As predicted by yours truly.
I don't believe this. Unless PSG sell Neymar to Barca they won't fit in Neymar, Cavani, Mbappe and Dybala.

PSG are also tight on FFP. It feels like them filling paper columns until the deal moves forward.

Looks like a Rooney type player -- drifting everywhere but maybe not technically as good as Rooney. My question is whether he will slow down our attack?
Oh, he is technically good as Rooney, just doesn't have that aggression of his (he does like to drift around like him though, good point). As for the bolded part, no. He played under Allegri where they played in a bit of a slower pace at times, but absolutely no reason for that.
In theory (but that is just a theory and my opinion) it should be faster. Having someone to open the space for Rashford, Martial, James, Greenwood, if he develops properly (and yeah, even Lingard), should benefit them. All that while being a massive threat on his own with other attackers pulling the defenders with their runs.

The worry is that we haven't really used any of our signing to their potential and been burnt in the past. But, that is on Ole to solve if he comes. Technically he is the type of player we should look to add to this team imo.

We'll probably have Lukaku at this rate. No sale to Inter, no time to buy someone like Ben Yedder.

We're trying to shop at Harrods again like with De Ligt, it's a huge step down for him in terms of playing CL football. Great if we can pull this off but it's like a 30-40% chance.

He can see what comes in from around Europe after the PL window shuts in a few days and even stay at Juve and move next summer to a club guaranteed CL football if he's still not in their plans.

For those that think he's being forced on Ole.
Speaking to Norwegian podcast Fotballklubben about United’s scouting network, Solskjaer explained: ‘We have scouts looking… but if you say that we need a false nine, then we don’t need to scout Lionel Messi or Dybala.

‘You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to say that, “We’ll take him!”‘

Surely we can’t be getting BOTH Dybala and Mandzukic for Lukaku ? Getting an alternative to Rashford up top AND a quality 10 for a player we don’t want and doesn’t work in our preferred style is simply a dream, if we were to get Maguire and a defensive midfielder before the window closed I’d say this has been almost (still need a right sided forward) a perfect window.
Dybala has played right sided forward. Got a feeling that is where he will play, if he was to join. His best position is a false 9 but will Ole change it when we’ve pretty much played 4-2-3-1 throughout pre-season and the team have done really well in that formation.

Idk, maybe right in Lingard’s spot in the 4231?

...pretty complex, I know...
He played from the right last season and had probably the worst season in his career  Knowing us though we will play him there.

And this was in March. So he's been an admirer for a while.

Jonas has many decent opinions, especially on Man Utd, but disagree a lot here.

Dybala is at the right age and nearing his prime, can play centrally and wide right, is a genuine world class talent, a player the manager wants and will show some strength from our club that we actually want to come out of our mediocrity. Maguire is also coming and maybe one more midfielder. If this happens it will be the best transfer window I can remember.

wickla!
One thing he might be right about though. Lingard is gash but his pressing is pretty decent. What's Dybaka's like?
From when I have seen him he is not as energetic with out the ball . But with the ball his a player . A real player that can create and score he is way better than anything we have at the moment that is ready for the first team.

Ok,

so I’ll be taking that as you don’t know where Lingard plays in the 4231

Given that Pogba is staying and we're going to be playing a high press next season this is a pretty terrible 'hot take'.
Yep. I don't expect people to watch us in pre season, but he's talking with absolute confidence about something he has no idea about.

Also, the narrative that he’s being shown his coat at Juve is eerily similar to the Di Maria situation at Madrid. Ultimately we need players who desperately want to come here, not ones who are getting pushed out and choose United just for the money.

I see what you're saying but isn't he someone who can slow things down in the sense he likes to take a few touches. Similar to Pogba in a way, not releasing the ball fast enough. And with Matic, Pogba, Dybala in the side are we going to be too slow with the ball?

Bit of hope with Brighton almost signing their CB, if Dunk to Leicester starts moving then it frees up Maguire to come and sort out shit out. Interesting couple of days now for all involved to pass their medicals etc.

We seem to be trying an Arsenal-lite attack. Maybe that would work?

As long as Ole gets the chance to speak with Dybala and ‘look him in the eye’ before completing this signing, I will be happy.
