Point is that you think it's just Messi fans who soil themselves when Ronaldo fails. The other way is the exact same thing.
I agree with you what I’m saying is this forum has a lot more Messi fans then Ronaldo ones.

Atletico got done by Morata disallowed goal, still scored twice after. Character. Like the Arsenal game last year. Are Juventus a worse team with Ronaldo? Dybala seemingly suffering the most.
Nothing to do with Ronaldo. Juventus have always been pretty one dimensional under Allegri. They're not free flowing enough to breach Atletico at Wanda so were always relying on a moment's brilliance (which almost came with Ronaldo's FK).

Don't know if they're a worse team but their results have definitely been worse. Lost 3 CL games already, been poor through most of the CL campaign and they just never seem very convincing to me despite being unbeaten in Serie A (no surprise that though?).

Juventus playing on the front foot might still make it interesting in the second leg.

Don’t think this is over yet.

That might be the case. Suppose the fact that Ronaldo has a few very vocal ones draws more attention than the faceless masses who worship Messi. Incidentally a faceless mass resembles Messi as a person quite well.

Dortmund beat Atletico 4-0 at home earlier on in the season so not ruling out Juventus yet. Atletico won't score at Juventus stadium.
That score was a bit misleading. IIRC Atletico got stiffed on some decisions I think had a goal wrongly ruled out and dominated. Conceded goals right at the end chasing the game. They'll park the bus vs. Juventus.

So happy for Atletico. I really enjoyed that game. Vintage stuff. This is their best performance since 2016. I think they are so determined to make that final it's going to take something very special to prevent them getting there.

How did the poll in the Messi vs Ronaldo thread end up tied?
I think the mods put it that way. Because it’s the “never ending debate” so too avoid craziness in the forum they left it as a tie and will do so until they both retire.

and how shite must Schalke be to bottle 2-1 at home with extra man and 5 minutes left?

Of course not. Early Juventus goal and it's all to play for. Atletico are also missing Costa and Partey
I think Morata for Costa is probably beneficial being that Atletico will drop deep and counter. Koke likely to partner Rodrigo and I'd personally play Vitolo on the left because he can run his bollocks off. Atletico will make Juventus not play their natural game until it's 2-0 at least so Atletico will have a lot of counters.

Ah I see Ronaldo is back to mediocrity in CL without the support of Modric.

Before you crucify me, the same thing has happened to other great players as well: Messi's most dominant period in the CL ended with Xavi's decline.

One midfielder alone is never winning you the CL - Madrid won't win it this year as well. But to play great football and have maximum success, you need both: The impeccable forward and the brilliant midfielder.

Juve will struggle against A Madrid in the return leg. They could probably play for ten hours and still would not penetrate that A Madrid system.

What Juve need is an early goal to have a chance.

Oh - people in Germany thought that Schalke would really play like a 0:6 or something tonight. So that 2:3 actually still sounds very well...

Schalke right now is underachieving (when you see the players - but they do not have the players for top of the league but a lot better than they are in the table right now), do not have a real playing philosophy (wanted this season to play not just parking the bus and counter attacking - even bought Rudy for that - just to recognize that the team is not good enough to do this in the league), no leading players and no philosophy.

I do not understand Dybala´s market value.Very disappointing, like all Juventus.
Cris had a good shot in a free kick, with another goalkeeper would have been a great goal
It has nothing to do with today's game, but I think Lemar has little future at Atlético.

Just for the record, the way Kevin De Bruyne ‘dwelled on the ball’ and was robbed before Schalke won their first penalty tonight is exactly the sort of thing people imply is exclusive only to Pogba. There is a tendency to imply that all other good midfielders never give the ball away at times.
