Even alcoholics can bag in the MLS. GO COSMOS.
dunno if you’re taking the mick but Cosmos are Nasl. Still hoping for a proper relegation promotion system. Stars like Raul and Marcos Senna used to grace the Hofstra pitch. Rooney could probably score a few in that league :wenger:

NASL is actually pretty much gone, I guess it technically sort of still exists but there is pretty much 0% chance of it ever operating again. Cosmos have been fielding a "B team" in the amateur NPSL and are touted to join the new NPSL Pro when it starts next year.

Right, so a Rooney of 10 years ago?

Yup, a prime Best would be great too.

What is the point of posting shit like this?
 Calm down, just having a little reminiscing session.

About as much point as your petty, pointless reply I suppose Big Col.

He's scoring some crazy goals over there. Corners, half way line strikes, goalkeeper lobs.

He's been trying that for years. Happy for him.
He scored a similar goal with us against WHU in Moyes season. Also I think he scored another with Everton after he left in United, in the game he scored his hattrick.

My favourite United player. I was mesmerised watching Rooney as a kid and initially, he (plus Ronaldo) was the main reason that I became a fan of the club. Tried my best to emulate their style when I was playing football on the streets and at school.

It's great to see him enjoying the game again ever since going to the MLS. Seems to be a popular and important figure for his team ever since arriving there.

Think that's the 4th of his career. 2 for United, 1 for Everton and now this one.

God I miss a prime Rooney at united.
I got a pang of regret when I watched it. Gave me flash back to his prime here and the realisation of how many substandard and weak willed players we have at the club now.

I'd give anything to see a character like his play in our colours again. Great player, his decline took a little bit of the shine off his time with us. But I'll remember the Ronaldo and Rooney times for a long time. It was great watching those two play.

It did, but now he's gone it's much easier to remember the good times. When Fergie left everything pretty much went to shite, it wasn't just Rooney who declined. So if you use Moyes as a sort of MiB neuralyzer, where all of Fergie's great players become figments of the imagination after the 2012-13 season, all's right with the world.

Witnessing Wayne ‘The Insane’ Rooney with the fresh bald cut play for United was one of my best memories as a United fan.

The way fans climb over themselves to show how much more they hate the guy than the rest cause he once [or was it twice, or thrice] asked to leave the club will always bemuse me.

There is not a single player at this club currently that I wouldn’t exchange for this man.

To think there’s people that see De Gea as some martyr whilst they hate Rooney.

So underrated here. Played right, left, centre, amc, mc, dmc, full back, was on the bench and still he became best goalscorer in history of Man Utd and England. There is no player in our squad who can even be compared with Wayne's contribution to this club, attitude and quality.

When did that happen?

My love for him has come back since he left. I am delighted for him. Seems to be enjoying himself.
