A lot of people in Bernabéu, and still 2 hours for the presentation. I wonder if he will get more people than Cris
Been to Madrid just the once, great city. Looking at this really makes me envious compared to the mad place I'm resident. That said, Barcelona is fantastic, too. It's no wonder both clubs get the pick. My point? feck knows.

Am I the only who thinks this rebuild is going to be a massive flop? I don't think Zidane is the right man for the job.
I dont think they've done anywhere near enough to top Barca next season. They might make it a little more competitive but I dont see them winning La Liga or the UCL

Reals fans will be happy only if they get Mbappe and Pogba this summer. :D

------Jovic-----------------Mbappe-------
-----------------Hazard--------------------
-----Kroos-------------------Pogba--------
----------------Casemiro-------------------
Mendy---Ramos------Varane----Carvajal
----------------Courtois--------------------
Finally someone with a decent line up :D

Who is this Kubo lad? The Japanese Messi apparently
From MARCA:

This is hilaroius. It basically means PSG and Barcelona thought Kubo would end his contract on January the 31st in 2020, same information that appears in TransferMarkt. Apparently Real Madrid knew his contract had actually finished last 1st of June, so they approached him directly without talking with his club.

Not sure I buy that. Players have agents that shop their players around. I also have a hard time seeing Tokyo letting a prized player run out his contract like that.

Yes it's true. It's hilarious that some clubs use Transkermarket to determine how long the contracts last.

One thing i will question is, who will bring the mentality? Ronaldo is gone, Ramos and Macelo are still there, but not as hungry as they used to be. Hazard? Jovic? Pogba? I have my doubts. Nice players but no leaders.

You have problems coming up with a fair offer for Pogba, how in the world would you buy Mbappe? They don't want to sell, they have more money than you, he already cost huge money, he'd probably not leave for less than 250m.
We've signed Hazard + substitutes.
We have been talking about the lack of goal all season and have signed a 21-year-old from Eintracht.
I do not mean to belittle him, and I am very happy with the signing but I think it is better not to fool ourselves.
For Pogba I would pay 130/140, no more, if It´s not enough he can stay another year, or go to Juventus.
The only player I'm excited about is Mbappé.

I already know all the difficulties, and I imagine that I sound like a spoiled and deluded fan, but I would lie if I said otherwise.
Without him we are still far away from Barcelona and competing again for the Champions.

Yeah, I don't really see your need for Pogba or how you'd fit him in. But wanting Mbappe is understandable. You are spoilt though, no question. I doubt there is a more spoilt fanbase on the planet. Now that I've thought about it for 2 seconds, I realise there isn't :D

I'm still not sure you have the money to buy Mbappe, not that they'd sell him. I don't think you can use your dirty tricks to lower his fee. Hopefully not for Pogba either.

Pogba depends on several factors, beginning with his salary.
It has to be placed just like Hazard and below Ramos.
Then, it depends on Zidane's insistence. Zidane wanted Hazard and he has Hazard, he wanted Mendy and he has Mendy (when the club was about to sign Firpo).
However, he has had to accept the sale of Navas against his will, so it is difficult to know his level of obsession.
As I said in another thread, I do not think it's positive to sign him for 180/200 million. That will lead inevitably to disappointment and whistles.
About money, I honestly do not think it's a problem. The important thing is that they agree to sell him, since it is repeated that Florentino will never act or use those dirty tricks against PSG.

Mendy is definitely not a substitute, unless you want to endure another season of Marcelo.
He got fit!, look at the abs in his photo on Instagram! :D
I can not imagine Marcelo sitting on the bench more than two consecutive games.
And the same with Militao and Varane.

Like pretty much every madridista that was on Hazard presentation.

But yeah, it would be huge to land him and everyone would go crazy over him. I think it's very possible to happen if Mbappé wants to join he eventually would end up here, maybe not this summer but he will.

Mbappe grew up supporting Real Madrid and idolising Ronaldo in the early 10s. I was on his Instagram page when he was around 17 at Monaco before he became a superstar and he had a lot of Real Madrid dedicated posts (which have since been deleted). I think he’ll definitely end up there next.

IMO it's to late for Neymar to be "available" to sign for Madrid. I can see Madrid signing Mbappe next summer.

Marcelo is a talented guy. Actually he's one of the most talented bastards in the history of the game :D

If Mendy comes he cannot be guaranteed to be a definite starter. He's not Mbappe, Pogba or Hazard who would be starters 100% granted. He's more like a Danilo type of player. Danilo came and he fought with Carvajal for a position. With Mendy it will be the same.

Same applies to Jovic who will compete with Benzema.

That’s how you rebuild. Get Zidane back at all costs. Spend a feck tonne on great players.

Nah, you just need a manager who "gets the club" and the players who plays with "passhun" and will "work hard". That's what I read on here.
Who needs De Gea and Pogba when you can have Rashy and JLingz?

Should we not wait until we see how they fare? Even then the only great player is Hazard and I don't even think he is what they need.

Indeed there is probably a vague outline of the deal already for 2022~, once his current contract runs down.

Chances of Mbappe going to Real Madrid after PSG 99.9% IMO.

I think they’ll do relatively well. They’re never going to replace Ronaldo as he’s genuine GOAT tier but the players they’ve signed all seem like very good signings and they’ll probably get Pogba.

Also, not to mention that they are ruthless in cutting players loose whilst we’re offering extensions to Jones and Young.

Their squad is full of players they can't shift? Must be 1m a week on wages for those unwanted alone.

I thought £44.5m was a fair estimation on Bale to be honest. Yes he's struggling but when players like Perisic are touted at £60m and Pepe at £70m. I'd say given his struggles £45m for Bale is fair price and a gamble that could well pay off for a club willing to take a punt.
Not if you add his wages to the fee. He's turning 30 next month, injury prone and on ridiculous wages. His contract with Madrid is up in 2022 so he can just refuse to leave unless he goes to club he wants and gets the salary he's ok with. Plus, given his age, he'll have no resale value.

Bale is a huge risk in terms of investment, even for a wealthy club. Plus, everyone knows Madrid are desperate to get rid of him so that weakens their bargaining position.

Ferland Mendy is currently being unveiled at the Bernabéu, RM's 5th Summer signing and they're not even nearly finished.

What. The Feck. Are. We. Doing.

:( I don't expect a rebuild of this magnitude, we were never going to do that, but can we please do something, soon

Bale’s agent has apparently ruled out a loan - which I think is his most realistic way out of Madrid.

The parallels to Sanchez are similar - Utd would bite anyone’s hand off if they took Sanchez on a free transfer, and I think that’s what Real will have to do.

If Bale goes anywhere (he may accept a lower wage, but it will still be massive) he will want a minimum of a 3 year contract. Even without a transfer fee, it’s a massive investment. I’m not sure Real could give him away for free this summer.

Now they're selling average squad players for great prices. €40m for Llorente?

They are reliable, now their main Madrid reporter is Hermel, as you probably know Hermel is close to Madrid higher ups and in particular Perez.

The CAF doesn’t rate Madrid’s youth setup, but it produces lots of quality players (no world class ones since Casillas). They’re a solid source of income for Madrid every year.

De Ligt is nonsense.

They spent 50m on a CB in Militao, and still have Varane and Ramos.
