Would I take winning the CL over not winning any cup at all? Hmm, that's a toughie. I'm going to have to sleep on that one.

A better question would be would you take Liverpool winning the League but we win the FA Cup?

That's a tougher one I think.

Would you suck off Steven Gerrard for 15 seconds if it stopped Liverpool from ever winning the PL?
How would that work? The scandal would get them docked 20 points a season for eternity?

Let me understand this. You are asking a Manchester United forum if they would take winning the champions league or not winning. What the flying feck do you expect someone to say?

I’d rather we won nothing if it meant Liverpool winning the PL or the CL.

for a supposedly biggest club in the world we are really lagging behind on champions leagues. Stuck on 3 and looking above to see Ajax on 4 , Bayern/Liverpool/Barcelona on 5, Milan 7 and Madrid 13. we should be higher on the list. for all our dominance under Fergie it's very disappointing we couldn't win it more
than twice.

Without a shadow of a doubt.

4 European Cups would be incredible.

Alright, sorry, it was a stupid thread. Feel free to delete it.
Would have been better if you made a thread about "Would fans take a top 4 (Even top 3) spot, or missing out on top 4 already but with the Champions League Final to play?".
That thread would have been more amusing and more about ourselves also.

Pointless question.

We are Man Utd and we should be aiming for major silverware: the EPL and the UCL.
No other trophy comes anywhere close to winning these 2 apart from giving us pride-by-proxy.
It doesn't matter what our rivals win, all that matters is that we win major silverware and remain in contention for major silverware for the next season.

Already dreading all the "United getting top four vs Liverpool winning the league" discussions before our game against City. It's going to be relentless.

Normally if you asked this question during Mourinho's tenure, I would say NO.

But this feels different because even if they won the PL, us winning the CL will be the beginning of a new United era. We will be hated again, teams will be scared coming to us again.

So yeah. I'd take the CL, we coming back next season to widen the gap.

Hell yes! You don't get to win the cl often so that's easy.

Yep. But the build up to that final would be fecking unbearable. The glory of a possible CL title - or the horror of them doing the double. feck!

I'd take any 'what if' scenario about this season if it meant United winning the CL. I wouldn't care one bit what anyone else does.

Yes, I suppose we can crow over beating them in the CL and raining on their parade when they win the PL.

Preferably take our parade bus and ram it against theirs when we both do it simultaneously as well.:D

Would not because I fully excpect them to bottle both now that they are in the QF. I said it before if they got knocked out yesterday they could put a full effort in the league with no distractions and aldo their first 11 is great they don't have a strong squad like City.

Beating them in the CL final would be amazing. But so is their 20+ year dry spell in the league. It's a tough one. Thoughts?
Winning CL is our back door to playing CL next season, among other things. And it is the biggest trophy in club football, too. If we manage to win this tournament, it will be a great achievement.

Absolutely yes, to stop them getting 6 European cups and we get our 4th in the process, it would be one of the best moments in our history imo.

So basically what you are asking - is our success more important that Liverpools failure ?

Anyone not answering "YES" to do that qustion, surely isnt a fan!

:lol::lol::lol::lol: I think the ones who'd prefer a City quadruple over Liverpool winning the PL would be on their knees instantly infront of Stevie Sliphard!
