Actually there is a risk (for us) - if English club wins EL and Spurs win CL while failing to make top 4, then 4th spot in EPL won’t give CL qualification, and 4th spot is something we want.
It is if a side finishes outside the Top 4 and wins the CL, it would prevent 4th place qualifying for the CL. That is what happened when Liverpool won it and was it Spurs missed out. It would be the Top 3, the CL winner and the EL winner.

I mean, to nullify this risk, we need English teams to be out of Europa League

Arsenal going through is an excellent result for us. The longer they stay in, the better our chances against them and Chelsea for top 4.

Is it good thing to wish Rennes to score so we, well, they can have 30 more minutes of football to play?
Our next league match is in 17 days time so I don't think 30 extra minutes is going to make too much difference

I keep seeing this and it's absolutely incorrect. Only a non-top 4 finishing side winning the CL (basically only Spurs) can stop us getting into CL. The EL winner have their own slot independent of what happens with their league.

Benfica and Porto are masters of PR. I am watching this Felix kid and i don't see any difference between him and lets say Chong or Greenwood.
*i admit that this is only 2nd time that i watch him play*

Anyone but Rashford
Rennes lost that tie in the first leg. They’re a disgrace.

The problem is, that 5 slots is a max quota. If spurs win CL while finishing outside top 4, and English clubs don’t win EL, than England will have 5 teams in CL and 4th spot qualifies.

So Frankfurt have now dominated Shakhtar, Marseille, Lazio, and Inter in this Europa League campaign. What a season for them!

Nope. That's not how it works. In that case 4th place would miss out and England would only have 4 teams in the CL

If two English sides win the CL & the EL with neither finishing in the top four, the fourth placed side drops to the EL.

Otherwise the top four all qualify for next season’s CL.

Only way to have 5 clubs in CL is that club outside top 4 clubs wins EL. If club outside top 4 wins CL then 4th team goes in EL

Only if a club outside the top 4 also wins the EL
Nope. I repeat; only way to have 5 clubs is through EL. If lets say United win CL and finish 5th then 4th club loses CL spot

Edit: chelsea did it to Spurs when they won it under Di matteo

The 4th place CL slot is only lost if both the CL & EL winners are from the PL and outside the top 4.

They changed the rules after Spurs missed out that season.
