Huge respect for him as a player but the job is such far far too big for him

He talked all summer about improving fitness and stamping a style on this team but it looks worse then ever before

One thing I expected Ole to do was raise the morale and as a result the quality of our excisting players. Something is rotten in our squad, our best players are the new arrivals.

Mata, Matic, Rojo, Jones, Young, Sanchez and Smalling are only out on loan.

All those need to go and will need replacing.

Personally I’d add Bailly, Pereira and McTominay too but I know that’d be unrealistic.
We honestly shouldn't worry about the squad players, we should fix the starting 11 first.

Because Barca have a football structure. A football philosophy. No matter who the manager is, they stick to it and are successful. What is United's philosophy?

Fergie made it successful by have an understanding board, hence they never sacked him. Can you care to explain to me why you feel our board are so good?
So Fergie made our philosophy but Barca is different because there philosophy was made by Johan Cryuff??

Do you know how silly this sounds? I tell you what maybe we hire a coach with the same playing principles as Fergie. We can then copy your Barca example.

How the feck was he smiling walking from the dugout then?

Cretin.
Cretin is way over the top, relax. Granted he shouldn't of smiled like that after another piss poor effort from his team. This whole sorry situation isn't on him. It's that 5 headed moron Woodward who deserves your vitriol.

I don't mind poor results, but we need to see something that can at least give us some hope for the future.

But who is up for this job?

LVG, Jose and now Ole have all failed to get a tune out of these players. What makes you believe anyone can get these lads performing?
Come on, they're not the worst footballers in the world are they? Shall we just fold the club then if nobody else can get us playing any better?

Just as out of depth as Neville was at Valencia. Can see us being in the bottom half by Christmas.

He’s here for the long haul. Quite rightly, too. Get used to it. The playing squad is very poor, albeit the last few performances have been terrible, injuries notwithstanding.

Hopefully the (largely hopeless) moderators on this forum will clamp down on the unnecessary personal abuse directed at a club legend. It’s terrible in some instances.

That's the point though. Barca's philosophy has remained consistent since then. Ours has not. Otherwise why would we hire LVG and then Mourinho?

It's Moyes times a thousand. A manager who clearly isn't good enough getting the job because of values or whatever. Absolute disaster, really.

So what would be the term you would use to call our defense?. "Slightly leaking". I am sorry,if I don't go by your definitions.

We bought two expensive players to shore up our defense and that was the argument used all summer and now to defend Ole's signings. But that hasn't really stopped us from conceding the goals. That was what I am trying to say.
Conceding the occasional goal at pretty normal quantities for any team? We have a good defence now. Did you expect Mourinhos chelsea or something? Teams will concede goals on occasion. If you have nothing going forward especially, those 1 or 2 freak goals you concede will make you lose. You can limit chances as we have done, but teams will always concede goals.

It's funny isn't it. After talking so much about fitness and this preseason that was going to solve everything, our players are dropping like flies by the end of September.

Good job calling the mods useless, I'm sure that will go down well

I remember people defending Moyes, LVG and Jose too. Good times

The entitlement reeks of desperation in here haha!

OLE OUT!

New manager bounce - results get poor

NEW MANAGER OUT!

Rinse and Repeat.

Too many of you have been blessed by good results and it shows.

God forbid anyone of you supported Liverpool the last decade or so....mid table fodder and an almost there team...change manager and what’dya know have him time instead of keep changing the manager and now one of the two best teams in the country.

Some of you guys don’t deserve to be called “fans” - a fan supports the team through thick and thin, no matter how long the poor results go you should always support the team. I bet most of you would stop supporting us if we ever got relegated!

Disgusting.

We're in shite situation really and I don't think sacking Ole is going to solve it. I don't think there's anyone out there bar Fergie who can take on these clowns.
I was all for sacking him on the spot, but this is hilarious. He will probably break all anti-records there is in this single season.

It's a write off anyway...

Can’t blame him really, he needs time to get rid of the deadwood and at least 3-4 windows and 500 million to get a squad that can beat Rochdale at Old Trafford.

It's most concerning that we look no different than what we were under Mourinho at his worst or even Moyes.

In fact the only time we ever looked like we were coached to follow a certain tactic was LVG and that was still boring as piss.

It really shouldn't take this long to implement a style of football. Ole isn't good enough and the coaching staff aren't blameless either. Our team has no discernable identity at the moment.

I won’t disagree with this but surely he’s experienced enough to know how to set up a team to play a league 1 side.
We don't know how good he is or what he does. He did fail when he managed and left coaching for a while

I’m not even sure he’s a premier league quality manager.

Love you as a player Ole, but by God your management is fecking amateur.

We've not had the same groups of players for every manager.

We just played fecking Rochdale and had to rely on pens.

And we've not scored over 1 goal since the Chelsea game.

And Ole was happy with the squad going into the season. He's a complete novice. Moyes 2.0.

He’s not great but the players need to do so much better. This team should be able to beat Rochdale without even having a coach ffs. Also you have Mike Phelan running training, a guy who sat next to Fergie’s side for many years. Very naive to think this is all Ole tbh.
Phelan should never have been brought back.

Another stupid decision from the board.

I usually come on here to yell at everyone for being so negative (which is still a massive annoyance and over the top) but that really was bad from Ole. I always thought that once he has his team, in 2 to 3 transfer windows time, he'd be ok, but scraping past Astana, losing to West Ham and now scraping past Rochdale, I'm not so sure he's the right man for the job.

I've always backed him and still will, but have serious doubts now. Not looking good, not even being able to motivate his team to beat Rochdale at OT? Carrick and Mckenna have a lot to answer for too, mind.

I wonder what the feck we do from Monday to Friday. I see no ability to break teams down. I see no fight, no desire and very little quality. I see scared performances, where not only is the fear factor gone but its almost been flipped on its head and we're scared of everyone else.

Guess what?

I felt the exact same way with LvG and Jose. We routinely faltered against significantly inferior opposition.

It's the fecking players.

Talentless, gutless, embarrassing and shameless cowards. There are barely words strong enough. And I'm not even going to begin with the board because I don't feel like typing an essay.

Imagine thinking the problem is Ole. I actually don't have the words for people with that mentality.

Our football is less entertaining than under Mourinho, of course you can blame him.
