His talk with Sarri is gonna be one of the shortest talks ever.
I’d imagine it goes something like this...

Dybala: Hey boss am I in your plans for next season?

Sarri: :lol::lol: seriously get out of my office.

I have to hand it to Woodward this time. He claimed we can do things in the transfer market that other clubs can only dream about.

Swapping Lukaku for Dybala certainly is something other clubs could only dream about.

The impression I got was he was aloof to the point of rudeness but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that his English isn't great and he dislikes production process.
You know how Dybala’s English is?

Dybala is Kagawa 2.0

He can't play RW, he's really slow, he can't play striker, he's really small, he can't play midfield, he can't defend

He's an elite player and I get why he's exciting for the club and fans but seriously, he will do nowhere near as good for us as he has for Juve, look at how poorly he performed last year when the entire team wasn't set up in his favor.

Pogba, Martial, Alexis, Rashford AND Dybala all running around like headless chickens in each others' way in the centre of the pitch? No thanks.

We literally never learn. Buy someone who can play wide right ffs.

I thought he was having the meeting yesterday?

Surely in order for his agent and Juve to be having talks he must at least be open to joining us? Surely they wouldn't have been so public if all this was being done without his permissive as it wont look great to him if he is actually in Juve's plans. Maybe I'm naive!

Most of the time there's so much smoke without any actual fire... for once I do believe there's a fire somewhere. Let's hope we somehow can put it out and celebrate with zippers down and some lube

Or Dybala steps into his office and Sarri just says: don't sit down, I don't need you, bye.

Seems a really weird transfer this, I can't help think it won't come off.

Why send your agent to negotiate a wage before you've talked to your manager and found out what his plans are for you?

Why send your agent to negotiate if you haven't given the green light?

It makes no sense at all.

The agent was likely getting the groundwork done on wages to be offered etc. Dybala can't really say yes or no before knowing what he's moving into with Man Utd. It cloud be the agent was there to formalise the offer to be pitched for Dybala

This conversation could have happened over the phone or on FaceTime really?

I don't quite understand what's going on here

It does all seem to be the wrong way round if it’s how the media are saying it is. But maybe it’s being done in this way as it’s the quickest way of finding a solution?

No idea, but maybe he's heard it from his agent, then given his agent the go ahead to negotiate a deal, but wants to hear it from the manager face to face before agreeing to go?
Maybe he has given the go ahead to move, but the sticking point is going to be wages? We really don't know

Sky Sports: Sky Sports understands that Sarri has said yes to Dybala staying or going with him keen to keep him or let him go with an exchange deal for Lukaku definitely not impossible but certainly not definite.

People like face to face meetings. There's not much to understand. I'd prefer to hear something so massive to my career to my face, not over the phone.

But surely he gave a yes to speak with with united about wages? That in itself says he's open to coming here. Why waste everyone's time otherwise. Why would his agent spend time away from sorting out potential other deals for clients just to have something on the table should his client says yes? Makes no sense

Something different from the Dybala talk:

A strike partnership of Lukaku and Ronaldo would be a nightmare to defend against. Jose is somewhere in the world jizzing his pants.

Dybala in the 10 is an incredible prospect, I wouldn't be too worried if we miss out on Bruno in that case.

I've been fully sucked in now.

I have reservations and I agree we should be targeting a proper right-winger. But he’s really not that slow or small. He’s not lighting fast, but he’s pacy enough, and he can hold the ball up surprisingly well.

To me this feel like Ed getting giddy with excitement like he did back in 2014 when he went and signed Di Maria and Falco and goes in line with his classic 'Adult Disneyland' anecdote

I hoped he'd learnt but alas not. Like you I hope obviously I'm proven dead wrong
Thing is though, Ed isn't the only one who hasn't learned, just look at this place. You'd think after getting burnt several time with the latest Sanchez debacle being somehow not so far away, people wouldn't be quick and get giddy over any sudden interest in these "top" players that may or may not fit our system.

Dybala as a player himself flopped last season, has been deemed surplus to requirement and 2 managers don't want him to the point Juventus are wiling to trade him for another somehow reject. And reading people's posts one get the sense most people don't have much idea what sort of player Dybala is.

We've basically gone through similar scenarios in DiMaria and Sanchez that led to catastrophe yet people are still going to bury their heads in the sand and write long essay to try convincing themselves why this time will be any different to previous bombs. What truly funny is that if Dybala turns out to be dud here the same people would be quick opening threads urging us to recruit according to what we need and not just by names but the next time if there is another high profile player on the market in similar circumstances like Dybala, Sanchez, Di Maria etc, they'll be quick again to jump on the hype an write long essays as to why we should bring them.

He probably provided consent for his agent to sound out offers for him if it looks Juve are pushing him out. That's my guess, very presumptions though.

I still think all this will end up with nothing. Juventus using United to get Dybala to accept a lower rank at the club. Showing their muscles saying we will sell you if you dont accept
