Feck me, the league starts in 5 days. This is the prime section of the season, along with the Christmas period.

If we don't sign a midfielder and attacker we will lose this. It will be a long season and I our lack of creativity and finishing will cost us time and time again.

Our midfield absolutely dominated spurs with this therefore we can dominate Chelsea’s.

Most likely will be Mata, matic and lingard in for James, Gomes and Pereira in which case we will lose

Might be ambitious to put Greenwood there, and I'm sure it's going to be James actually starting, but it's just what I'd want. Can't wait to get started, huge game to start off with as well. Thankfully at Old Trafford.

Predicting 3-1, Rashford, Greenwood and Martial the goalscorers.

We’ll play some exciting stuff for the first half then get dominated in the second and lose 2-1/2-0. I cant trust us to score enough goals to offset how often we are going to lose possession in midfield and look shaky due to Matic.

Think he was tried once and he was bad. If it didn't work in pre-season, not sure our first PL game, when we need a good start is the time for trying again.
I don't necessarily disagree with what you said about him being an impact sub, as i think that is a good option. Just think it's a bit premature to completely right him off as a right sided attacker due to 30 mins or so in a pre season game.

We desperately need someone out there so i hope he can make it work on that side.

    De Gea
    AWB Lindelöf Maguire Shaw
    Fred McTominay Pogba
    Lingard Martial Rashford

Matic and Smalling coming on for tactical adjutsments around the 60th - 75th minute, while James around the 80 mark, try to hit them on the counter.

    What I think we'll se:
    Dr Gea
    AWB Lindelöf Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Matic Pogba
    Lingard Martial Rashford

    Not optimistic at all tbh.

A bore draw with neither team wanting to lose and will play a deep line.

    What?

Neither would play in this game either.

We are better than Chelsea and should win.

I'm convinced Pogba will remain 'injured' until he's sold to Madrid, which I predict will be in around 2 weeks or so. Lukaku will also be sold in the coming weeks. We won't sign anyone else, we have three days for Christ's sake - simply not happening. Therefore...….

    -----------------------DDG------------------------
    Wan Bissaka---Lindelöf--Maguire--------Shaw
    -----------------McTominay---Matic-------------
    ----------------------Mata-----------------------
    Lingard----------Rashford------------Martial

SUBS - Greenwood (Mata), James (Lingard), Fred (Matic)

    Man United 0 - 0 Chelsea

Dogshite game with both teams playing conservatively not wanting to drop two points. Only a couple of shots on target for each team. Our defence will look very solid and Maguire and AWB will impress.

Pogba played in a 'behind closed door' friendly at Carrington the day after the Milan game. Thanks for playing though.

I think it'll be the opposite. Sloppy with goals as both managers seem set on playing decent football but have holes across the squad.

Has Alexis done anything with the squad? Seen some pictures of him working out separately but nothing as part of the squad.

Oh, I'm happy as larry lad. I've spent four months travelling the world already this year and I'm off again in November for another two months. I have far better things to look forward to in life this year alone, than Man United's on-pitch performance.

For context, of our final say 10 games of the season (all competititons) I watched one. One game. And I genuinely didn't care about missing the rest.

Football is a drop in my ocean, mate.

That Chelsea side looks poor without Hazard. We look poor as well without Pogba but he'll play, we'll win by a goal i think

    just our luck

we get a World Class right back and Hazard disappears

reckon we will start bright, fade and settle for a tight draw

How has Chelsea been this pre-season. Not necessarily result-wise, but their way of playing. Do they look like a unit or does it look like hit and miss?

A bit hit and miss. They do not look good defensively but have been decent going forward.

A tough one to call. I think Chelsea have the superior side, but are also away from home with a European Supercup three days later to think about. Reckon we'll see a draw, 2-2.

Lord knows we need a right winger and a creative midfielder. I would prefer to start Greenwood but I think Ole plays it safe and starts Lingard and Pereira.

Hazard will be a big loss for them but they’re still a solid team.

Think it’ll be a draw this, neither team will want to lose.
