United and boring football has become a trademark bigger than Chelsea being defensive previously. Not looking like it's going to change any time soon. New generations will hate us as much as Chelsea I believe.

Regarding the first part of your statement, we'll find out in the summer as we cannot even be sure of that yet
Yup, I don't understand that statement. We're going into the unknown here. New for Ole too, I just hope he gets it right because we need it badly.

Hopefully OGS(and the rest of the coaches) are able to learn the team to move and keep possession. Far to easy to close us off. This might be influenced by players not being good enough on the ball as well and some technical players coming in might help on this.
We must be good enough on the ball to be able to control the game against most teams next season, and be able to play against balanced defences. Only able to create chances and scoring on penalties and counter attacking will not make next season any easier than the current one.

Start building a new team or sink with same underperforming players. Easy choice for Ole or any manager with a brain.

I still believe he'll make supporters happy.

So which one is it? Is he making too many changes? Or is he not dropping the players he should be dropping?

We have had a ton of injuries lately, and none of our players are back to par. Give the manager a fecking brake and stop poisoning this club, especially when we're winning.
For me it's about Lingard and Young finishing games. It annoys me

Questionable substitutions again. Should have replaced one, or even two, of the three behind Lukaku at half time. Even after that Lingard and Martial survived to full 90 while Lukaku was hooked when our only attacking play was crosses into the box.

Also, don't get the point of Lukaku on the right. He is our only striker who can get behind crosses. He shouldn't be the one with the responsibility of making them; it should be the other way around.

Fair. Its just that he says he wants hard working players first and foremost & that's becoming more and more obvious. A lack of grit around the pitch & stability.

Good tactical changes at 70ish mins. Think we got line up wrong at start, he must be feeling he’s taken on the impossible job in the last month he’s going to have to oversee huge surgery to this squad and hope his pre season fitness training can get them better set for a long season next year cos I think the squad is utter knackered from his style of play

BTW is that a coincidence that next season went to shite after giving Mourinho his contract extension and now performance has dropped massively after giving Ole his contract ?

One word, Woodward.

This thread

This isn’t bizarre that there’s now a return to shit performances. The team still lacks balance and there’s still a lack of quality in certain areas. Next season is when I’ll judge him.
You may as well put this statement aside cause it looks like you'll need for a long time.

I think he's done more than enough so far. With the state of our squad, we are collectively a tad better than the sum of our useless parts.

I was in diplomatic mood so far. Never said 100% what i really think about him, but now i will say it.
He is average manager. His last spell in Molde was average( two times 5th and one time third). In Cardiff it was debacle. Except his first few games here, our general play is nearly the same as it was with Jose.
He is all that nice talk and smile but on the pitch it is the same as it was with Jose. And to be completely honest, Jose at least didn't play on counters against small teams at OT.
You all say that he needs 300mil to build his squad. Our squad is not top class but he is dominated by West Ham and Watford at OT. There is no excuse for that.

We fecked up with new coach. Again.

Not impressed with the recent performances post honeymoon period. Looks a lot like Di Matteo and Ranieri more so than Zidane. United should have waited till the end of season to make a decision.
Because our squad and the Real squad he took over are comparable?

Seems like he’s chosen his favorites and they stay on the pitch no matter what.
I love him but I said that previously and it's pretty obvious. Like Mourinho and LVG he seems focused on his favorites always playing. The 3 seem to also love bang average players as their favorites.

Maybe that's the reason Lukaku's representative decided to make some noise about his client, because he's not sure about his client's position in the club anymore.

Worrying signs for sure. The fact that we still resemble a Mourinho team doesn't bode well.
He’s had something like 4 months as manager and you’re worried that we still look like the old managers team?

Our last manager was right. Some fans believe you can change the style of football as easy as you can on fifa.

I think the bolded part is more bizarre then this thread tbh. Why can't we judge him now, 4 months after he took this job and we still play same shite football? I personally think we didn't improve at all during this time. We got a few lucky wins but that's about it. Some people just got blinded by a few really good results.

Massively disappointed by the fact he is blind to certain players' shit performances game after game.
This is really worrying me tbh.

Jose and LVG showed misplaced loyalty to players also and it angered us but at least it was to established players who had proven themselves once upon a time.

How Lingard played 90mins today and against Wolves is a mystery.

Well, I'd believe that if the last manager wasn't sabotaging the club for the last few months of his reign. We're one of the few teams who simply don't look like a football team.

Fecking hell, did people really forgot that couple months ago we were battered 3-1 by this West Ham side? The old manager would have brought fellaini today in 70th minute

Now we have a manager who take a risk, who throw some kids into the game and a cm to play right back and risk it to take a win, and people are saying we didn't improve at all and are saying some unbelievably stupid shit 4 months into his managerial campaign

God I really hate how negative this place sometimes

A game which Mourinho took a risk by playing a young CM in the backline to try improve our playing out the back. A move he has since been relentlessly criticised for. How is then playing Andreas at RB a positive from Ole?

Regardless of who the manager is, this type of performance is not acceptable, no way in hell. People shouldnt hide him behind the fact that its not his squad, because there is no need for it but picking players like Young or Rojo today is on him and "who else?" thing doesnt fly.

Give him money, lets see who he is getting rid off and who he is getting in for next season, thats all fine. Its just a shame that after his start he had, he missed a chance to draw a line and set up clear standards when it comes to performances. Instead, things went other way a bit, where result is all, players started yapping about him getting a job, whole top 4 nonsense (so we can score one goal at home in CL i guess) and here we are, scratching our heads even in victory.

Worst part, its not even that i am unhappy when we won its just we all watched this movie before, at the end it will catch up on us, it always does. I would love nothing more then things to work out for us and him but that doesnt mean we should act there are not issues here or there.

Last few months are a perfect copy of Mourinho's 2nd season - playing shite but getting good results here and there but we all know it doesn't last long. I don't think people who are worried about Ole's ability to take us forward are negative. We all want him succeed but there are some very worrying signs that cannot be ignored.

Lingard who plays every 2,3 games?
He obviously plays whenever he's fit. He wasn't fit the previous few games. I'll say Rashford too, same, starts whenever he's 100% fit, gets on the bench only when he's not fit enough.

Its quite predictable in here. Things go south, lets blame the manager. Despite the fact that we are onto our fourth manager in 5 years, people still want to blame the manager.

Atleast with LVG and Mourinho, they were responsible for the bad buys they made. But Ole has not yet had a chance to buy anyone, so what is he supposed to do?

The players make so many mistakes in a match that its hard to look past them: poor touches, bad decisions, messing up easy passes, standing still.

The other thing that is now becoming a theme is that he has favourites. Well who is he supposed to play in place of Martial, Lingard, Lukaku? Alexis? Or the easy throwaway answer, the kids Greenwood and Chong. I don’t think even Fergie threw kids in to the fire during the business end of the season.

Lets give Ole a chance to put his ideas into practice, get the right players in, have a pre-season where he gets to coach them and prepare them.

Lingard recently was fit and didn't start every game. Also it's not that we have many options up front anyway.
