts.

Mourinho was given a fecking contract extension last season, that's not his, or our (as fans) problem, it's the idiots who did it - and now they must pay whatever it costs to sack him, and then make a decent appointment.

And if they can't do that, then they also need to leave their current positions, with immediate effect.
Lets be honest, we all know the higher ups don't work that way. They will do a cost benefit analysis and see sacking him now as little benefit (they may not know football, but I'm sure they're advised our Top 4/Champions League hopes are bleak regardless). They will look at the cost and say, nah we'll wait.

Even if we did entertain your idea, how often has a top club been able to buy out a top manager from their current role - do you have any examples to offer? Poch won't leave Spurs, Allegri won't leave Juve, Zidane doesn't want to join the PL, Jardim seems to be in agreement with another club, Pep is with City, Klopp with Liverpool, Nagalsmann due to start in his new role next term and Ancelotti in his debut for Napoli (who likely won't leave them in the lurch out of respect anyway).

Unless you want Benitez or Conte, you won't get a decorated manager in midway through the season.

Bah we’re supposedly the richest club in the world, we can more than afford it.
Yeah, we can afford to do a lot of things but we don't work that way, frustrating as it is.

If a manager shat on my company like Mourinho is then he'd be sacked for gross misconduct and wouldn't get a penny compensation! He should be paying us compensation for the miserable shit football we've been served this season!

I actually hate him. Wasted hundreds of millions, caused so much negativity, moaned and blamed everyone bar himself and is now actively on a mission to deepen the rot as soon as possible to get his compensation. Shite of a manager and a cnut of a person.
This, so much this. I can't believe he's still here. He's hated by everyone except Matic and Woodward.

Maybe we can crowdfund his compensation, surely Woodward would agree with that? It's better than a banner.

Apart from stopping the toxicity in the club that is destroying the United brand, turning off fans, significantly reducing our chances of silverware and European qualification, threatening the signing of players, threatening the chances of existing players re-signing contracts, damaging the confidence of players, reducing the time the club has to rebuild to have a chance at success next season and generally stop United become a laughing stock?

I'm almost sure some of our fans started this already. Though I'm loathe for that man to have a penny of my hardworking money.

It's not the "miracle' bit that's the most annoying. The bit about the squad, last season and our rivals if far more outrageous.
Us needing a miracle is just a matter of fact.
He talks as if he started managing this club yesterday. It's like he's blanked 3 years and €400m from his memory.
I agree with this but this is also why the "United have to sack Mourinho before hiring a Director of Football" argument holds no weight. He is taking no ownership of the recruitment of the squad as things stand, so isn't it better to hire someone competent to do it?

Jose needs to go but the whole structure of the football side of the club is wrong. Until they fix that, any manager will be at a disadvantage.

The more he stays and spouts shite the more I think I didn’t put enough ‘toxic’ related phrases in my rant earlier this season.

The day we sack him will be celebrated greater than the Moyes sacking.

He's a complete clown of a manager nowadays.

And, most importantly for him, impacting the share price. It's currently at the lowest it has been all year.

Yes.
Wasn't this the twat that broke the "Jose WILL be SACKED this weekend, REGARDLESS of the result" story? Wanker.

Regardless, get that miserable, pessimistic, mood-killing, burnt-out, trigger-happy, impulse-purchasing, player-bullying, media-blaming, eye-gouging, youth-destroying, hotel-living, antifootballing, cowardly tacticked dinosaur fecker out of my club.

He has always divided the fans, but is there actually any of you, who still believes he is the right man for Manchester United? I mean.. There are some weaknesses in your squad, but no way is it so bad, that top four would be a miracle to achieve. I am amazed that you still hold on to him.

Good call.

I also should have highlighted that this season is also not a write off.

Winning the league is and it may be very difficult to top 4 is still a realistic possibility (although diffucult) with a new manager. Meanwhile there is the FA Cup and a Champs League where the 'usual suspects' are under par and we've already beaten one of the favourites.

We are in the cups to win them and we have a good chance if we got any half decent footballer in charge, with a bit of structure and encouragement for the team. That is highly unlikely with Jose in charge and I forsee another domestic cup exit to a Championship side, plus a lacklustre exit to a middling European side. Meanwhile it is certainly not fantasy to think that we could end the season outside the top 6 and beyond Bournemouth, Everton, west ham and possibly even Leicester

I genuinely can’t believe Woody is allowing this comedy show to go on. I’ve generally been forgiving of him, but allowing this Mourinho nonsense to continue is absolutely ridiculous.

Not only are the on field performances below sub par, he’s still constantly picking fights with players and throwing everyone but himself under the bus to try and defend his own reputation.

The club becomes considered a waste for another season, players may become disenfranchised and try to move next summer, and we look on course to struggle for a fecking top ten finish. At some point along the line someone has to realize that the damage Mourinho is doing is going to cost the club more, not just in the long term but as early as next summer, than it would be to just pay him off.

I know we rant about the board being incompetent, but there’s no way that any sane functional human can be this obtuse and not realize the damage being done here. There has to be some issue with sorting out his replacement, rather than them just not realizing that he needs to go.

IF the quote is true, it's basically a direct message to Ed "Sack me now so I get my money, we have no chance of TOP 4 anyway".

You’ve basically covered all the bases there. Well done sir.

I wonder if any other club would have allowed to let their manager be so immensely negative in public. Most notably, the comments he made post-Sevilla.

William Bligh better be worried bounty FC don’t crash into the rocks, with his narsist personality that we could easily finish 12th or 14th. Start worrying for a top 10 let alone top 4, this could easy turn into a relegation fight
