It's important to remember that you have all sorts of characters in locker rooms, our youngsters depending on their own character will look up to different players. You need players that are quiet, players that are always too serious, other that are balanced and also the jokers, the players that always maintain a certain level of enthusiasm. The only thing that you want from all players is that they train at a high level on a daily basis and that they perform in games, as far as I know Pogba and Lingard are players that have been praised for their quality on the training pitch and set a high standard.

Their videos make me cringe most of the time but it has no incidence on the quality of their daily work, I would actually worry if any of them changed during tougher times, being even tempered is a quality in a potentially stressing situation.
Indeed. It's not like it takes a particular amount of effort to post those videos, or demonstrates an attitude towards our struggles that wouldn't be shared by those who don't.

Take Mata for example and his decision not to write his blog after our recent poor results. Surely nobody in their right mind thinks he made that decision because he's emotionally bereft by our poor form? He's done it because he is an experienced player who is savvy to the way fans are likely to react based on his career playing in front of what are now the older age cohort of fans.

Younger players don't have that experience, nor are fans their age as likely to see these videos as some lack of commitment. There's a generational gap for sure but that doesn't mean someone like Mata is being more professional or having less fun in the face of our poor results than someone like Lingard.

I've put money on Liverpool to win so I've done my part. Hoping for a miracle.

Can't remember the last time I felt so negative heading into a game with Liverpool.

To say I'm bricking it would be an understatement.
Same. I also rarely don’t look forward to a game but absolutely dreading this. Could be a long afternoon.

Keane and Neville never commented on the video...
It’s clear Keane doesn’t understand this generation of players by his comments about Lingard today. So it’s 100% relevant.

I’d love us to go back to the good ol’ days, when men were men etc - but this is a different generation. Keane and Neville don’t know how to deal with them. Unfortunately neither does our manager.

Well, if we loose this, at least we will know why.
It's because Lingard is a bit childish and has an outgoing personality.

I wouldn't take any consolation in losing a match, to any team.
I want us to win every single match we play.

What is up with fans today?
I have never entered into a game actively hoping to lose it - especially against the dippers - and that isn't about to happen today. I hope we batter them by an outrageous scoreline, but I'm not feeling at all confident in all honesty.

If losing to our most bitter rivals helps expedite the process of Jose's sacking, then I will take consolation in that. I'm a cup half full guy.

Wanting us to lose, against anyone, is unacceptable and a pile of shite!

There is no silver lining losing against them!
Thank God for that , thought I was in the minority, NEVER EVER want to lose against Liverpool or anybody.
I dont understand the hope we get hammered so Jose gets the sack , it wont happen , he wont be sacked even if we do get hammered.

Im not looking forward to this... we could lose with big numbers and it will be a terrible watch or Mourinho will park the biggest bus he has ever parked and the game willl be terrible to watch.

Terrible to watch games only got okay if United actually wins but i doubt that will happen..

I wish people would stop making this nonsense assertion, Pogba's 25 and Lingard 26 they're not some new young generation and they're a minority acting in this fashion. Acting the fool is not some new generational behaviour we've seen plenty in the premier league era.

    Nope.
I don't care what they do.

But, when your club is in the shit and you continuously put in half arsed performances, uploading this shit is not a good idea and it angers me

Like i say, i'm probably out of touch. This is obviously what people like to see from our players these days. This is what our younger players coming through are looking up to. Different times.
Don't think you're out of touch, just things like this used to go on all the time in Fergies days but there were no social media posts about it so no one was privy to it.
Still, as long as they put that amount of energy into the game today....

Anyone else have complete apathy to this one? Normally I can't wait for this fixture and find it difficult to do anything before the game but today has been a breeze. It really is a chore watching United now, what with the cnuts that play for and manage us.

Yeah I was just thinking about gazza and the antics he used to get up to long before social media

We won't get battered, if they go 2 up I think they'll just let their defence see it out ahead of a busy christmas. Whether we can fluke our usual 0-0 is another matter. Seems unlikely but you never know.

Agree with you. The problem is not a generation issue but a performance issue. If they were performing on the pitch no one would say anything. Or no one can say anything because they are doing their paid job which is playing good football and wining matches.

They are 20 odd years younger than Keane. Of course things are vastly different now as to when Keane was 25. Keane believes that players should only concentrate on football - but these days footballers max their own marketing potential with games, clothes etc etc.

We are literally deadwood drifting to nowhere in the league, so let us try and be useful for once in halting Liverpool's momentum. A deflating loss to a bitter rival could psychologically impact them in their title challenge.

Tbf I'm not sure if any lineup can really help us much today. We'll likely lose whatever 11 is out there. Hoping for an upset though

This game is going to be a massive borefest despite all the people suggesting a massive scoreline for Pool. This is Jose's career game, lose this and he basically only has the CL to fight for. Our title campaign is dead weeks before Christmas, which is depressing in of itself. We are not going to win the CL, nor get top 4 and if he loses here, the second we're out of the CL Jose is out of a job.

If we eke out a draw or a jammy 1-0 win, there's a chance he stalls the inevitable for a little bit longer.

You can bet he's going to park the bus and avoid losing.

You are the one who posted it and tried to create something, so logically I responded to your post. If you weren't doing it relatively regularly you wouldn't feel oppressed.

Now since I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable, I will say it once and not bother you again. For your own good, put things into context and stop getting angry for meaningless videos.
Can you please give my little one's a talking to?
