How can people blame Ole for this? It's beyond me, fecking ridiculous. Only thing on him is starting XI and tactics, out there it's all on the players.

What other starting XI would you lot pick, when all we have laying around is utter garbage? Start with a whole team of academy players or? It's SADLY the best we have. And it's not his fault. It's the fault of three managers before him and stubborn higher ups, who didn't want to reinforce the squad in positions, even a 10 year old would've said we're lacking in.

With the on-pitch performance it's the same thing. He can't control the players' decision making? He can't go out there and pass it for Martial, he can't go and finish it instead of Lukaku. Our players are clueless. For feck sake, look at Martial's fecking face, he can't be arsed. They are not motivated, and even if he does try and pump them up before a game, they don't seem to put in enough effort. What is the guy supposed to do, give him a fecking break, give him fecking time.

I'm not blind, I see the utter shite this club has become, but there has to be time for the person, who wants to change the situation, to actually do so. Let's judge him in an year. No single manager in the world would've been able to do a much better job.
To an extent I agree, still think they should have waited till he end of the season before making any appointment.

However, what good is it saying the tactics are bad when the players just clearly aren’t up to the task

There are systemic problems within the club that go far beyond Ole but why does he get automatic, absolute faith? It's a bizarre approach. We aren't duty-bound to back him if we think an alternative option will be better for the club.
I think I'm right in saying since Old took over in the form table we are 3rd with a point behind Pool & City. The negative reaction is because we have lost a couple of games(Two of them being against Barcelona).

Its beyond stupid to see such a reaction.

We were flying high and beating everybody in our way much longer than we've subsequently been shit. If a handful of games is enough to get a newly-appointed manager sacked, what manager with any kind of reputation would come here afterwards? Sack him now and we're the same as Chelsea, a club that is looked down upon. It takes way more than a few months to make any judgments about a manager, especially one that took over a team in disastrous form and has yet to make any signings.

Sack him now. Don't give him 300 mil and sack him in december when he fecks up another season.
This broad wouldn't give the manager who got them to 2nd place more than 80m, the give Ole the job thinking they wouldn't have to spend more 80m in the summer.

Pogba and Lukaku would arguably qualify as the former and players like Matic and various others would arguably qualify as the latter.
Absolute rubbish.

For starters, Pogba was sold because he had a bad attitude.

Sadly I truly don't think he'll make it to December - especially if the Saudis take over. They'll be more ruthless than the current regime.

Because he's barely been in the job. Most managers get automatic faith for their first few months. Not to mention there is no way we sack him now so the focus needs to be on the players and board.
But that's often because said managers are appointed with the presumption that they're good enough to do the job. Ole was literally brought in as a stopgap to get us to the end of the season - his early good performances were what eventually earned him the main role, but now that good form has gone away it's increasingly a lot harder to justify why he should warrant extended faith. What's he done to earn it? I don't want to heap all of the blame on him because the club has systemic problems which run much deeper, but if we're going to condemn the players when they hit poor dips of form I don't see why the manager should be any different. You can't have it both ways: if he gets praise for improving us, he needs to take flak when we fall to shite. Otherwise we're being far too selective.

He needs a massive summer. We need to basically say feck it from a business POV and take the hit on players that just need cutting. Players like Sanchez and Matic, just feck them off for whatever. Pay them off to end their contracts. Be ruthless. Nothings going to happen if we dont have a massive summer.
Well nothings going to change when Jones and Smalling are at the back with that clown Young.

He or whoever has given them long term contracts because they believe in shite English players. So getting rid of Sanchez and Matic isn’t going to resolve anything. Sanchez barely plays anyway. Rashford and Martial are not clinical enough. Lukaku isn’t great.

Who comes on? Lingard and Sanchez?
Definately. Sanchez has more in his little finger than Rashford and Martial at the moment, and Lingard can at least find a man with a square pass, which automatically makes him better than Martial.

Also Fred for McTominay was just stupid. We lost even more control in our midfield. Fred wasn't great but he was the only one trying to pass forwards and feed players in with a quick pass. Not draging his foot over the ball and sticking his arse out to shield a la Pogba.

He chose to change a 3-0 deficit by bringing on Young and McTominay for feck sake. Sure the players take 90% of the blame but he's not helping himself with shit subs like that.

Players looks gassed and unmotivated. No fighting spirit. Like they are thinking only about what to invest their salary in next week. This is not about Ole being out of his fecking depths! It would always take time. if you get another manager and continue blaming anyone else than the players and what has been done before by the board and ex-managers, you will end up with no continuity or long-term management and it will get even worse!

Ole fecking deserves to choose some players and have at least one season of his own. MU sucks atm but this is not about tactical failure. It is about a lack of spine and moral in a lot of players, about low fitness levels and low stamina etc, about having some over the top players, some who does not fit in, and some who are to erratic in their performances.

I kept saying it.

Wait until the end of the season.

I never wanted Giggs as manager for this very reason. We are too big to be making emotionally driven decisions.
I agree they should have broke the bank for Poch and let him sell all the crap at this club and build his team.

Now next season is a leap year because United wont get top 4 Ole will be sacked by Christmas and the cycle continues again.

It was widely acknowledged that selling Pogba was a mistake once he went on to become a key player at Juve. He's frustrating but his quality has often been fairly evident.

What happens when he signs his own batch of poor players like LVG did?

Spending money only isn't the cure to our problems. Firing managers too.

The problem is all that you have listed. Hence, the solution is to hire a proven, experienced coach, someone not past it like LvG or Jose, but who has been successful working with average players, keeps a cool head and is willing to take on the job. Pochettino was perfect.

In contrast, Ole is an unknown quantity. Can we gamble with that when the squad is already so poor? Not unless he did the impossible like winning the CL or making top 4 atleast, but even that is gone now. Hiring an inexperienced or incompetent manager is going to compound the problems.

Nobody is blaming Ole. Woodward gave him the contract too early. Probably the only club chief in history to have cocked up next season months before it even began, a new record.

LVG had demonstrated in previous jobs that he had the capability of sometimes getting it completely wrong despite his quality due to his stubbornness. The signs of Mourinho's decline were obvious at Chelsea.
So who? At the time we hired both of them, who should we have gone for instead? This club is rotten from the top down, and i really don't think it matters who is the manager before massive stuctural changes are made.

So it was all Solskjaer when things were going well, and it's all the players when things are going badly? OK mate.

Whats the solution? Sack Ole and bring in Silva? That's how reactive and changeable opinions are on here...

Terrible result and performance but give him a chance. He's been here less 5 months and hes not brought in a single player or able to dispose of any.

It’s not emotionally decisions, it’s just money-saving decisions from the leeches board. They’ve got their YES-MAN in Ole. We won’t win BPL title ever after this

Keep Ole, but we need so many more players it's a joke that it won't be 6.

Sorry to say it but i think English fans in general became very stupid. You turn on one of the greatest managers of all time, defending spoiled and overrated players instead and now you turn on Olé, an inexperient manager who had literally no say on the transfers yet.

Pay for a plane with a banner to get Woodward out now and it will be late already. How did you think this season would turn when the cnut publicly went against the manager in August as if the team was perfectly enough for top4?

We literally let him break the world transfer record, we did back him. Stop this revisionist nonsense. He was a terrible manager for us towards the end. The signs were there when he completely collapsed at Chelsea in his third season.
It's literally crazy. He signed these guys! But apparently his attitude was acceptable because we didn't sign Harry Maguire for 70m or whatever it was.

We've lost something like six games since the start of March and we're getting absolutely horsed by an Everton side that lost to Fulham last week. If he can turn things around before the end of the season then I'm all for him staying on and doing what he can to improve us, but it's fairly clear there are some glaring problems emerging and if we want to heap praise on him for when he does well, we need to be willing to give him flak when he isn't doing so well.

Olly has a huge job in front of him, we went from excelling to mediocrity within weeks of him coming in. That has to be the players and the way they are reacting to criticism from the manager. They all deserve it and need to watch games back to see how and why they are being outworked in the last six matches.
I want him to stay and want to see his project unfold as he will make signings and use the youth as we always have done, he is not going to get the time and I see him being sacked next season.

I have not seen any news of any close recruitment for a DOF so not sure if this will happen. What is happening now to the club is well out of our hands and any boycott or protest will backfire on the manager and not Woodward. This is us now and how it is going to be for a long while, it hurts me as I have supported the club since I was a baby growing up around Stretford and hanging around near the ground listening for the cheers and celebrating myself. We need to suck it up and it is going to really hard to see our rivals tasking things to the next level.
who knows what the future holds, just hope nobody turns against Olly and he gets a good spell in charge.

Nobody will be allowed to sell all the crap, the club is run to make money for the owners. They mainly want to invest in marquee signing that can sell shirts and they can include on the adverts for the various commercial deals. The Glazers just want to keep the club ticking over in to the top four without having to seriously invest. This is the reason Ole was given the job in the first place - they thought they could get away with minimal investment in the summer.

Aye, we backed Mourinho to the hilt. The creeping revisionism that our previous managers weren't responsible for their own failures is baffling. It's possible for our issues to both stem from board level and from the managers as well.

Often? Not at all. He's been hugely inconsistent since he arrived and has barely come close to justifying his extortionate price tag.

Exactly. It's like having one of us out there, but giving them tons and tons of tactical information and instructions. No tactics can save the situation, when players just don't care. They don't.

About the appointment, I didn't mind they pulled the trigger. We finally have a manager who'd try his utmost best to put the club in the right path. He might not be able to take us back to the top, but I am certain he'll set us up good for the future.

He’s a quality player yes, the problem is that it’s always on his own terms. Turns up when he feels like it and for a club in a position like ours, we really can’t afford that.

It's a start and something that has to be done. Of course we need an improved structure, but a DOF is hardly the answer. That's just somebody else being the guy to target players instead of the manager. What difference does that make? We need to fut the players that dont belong here. The players who see us as a pay day or are here to feck around and make headlines but not give 100% every single day. Those that arent good enough. Spending money is absolutely the answer at this point because we really do need to replace like half of them. That's the only way the mentality will change, the expectations will change, the professionalism will change, and who knows, maybe we'll be able to string 3 passes against Everton then.

Ole's got his own way of how he wants to play but he's using players from 4 previous managers and hasn't made one signing. If as anticipated we me make major changes in the summer then i'd hope for a solid top four challenge next season then in about another 2 years hopefully talk about a title push.

He was brilliant after Ole arrived for a fairly lengthy period of time to the point where people were calling him one of the best midfielders in the world. The hype was getting over the top but it's fairly clear he's a very good player who can do incredibly well when utilised correctly.

What's basically happened is that Pogba, De Gea and Herrera have downed tools until they get paid 3 times more than they are worth. All 3 can feck off somewhere else tbh. Imagine Roy Keane or Gary Neville downing tools until they got a monster salary increase?

This is not Ole's fault. It's what happens when you bring the wrong types of managers in. Ole deserves to rebuild bringing in players that hopefully have the winning DNA, and not just divas who will flirt with whoever is offering more.
