Apart from Ronaldo's goal, Portugal's midfield and defence are woeful. Shaqiri and Seferovic are having a field day. Bernardo should be dropped into the midfield while Bruno takes over as the no 10. One of Carvalho and Neves should be off for Moutinho to provide more mobility in the midfield. They can't even get the ball forward because Neves and Carvalho are immobile and Bruno is a no 10. Ronaldo still their best player.

157th cap. Think I heard them say he's scored over 700 goals now for club and country. A freak of nature.
He was outstanding when he played for United and I said at the time of his transfer to RM that even at 80 million it was cheap.
I admire his desire to keep on improving and it will be a sad day for football when he eventually retires.

Just looks like they are scrapping Shape to accommodate getting their best players on together. This could be a right team if they get it sorted

We sold him for pocket change. It's one of the worst deals we've ever made. Compounding the misery, we decided there was no value in the market and bought journey men.

The whole team are playing out of position. Felix looks lost on the right too. Square pegs in round holes
Now this I agree with, Felix looks so lightweight it's untrue. Maybe Porto were right...

Their midfield and full backs have struggled against the Swiss, and they're leaving the central defence with too much to do. Pepe and Dias haven't been that bad, but the Portuguese full backs and midfielders are making it too easy for the Swiss to advance forward. They need to either take Ruben Neves or Bruno Fernandes off and introduce Joao Moutinho. Guerreiro also needs to get off for a more defensively secure left back, or they'll need someone other than William on the left side of the midfield.

Can someone tell me how j. Felix is a 100 million pound player again? I wouldn't pay 40million for him. Really.
Hasn't had a sniff all game.
And no, Its not just because of this game.

Typical Félix dive. He'd get a pen and lauded as hero if it was for Benfica.

Typical Felix that. Tries to sell the penalty instead of scoring.

With a Benfica shirt on it would have been the right move

I watch for Felix, Bruno and Dias.. and just end up admiring Ronaldo.

I'm sure Bruno and Felix have a lot more in them that that one half suggests, so I won't judge.

Completely agree. I could spend hours saying what a fantastic player he was and still is.
I especially like his heading ability.
We were blessed to have him for a few years.
Terrific pass a few minutes ago to Bernardo Silva.

Mbabu us moving to wolfsburg isnt it for 7 mil?
Thought 10mil? Something about that.

Wolfsburg will have a great fullback pair with Mbabu and Rousillon, last one was one of the best in the Bundesliga this season.

He is out of position. I hope this ends the narrative or idea that he can play out wide.

Ok got it.

I'll just enjoy Ronnie. Leave the scouting for others on here:)

Did I hear that right? Looming rule changes that won't allow attackers in the wall? What's the definition of attacker then?
