At least selling Bonucci was useful to buy legend players like Milito and Motta that won the treble and btw the real value of Bonucci was seen at Milan, average player with no character. Adding Mutu is pretty laughable too, his career went to nothing.
Cannavaro went to Juve in a vile way and after all he didnt win nothing at Juve, actually he got even relegated.
But sure ad I said we are ashamed about the mistakes made about youngsters over the years, there are many responsables about this situation.
Mutu was a fantastic player when he was young, and became one of the best ones in Europe years before to have drug problems. And Bonucci's career has been a little bit better than the career of Ranocchia, I think.

Yeah Mutu was promising (till cocaine took him) but he’s far to be a regret for Inter, his best moments of his career were at Parma and Fiorentina, making good seasons but still failed in the big clubs (Chelsea and Juve).
Bonucci was part of a deal (along with Destro and few others) that brought big success to Inter, so I dont get the comparasion between Ranocchia and Bonucci. Is like saying that Henry had a better career than Amauri, whatever

Inter sold Zaniolo to Rome for 4.5 millions this summer as part of the acquisition, for 40 millions, of Nainggolan (a real failure). Now, after a few months, he is worth about 10 times more. Another great success of the most pathetic side in Italy, the same that sold in the past, for peanuts, players like Pirlo, Seedorf, Cannavaro, Roberto Carlos...
Congratulations!!!
Is Zaniolo an out and out striker or wide player/second striker?

Out and out striker and it's obviously near impossible to replace Icardi there (although seems his contract talks have stalled). Bit more withdrawn and I agree bad error from Inter when you consider their regular wide players Candreva and Perisic are around 30 so will need to be replaced soon.

Zaniolo is an attacking midfielder. Pretty versatile and been used in a variety of positions, but mostly he's an attacking mid

Their CL game is on Wednesday, right? I'm sure that sort of 5 day turnaround is fine, even for a 34 year old Ronnie. Plus I bet he wants to play.

I wasn't thinking so much on the 5 days but looking at the bigger picture of the season, but ok.

Fair play. I mean, they've already won the league, so no reason not to rest him :D (Unless he just really wants to play).

Don't doubt he wants to be the top goalscorer in Serie A.

Parma have been officially exposed as a Serie B team who are struggling to gain points. It's gonna be difficult to stay up if we keep playing in this way.

How? You are 11 points clear of 18th.

It was all this last season, Parma have next to no chance of promotion when they were only 2-3 points off top position.

I'm still confused why west ham never offered like £50m for papu or Ilicic

Now this is shaping up to be very good win for Milan....1 down away to Atalanta and now 1-3 in about 15 minutes. That man Piatek with two more.

I think Ilicic is a very underrated footballer...been a good player in Seria A for many years at Fiorentina before he went to Atalanta.

Gomez didn't really impress me when he played a few games for Argentina last year, think he might get a bit lost playing for a bigger club where he's just another player rather than having a system built around him.

Milan win 3-1 and keep the 4th place. They are on a great run atm. Let's see if they can keep it up. Surely, having Piatek insted of Fatty helps.

Still many games left and we have completely switched off mentally. Let's hope that we can fluke some wins to stay up.

What’s going on with that Serie C game. Home team 16-0 at Half time with 95% possession
Apparently Piacenza started the game with 8 players only and the coaching stafc hasn't even travelled. The team forfeited their previous three games and they would have been automatically kicked out of the league if they hadn't shown up this time.

Isn't that unfair on the other teams in the league? Correct me if I'm wrong, but a forfeit is typically a 3-0 win to the other team, right? But they're just giving away a huge GD advantage by turning up but not actually playing properly.

If it impacts the table at all, maybe it'll be swapped to a 3-0? I've no idea.

I don't know actually. The games they didn't show up for are listed as postponed so maybe they'll play them later somehow? I dunno.

Remember Piacenza playing in Seria A in late 90s. They had a 40 year old CB playing for them, Pietro Vierchowod.

Apparently Torino have some kind of power in the away games which makes the opposition unable to score more than they do. Napoli have fluffed many attacks tonight.

Not what I want to be hearing as I’ve got money on Napoli...

12 away matches with a 2-9-1 record, conceding less than a goal per game. Only loss is to Roma.

Looking at their performances in general this season they've only lost twice to Roma and against Napoli, Parma and Juventus at home. Seems like a club that you'd hate to play against.
