Why do I feel like City players feel more pressure than Liverpool at the moment ? The manner of last City wins make me fear they're going to explode from pressure on them in any game.

Var wouldnt have helped there anyway. Freekicks at those positions arent looked at by the var. Only goals and red card moments. They look at game defining moments and a free kick somewhere near the sideline isnt a game defining movement for the var.
A bit weird because this referee (linesman mostly) falling for Fabinho his dive gives Liverpool the chance to win the game and so it does define the score and maybe even affect the outcome of the league.
