Where does that leave Lukaku
We'll sell him to Inter is my guess. Get maybe Bruno and Mandzukic. That's the bare minimum we have to do. Shame a that. Was ready looking forward to Dybala but what can you do when he doesn't want to join.

We have a lot of time to sell our players. Our transfer window might be ending soon, but Italy have all the time they want.

I'd rather we moved on to replacing Herrera because we won't finish in the top four with the midfield we currently have.
We have a lot of time to sell, but barely any time to buy. No way are we selling Lukaku without getting in a replacement

3 possibilities:

1) we’re pissed off that he’s hesitant and we’ve actually pulled the plug.
2) we’re trying to save face by pulling out before being publicly rejected.
3) we’re trying to put pressure on to get the deal done quickly.

I think it's been plainly obvious from the off that he's being pushed rather than wanting it. Definitely something new don't need even if the transfer muppets wouldn't care. You don't sign players who don't want to be at your club really. It rarely works out well.
Yeah he's a quality player but I'd rather not. If he does not want to be here, we shouldnt go for him.

Under soil heating.
In the space of 4 hours Liverpool are winning the league again and we aren’t signing top players.

Reality restored. Or something.

I don't think not having another striker will effect us as much as not having in another midfielder. Also, reports say that Mandzukic's sale is independent of Lukaku coming in. Our CF options are Rashford, Martial, Greenwood and Sanchez. We can make do with that.

If Pogba is injured or sold, we'll have to select at least three players from McT, Matic, Fred, Pereira and Mata. I am convinced that Leicester, Wolves and even Everton have comfortably better quality than those names. McTominay might prove to be a revelation, but the others are simply poor. We need Bruno, SMS or Longstaff.

What a relief!! Everything about this deal was cagey. People desperate to swap him for Lukaku - a proven PL consistent performer. The hate towards Dybala, as he stands with his hands on his hips in the middle of the pitch, as we're getting thrashed away to Sheffield Utd, would have surpassed Di Maria/Fellaini levels.

David Brooks a much better bet if he's available for the right money.

Feels like the club have got their act together. Don’t sign players who don’t want to be here other than for the money.

Did Inter not improve their cash offer for Lukaku? He can still be sold.

We should step up our chase for Bruno now.

Dybala can rot at Juve. Chief.

We would still need a versatile attacking option if Lukaku leaves - there don't seem to be many around.

Mandzukic would be a short term fix. Hope this will spur the Bruno deal to be closed.

Antonio #Conte : "It seemed first made for Lukaku at Inter, then everything was done with Juventus ... the reality is that as long as you don't have the agreement with the player and between clubs, until you sign, nothing is decided. We'll see, I don't know what it will happen; the company is working on the market

What does that last sentence mean?

Does it though?

We knew early on he was desperate to stay at Juve. We’ve been fannying about for near enough a week with nothing to show for it. I have no doubt that we were prepared to offer a ridiculous salary but he’s snubbed us and now we’re trying to save face.

Pathetic
