Will be difficult to get him if he has six offers and is as talented as some people here suggest. Fingers crossed.

I don't think we'd sign either if we signed Olmo. Olmo i've only read about and he seems to be a AM/#10, similar to Bruno and Maddison and would cost considerably less.
True. Or is it a ploy to Leicester/Sporting to say we are interested in other players?

But this Olmo kid does look good.

I think if it was a ploy, it would be from the agent to get his client the best deal by using United.

Looks far more of a ball player to me than Bruno Fernandes. Imo, that's more important than 32 goals from Bruno. We need midfielders that can hold the ball under pressure. We almost can't play football at a basic level.

We also need a goalscoring midfielder too though. Can't rely purely on our forwards.

I think Fernandes was a stand by if Pogba was leaving, but I think he will stay at least a year.

Reckoning he'll be the 2nd midfielder we sign with Longstaff if we sign Maguire for big money that cancels out Bruno/Maddison who would also cost big money
Hope he's as talented as you all suggest and not another false dawn.

So true!

I have a close Croatian Dinamo fan friend and he says, this kid is better at his age than Modric ever was ...

Don't know much about him but my mate says he would take him in a heartbeat, and he is good judge.

Very good. We have only Pogba and Mata who are comfortable on the ball. From what I've seen of Bruno, he just wants to get rid quickly.

Olmo seems like he can take the ball under pressure and also keep it moving out of tight areas

I think if we add Olmo and Longstaff to the midfield, we'll control games and pin teams back potentially due to the technical upgrade in the team. In Longstaff's case he will provide everything Matic does with added mobility. The more control we have in midfield would also enable the fullbacks to stay high.

Olmo looks a crafty player with high creativity and very good passing/vision. Adding a player like him next to Pogba would see the team add even more goals due to the chances they'd create in open play in comparison to Bruno Fernandes IMO.

Looks good to me. Hagi looked good in the tournament as well. Great technique.

Definitely looks to play in midfield, played winger at the U21 euros though so maybe that’s why

Has there been another source backing this up? Don't think one source is enough for me to get invested in this transfer. The guy looks a good player btw

They describe him as a Spanish winger but most posters here are saying he’s a number 10. So which is it?
Attacking midfielder capable of covering multiple positions. He played as AM for Dinamo, rarely as a winger and in EL played mostly as CM in three man midfield. He can cover both wings as well which he's been doing for national team, but he works best through midfield.

Best type of signing in our situation. Buy him now, so even if Pogba does stay and he does play back up to him, there wouldnt be too much complaining. Versatile enough to play with him, and instant replacement if he does leave

Anyone know what his defensive contribution is like? Can he control a tempo and slow it down and just move the ball about or is he purely get ball to him and watch him dance past 3 or 4 then fire off a pass?
It’s just I’m wondering if maybe Ole does fancy a 442 diamond and could he play on the right of the diamond.

This sounds like BS. Would be very excited if we did sign him.

He's one of those typical little attacking midfielders Barca produce who have a low centre of gravity, are good dribblers and passers. He can play across the attacking midfield line and has good pace as well. He'd probably suit the pressing system ole wants to play as well since he's a Barcelona youth product. It's pretty fundamental there.

I’d take a money + Ceballos deal for Pogba from Madrid.

And with Pogba’s money, I’d get Fabian Ruiz and Olmo.

Then add Longstaff to stand in front of our back 4.

De Gea will have 3 new amigos, and sign an extension ;)

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
Never seen him play live but just watching his YouTube highlights and he seems another Lo Celso type player. A hell of a lot of dribbling but not much end product, mostly gets fouled after holding the ball too long (in the clips I've seen). Had anybody seen him play regularly that can say how accurate this is?

@Adisa said we need "ballers" and not end product, effectively, but i don't entirely agree with that. I'd like to see goals and assists added to the team and not just one player that will try to evade every challenge until eventually he's fouled, which i fear is what this could be.

Don't get me wrong he looks a talented player but he doesn't seem to have a "killer instinct", so to speak. If we want quick attacks then we need to build a proper midfield now instead of add more players that see it as a challenge as to how long they can hold the ball, like Pogba seems to do.
