CL 19/20 Group Stages: Week 6 (Last Round)

Benfica and Liverpool lose on the same day...ahhhh feck them both:lol::lol::drool::drool::drool::D

Back to our awful away days in the group stages. Funnily enough we played better here than last year but managed to lose 1-0.

Nobody says its great, but it's not a farmer league too like some portray it.

Obviously not .. but it's best days are well past it. Obviously it still has some decent teams capable of pulling off a result (especially at home where Liverpool seem to struggle) but other than Juve nobody has a hope in hell of doing anything major in the competition.

Damn, this should have been more than a point. Could be a very important one in the long run, though.

I’m going to enjoy laughing at Liverpool for the 2 days prior to us getting pegged back by Astana

Ah yes this one result which Liverpool lost last season (and then still qualified ahead of Napoli) proves Serie A is still great.
Don't put words in my mouth. I'm annoyed by the posters who keep downplaying the Serie A every chance they get. Regular watchers of the league know otherwise.

The Benfica pigs lose at home. They need a case study for why they are so different in Europe...preferably a court case...with trials..with sentencing.

I watch it semi-regularly and it's not a terrible league but it's also definitely declined massively over the years. Juventus are the only true greats left with Inter/A.C a shadow of their past selves. Napoli are a good team but regularly struggle to do anything in Europe.

This result doesn't prove anyone wrong. Of course it's still a top level league and it's 2nd best team is capable of winning at home against any team, but we should judge Serie A by how their teams do in the competition overall, not based on one group game. Liverpool are regularly not great away from home in Europe and this was an even game where Napoli got the breaks. That penalty decision was ludicrous.

Reus absolutely shambolic with those misses, and I'm not even talking about the penalty

Sancho though  Surely he has to be the top target for Ole next summer
