Do you really think Levy will ignore £80 million (or thereabouts) because he refuses to sell to another PL club? That would be madness from a business point of view. How will the clubs shareholders feel about that, or the fans if they don't get Bruno or Le Celso due to lack of funds?

Not to mention there is no guarantee Eriksen won't sign for United if given the option in the winter anyway. With no £80 million transfer fee standing in the way, United will be able to dwarf any offer from Madrid or the like, as we did with Sanchez.
Am sorry but he still won't choose you over Madrid even if Ole is friends with his dad. He has been yapping on about Madrid since God knows when, not all players put money above their career which is all you guys seems to have to offer this days and he said we wants to win something fast. Am sorry If you wanna win something fast, you don't go from Tottenham to UTD with the way things stand

Yeah he generally wasn't on it last season, had a dip in form like Dele Alli.

The other 3-4 seasons before that show what a class player he is though. Man. United would be mental to pass this up if he really wants to come. Only still 26 isn't he?
27 but the point stands. If we still has the drive, he should be welcome and his partnership with Pogba will be interesting.

Just heard on a Spurs forum that Danish media are suggesting United aren't interested in Eriksen at all and the stories are to try and stir up more immediate bids from Europe, Ekstra Bladet's 'sources' whoever they are.
Went to EB's site and read the article now. They did a summary of the rumours on Eriksen to United from Spanish and English press then later updated the article with "our English source tells us that you cannot exclude the possibility of this being a ploy by his agent to lure out the non-English clubs".

Well you're gonna end up impotent if you carry on .. Did you learn anything from the Dybala debacle ? This is a nonsense story!
I wasn't overly interested in Dybala in all honesty.

I'm a massive Eriksen fanboy however. Signing him would be a dream come true :)

To go after Eriksen and not a younger Bruno would be peak United.

I posted something similar last night. It's no surprise that the noise around Eriksen starts up when the Donny van de Beek to Madrid rumours popped up. It's his agent trying to get Madrid involved.

Would Eriksen really do that to the club that made him what he is today? That's cold if so.
You can ask the very same thing about him joining United. The only reason he would chose us above Spurs is $$$. And him going to one of the leagues biggest rival just for cash (let's be honest, he's not a United fan since age 3 and we aren't a better club in terms of sport atm) it will also be a low blow for the fans

This would mainly be fun just to taste the salt from the Spurs fans who mistakenly believe they’re bigger than us now.

I think Levy is using us to force the foreign clubs to come to the negotiation table before the English window closes. The only way United will win this race is if we are willing to grossly overpay.

This essentially gets him Bruno for free plus some spare change for another target.
Or maybe we're using Eriken to put more pressure and urgency to close the deal on the player we are negotiating.

Whatever that may be, it will be interesting to see how this turns out in the coming days

Well unfortunately this will just remain a dream not reality! Wasted a week trying to beg Dybala to come.. Thanks Ed

The thing that worries me about this is the first noise came from Miguel Delaney. The shitehawk knows nothing usually, so it probably has been fed by agents.

It's being reported on Sky that we're considering a late move. Could this actually happen?!

Yes. It could also be Woodward trying to say "look at me- we tried to sign big name players but were not able to get them" to try and avoid or delay the discussion that our business may already be over.

Yes of course an enquiry can be made and a bid submitted.

No way on earth in my opinion does Levy sell to us this late. He never got over Berbatov.

The different being Levy and Spurs have a chance to cash in on Eriksen if he signs for United now. That option is lost if Levy allows his pride to take over.

United are a far bigger club than Spurs. It's not even a debate.

Levy isn’t selling Christian Eriksen to Manchester United with two days left of the window for feck sake.

At times like this I’d prefer it if the club just came out and rejected all speculation. And if these briefs are the result of the club, then we’ll just end up red-faced again.

Even if I was completely wrong, I’d be hard pushed to get too excited as it would just feel like the incoming before the eventual Pogba outgoing.

We still have a chance after our window closes though, Real will sign an attacking mid before the window closes.

Meh just feel we going to fund spurs to buy someone even better. I'll take him though since we desperate.
Who? Eriksen is one of the best players in the world in his position. Tottenham are only considering a sale since its his final contract year and he wants to try something new. Eriksen is choosing to move on, not the other way around.

I’d love to see us pull this off but considering how long it takes us to prepare and submit a bid, I don’t really hold much hope.

Would love to be proved wrong, of course.

Eriksen.

Last time we had Bruno vs Dybala thread I said both and if I have to pick 1 then either of them would be good. Now 1 more player v player thread and we might end up with no one. No, 'no one' can't play as CM or RW.

Would be astounded if this happened, would be a phenomenal signing but personally can see Spurs buying Bruno or Lo Celso and Eriksen ending up at a big European heavyweight (not us haha)

That's rich coming from a Chelsea fan

So we're a small club are we? Why did Pogba join us over Real Madrid, or Sanchez over City, or Lukaku over Chelsea. Ectera ectera.

United is of the biggest clubs in world football, with or without CL football. You're living in a dream world if you think our club has lost any of its lure.
