Yes they was, that's where I read it.:wenger:
They're collating what other news outlets are reporting. What aren't you getting? This is why several people have corrected you.

We should haggle the fee down to £45-50m id possible and i think this could be a steal.

One person pointed out the source, of which i agreed (obviously because that was the source of the sky sports report). No one corrected it because it wasn't incorrect. I didn't realise you wanted in depth sourcing on a transfer rumour thread with a one line comment about a possible signing. No need to be a pedant just get over it.

It is no more of a report than retweeting a tweet, posting about it on a forum or considering Google search results as a report. I was merely pointing out to you that saying 'Sky is reporting it,' is misleading for people reading it. When in actuality, it's a round up of a bullshit report from several hours ago. This is why you don't see dozens of posts about BBC or The Guardian reporting details agreed off the back of their Rumour Mill pages. Most posters understand when this is pointed out to them, and they don't respond like they've got a stick up their arse.

Honestly reckon there’s nothing going on here. It’s being pushed and pushed by Portuguese media for clicks. Same as Gaitan.

Feels like a Mkhitaryan influence type of player. Good if he's got at all day, press / reserve spaces and his weak frame is exposed. I'd take Maddison over him.

English journos are notorious for not really knowing what’s going on regarding some foreign targets. Herrera was the best example.

Yeah this isn't happening.

It's being pounded daily by portuges press and nothing from any decent outlets elsewhere (other than negatively).

It's Gaitan 2.0. No need to invest (emotionally) anything in this for now.

They’ve just been trying to push him for 70m euros and we’re not budging. Ed’s playing a blinder on this one, I think. Still think he’s coming.

Does anyone know if this guy is an Engine? I feel we need those types of players next to pogba. Also would be nice if anyone has stats on his average miles per game. Any useful sites with this sort of info also?

If this isn't happening, who do you think we are after, and please nobody tell me bloody Longstaff. I mean an actual player who will improve the first team immediately as we are still down Herrera and Pogba wants out. Tielemans looks like he is signing for Leicester now also.

I think this transfer hinges on the Pogba one. If Pogba stays then cannot see us signing Fernandes. Also I feel Ole would have prioritized signing a defender than Fernandes. I cannot see this happening anytime soon because if we were interested in him then we would have signed him by now.

I tell you what, if we have allowed Ndombele to sign for Spurs when we had no intention of signing Bruno Fernades, because we are only signing British players I'll be livid..!

That is a weird thing to be livid about. As long as the british players either have potential or the ability to make us a better team straight away I don't see anything wrong with it.

Getting this guy in is probably a good move.
If Pogba decides to put in even less effort next year (on the back of not getting his wish to be sold) we need an alternative option -we didn't have one this season !
Not signing another option would be pretty stupid .... so expect us to sit on our hands..

I don't think he is the player we need tbh so I'm not too bothered. Strong athletic break up play and pressing midfielders are more important currently.

Just bumped into Bruno at Manchester airport. We had a coffee, had a chat and he gave me the thought that his head has done a 560 turn in United favour. He also said he hates Liverpool! Give the man 500k a week!

Funny this.He has a buyout clause of 35 million euro which we presumedly offered (31 million pounds). The club then has to pay him 5million but won't sell him for the buy out clause. They want nearly double this. Cannot understand it.

€35m is not his buy out clause, his buy out clause is apparently €100m
The confusion is that he does have a weird clause that if Sporting reject an offer of €35m, then Fernandes has to be compensated €5m

Sporting need to cash in on the player, and suitors feel that they can negotiate a deal way below his release clause, €50m has been touted.

Sporting reportedly want between €70m-€80m, whilst we're only willing to pay closer to €50m. I reckon he may eventually go for €50m rising to €60m with add ons.

Ole wants deal done this week.
Hasn't the director of SCP admitted they've not received a single offer for him yet? This transfer has absolutely zero legs to it, just like the de Ligt (for us anyway) one. I'm that confident this wont happen, I'll buy a Liverpool season ticket and attend every game next season if we do sign him this week.

He'll end up going to a Sevilla or Valencia type club for £20-£40m sometime late August, or he'll end up at Sporting Club de Wolves.

I tend to agree with you now.
I think that Longstaff is the definite priority, and I have the feeling that signing will wrap up our summer activity unless we can land Maguire.

If we are only bringing Longstaff in for midfield then we are in big trouble.

James and Longstaff are years away (if ever) from being good enough to start for a club of United’s side. If Wan Bissaka is our only addition to the first 11 we will struggle to finish in the top 5.

We need to improve our first 11 with quality not prospects. Shambles of a window if true.

Maybe there will be some legs to this Olmo runour which came out last night. This could be why Castles is reporting no bid for Bruno so far
