Newcastle have a relatively easy game coming up next week so Bruce may survive a while yet.

Was it even that rash? He got the ball before Rashford fell over if i remember correctly. Wasnt a 100% penalty.. United got pretty lucky.

Good buy, hardly lost any quality on the pitch and also received way too much for Maguire. Excellent business from Leicester.
It was unnecessary in that position, the decision could've gone either way but I'm not going to complain about the pen. We were pretty confident that Soy would step-up but he surpassed our expectations. Our scouting network is doing a great job at unearthing gems. It's more the "big" signings like Slimani, A. Silva, Iborra that generally didn't pay off last seasons.

Looks like a standard away performance for Arsenal so far.

Does anyone find Pepe worthy of his price tag? He looks like league 1/championship player whenever I have seen him. Did he have a single good game in Premier league?

United with the tactical fouls. Great one from Pereira.

He never looks like he has any composure or real ability to do the basics. Has pace to burn and sometimes does something where you go 'oh shit, ok' but then he'll mess up the easy pass or the finish.

It is early days though. But for 70 odd mill you'd expect him to be settling a bit by now and getting some goals from open play .. we're not talking some 19 year old, it's a 70 odd million pound signing and he's 24.

he's Adama Traore with on the back of a season where everything he tried came off. Headless chicken. Great pace and good touch, nothing else going for him.

Every single corner or freekick we're searching Maguire's head since the start of the season. That's pathetic! Very bad coaching IMO.

This isn't a very good game.

Pepe's been disappointing this season. Not clinical enough.

exactly. Apart from Pace, he cant even do his basics right. I'd say United got better deal in James. I understand it is too early to make any conclusion but generally skilled players do show spark.
Anyways nice goal by McTominay. United 1-0

Standard performance at Old Trafford.

Also another example of Young getting away with multiple fouls every game.

Embarrassing for the Premier League, a truly horrendous game of football made worse by a totally inept referee.

Pepe has been laughable.

what a joke, United should be furious.

That goal is on the linesman, he should have kept the flag down. Joke.

I'm actually starting to have a lot more respect for Auba. I've always had my doubts over his credentials as a top level striker due to his all round game, but feck me the guy is consistent when it comes to goals. Maybe I was wrong and he is in that top tier.

Right now he's the jewel for Arsenal much like Kane is the jewel for us. Keeping them up there with the top four chases almost on his own.

And I thought the Liverpool vs West Ham offsides were bad last year.

VAR is used weird in the PL can’t really complain about the decision there but unlike in the WC it’s never going to overturn anything in the PL.

So that handball situation. He doesnt really have his hands in an awkward position and tries to avoid it. Is that still hand ball now? I cant keep up with these rules.

The reactions after the Liverpool game were bizarre. People saying he would tear the Prem apart based on him running quickly a few times on the counter attack.

Aren't the players instructed to ignore the flag anyway? If not fair enough it's a joke, but if so then it's up to them to follow that through and not get distracted.

Easier said than done though, in truth.

Why? Everyone played on as if the offside wasn't given despite the flag going up, no-one stopped.
It's clear as day De Gea had stopped and even Auba, didn't flinch when he saw the flag, he was 100% it was no goal. It was the correct decision but lino can't be flagging for that and than allowing the goal to stand.

MU vs Arsenal used be an event. What a letdown in terms of quality it is nowadays.
I think Carragher summed it up, it did look like the 8th vs 11th best side in the league. United have a big decision to make and they need to make it before it gets too late.

3 years ago I'd have laughed my arse off if someone told me that we would get to the PL and have a serious chance of beating Man Utd and Arsenal but it doesn't seem an impossible task

United should have won tonight if not for clumsy mistakes. Arsenal very fortunate and got the rub of the green with VAR on the handball. Stonewall.

Completely agree. His arm was down by his side in a natural position in my eyes.
