What would be an acceptable offer for Pogba?

I don't think Madrid will be offering a lot comparitivly and 130 mill will be our opening target . Think they will come in around 110 and it will end up somewhere inbetween if it's money only. Can see bale and 20 mill or something like that being offered as well

£120 million with maybe Bale thrown in on a loan deal with option to buy.

They need to keep the deal on the hush hush until we have completed our signings. That should be our main clause. Not only for the money but it will be harder to sign someone if we are both out of champs league and sold our best player
This is pretty imperative. Hopefully we are actually far down the line with the players we want to recruit. Which would represent something of a change in direction.

If we take Bale instead of cash I will be so angry. Bale was a top notch player but his body has broken down. It goes against everything we need which is youth and defense.

You could say he was, but he’s turned to shit again. Right back to his Jose days. IMO, I think that says he’s part of the problem, and not just a victim of the problem.
You could say he was? Equivocating much? Don't you find it coincidental that right as soon as we turned into a counter attacking side under Ole he went to shiit again?

Bale has been a fantastic player, not sure we were ever in for him in a serious way, but he did not appear to want to come to United if we were.

I have not run any statistics, but my impression is too many injuries, and that will only increase with age, he will be 30 in July, not old but many players only have a year or two after that,
especially when injuries have taken the toll on the body over the years.

Pretty sure he enjoyed his time in Spain, but don't feel its a good move for us, prefer younger and less injury prone.

I am sure in the next year or two we will see great moments from him somewhere, mixed in with increasing amounts of time missing due to injury.

Good luck Bale, but don't see him as somebody for the future.

No. Doesn’t matter what the system is, there’s no excuses for not trying. None. Ever.
And how is he exactly not trying? He's creating chances in every game he's playing but he can't convert those chances instead of our strikers and he's amongst the people that run the most.

You really should have checked all the facts before you proceeded with petty gloating.

Wow, dude. You need to relax. How you took a silly joke so personally is just weird.

Fergie is the biggest winner in all of this. As the media adored bashing him for letting a player leave for nothing, who then cost us £90 million to bring back. He'll no longer be attacked with that stick.

I think £120 million is what we might get. Will start at £130 million and bring it down. When you consider his marketing value, this might inflate his price more that his footballing value would be worth.

He is a world cup winner who destroyed Serie A when playing there, he's on a par footballing wise with Neymar, so Ed will use all of this to drive a hard bargain.

I personally don't believe all the bad press against Pogba. If he were so bad, why does Ole keep playing him?

By no means has he been his best today, however, he's worked hard and tracked back and gone forward Definitely put the miles in today

FML, lay off the crack pipe lad!
I guess you're another one of those fans who comes on here saying he's the best midfielder in the world when he puts on a show, then slates him as nothing but hype after a bad performance.
He currently looks rubbish, doesn't look interested, acting an ass but. . So does every other player in our team who looked amazing at previous clubs - Alexis, Lukaku etc

Ahh the good ol' backpedaling and downplaying something when it backfires…
No, mate. You’ve over reacted and I’m not getting into some daft argument about Pogba. He’s shit, you don’t think so. Everything else has already been said to death. You wanna repeat it all, you go find someone else. But I’d suggest in the future not reacting to a different opinion like it a personal insult. It’s just silly.

Still our best player, but at the moment 120m is more use to us than keeping him.

Let him go and please use the money wisely.

Pogba on the same level as Neymar :lol::lol:

Someone must have confused Neymar being injured with being inconsistent. Neymar scores almost a goal a game and averages an assist every other game. He's far better than Pogba and does not have consistency problems.

But which one is it? We're you joking or he's shiit? I mean not much of a joke when you're hell bent in your opinion that he's shiit even though he's been our most influential player under Ole. Just proves you're just hiding behind "joke" excuse when your agenda is clear to see.

If we get anything above £120m for Pogba it would be fantastic business, his current value is no more than we paid for him if not less. Surprised a lot of people saying how stupid it would be to sell our best player......what an earth has he done bar three months in three seasons with any consistency to warrant building the side around him and that he is a world class player worth anywhere near that fee?
What is important is spending the money well. I have tired of Pogba personally, all the press, agent talk, flirting with other clubs, piss poor performances 30% of the time, average ones 50% of the time and really good ones barely 20%, that isnt a world class player. The top players put in top performances 60-70% of the time, talent alone doesnt make you a world class player, for me my mind is made up that he just isnt world class at all, its a myth and £120m we should be laughing

£120m+ and 1 or 2 of their best youth players in return for Pogba as a cost for them poaching our best player while we are in a state of turmoil. With the future inflation in the market and Pogba's marketability, anything less than £180m will look like a steal if he maintains his world class status or gets even better :houllier:

I think £70m and either Isco or Casemiro would be a great bit of business from our point of view. If we got both of them for Pogba that would be phenomenal.

In my view when we sold Ronaldo we should have similarly included Robben and/or Sneijder.

Such a frustrating player. When he’s firing on all cylinders he’s the best midfielder in the world. When he’s playing like he is at the moment he’s a complete liability and has the attitude to go with it. He needs to be in a functioning team to truly shine, and that ain’t us. 140mil would do it.
