Aah Woody asking Stone to include the 'we got our money back, we are great at negotiating' brag. If I'm not wrong, there were reports that we would have to pay Everton 5 mill pounds if we sold Lukaku this summer. Not sure how right that was but even without considering that 5 mill, we are getting back only 73 mill and that too if all the clauses are met. It's not a deal worth bragging about IMO especially if our replacement is MandzukicTweet

Not expecting much, think Mandzukic is the most likely. Hate to be doom and gloom. Was really happy with the AWB signing. Maguire is a good signing and improves us (maybe overpaid but that’s the market and the United premium).
Surely though that our recruitment team last season have not only come up with James, AWB and Maguire who would improve us and be willing to join?
Just seems like everyone of the past few summers ‘watch this space..’ and before Ed and his team know it the window is shut.
We needed a much bigger window this year to try and close the gap.

If our replacement is Mandzukic, who won't cost more than 10 mill, I'm pretty sure we had the funds. This was just Woody being more incompetentMight be why they rushed Lukaku before deadline, to free the funds before window closes?

If all this Spurs transfer materialize, they will go far ahead of us, just like Liverpool and City. In the meantime we have the club briefing we don't want players that don't want to play for the shirt. feck off
