BY HIM!

Please, do elaborate.
What is he trying to do? As a manager I mean. What is he trying to make our team look like? What is he trying to implement as a system?

Obviously Woodward is shite and those above him are shite. But that doesn't mean Ole is right.
I can see the point people are making about the style of play of the team, we are not seeing any tangible progress in that department, at least, not at this point in time. I completely agree with this point.

I still believe that the players let him down after that good spell at the start of his tenure last year. you could see at that time the style of play he wanted to implement. His transfers this summer go in that sense even if they weren't wenough considering our departures.

I think that there's something inherently wrong with this group of players. He's trying to correct that by clearing out the players that aren't suited to what he wants to do, and for me, we should let him have the next one or two transfer windows to get the players he wants and we'll see.

We tried changing managers. It was our strategy the last 6 years. We might think we have other options than giving him time but we don't. There's no manager right now worth sacking Ole for.

What changed since Ole was made permanent?
When he was interim he had the team playing really well, among the best in the league, if not the best.
Remembering that run of games is the only thing that makes me think he can do the job.

man needs to be given the support in getting the players he needs.

He identified 3 very good players and they are doing well.

He was found out. That's also why the tactics have changed from that time.

The players decided to stop trying. Again. Time to scrutinise the players and not the manager this time.

Thing is, he walked into 10 piss easy games and actually the games were more us being clinical than us dominating the games. Revisit his possession stats, XG and everything else if you want context - it was never sustainable. Moreover the only big test he had in the league was one where we deserved to lose around 3-1 (Tottenham).

I think that there's something inherently wrong with this group of players. He's trying to correct that by clearing out the players that aren't suited to what he wants to do, and for me, we should let him have the next one or two transfer windows to get the players he wants and we'll see.
I agree the quality with the players are wrong. And they aren't suited to what he wants to do. But that's also on him. When you play a central midfielder on the right wing, he won't do what you expect. When you play an advanced play-maker in Pogba in a deep lying midfielder role, he won't do as you expect, and so on. Then we get to his bizzare evaluation of players. Selling Lukaku and Sanchez whilst pointing to Greenwood just doesn't add up. This is not the sign of a good manager.

We tried changing managers. It was our strategy the last 6 years. We might think we have other options than giving him time but we don't. There's no manager right now worth sacking Ole for.
It looks in Ole's case that keeping him is likely more detrimental than changing him. Change for the sake of change is never good, but you'd struggle to find better cases than this for a top club sacking their manager. I agree not many are available though. Allegri is the only big name and even he has his critics.

Nobody can wins with fans like you.

Say that you're not satisfied with the squad similar to Jose; and you should be sacked because you're throwing your players under the bus.
Stay positive and say that you're happy with the squad ? and you're a "yes" man and should be sacked.

And quite frankly, if you believe that he's happy with his squad because he's publicly saying that, you're as naive as they come.
Say he wasn’t happy with the squad being left short. Then do enlighten me as to why he loaned Sanchez out after the transfer window had closed and he knew full well we’d get caught short?!

It’s just the same tired old story all you Ole In people bring to the fore. It’s Woodward’s fault, he wasn’t given the backing he needed etc etc.

Explain the logic behind letting Fellaini, Herrera, Lukaku going without having identified definite replacements. That’s just lunacy.

Explain loaning Smalling out but keeping Jones?

Or perhaps he’s getting rid of deadwood?

On what planet is deadwood the likes of Lukaku, Sanchez, Smalling and Herrera? But then Jones, Young, Mata, Matic, Lingard etc aren’t deadwood and should be handed new contracts?

Where do you Ole In fans look at all that and still have the audacity to defend him?! Not only had his decision making pre season been utterly atrocious, but we only now need to look at the play on the field to see he also has no clue tactically. Can someone please tell me what evidence there is to suggest he has tactical nous and knows what he’s doing? What is our style of play under him?

As for your comment about “fans like me”, well I was never one to criticise Jose for publicly criticising the board or the team. I certainly didn’t say he should be sacked for saying he wasn’t satisfied with the squad. Why? Because it was glaringly obvious the squad wasn’t as good as it could have been when he has Ed Woodward stopping him signing Maguire.

Finally, for those claiming he should be kept based on his 3 signings alone, are they not aware there is far more to management than transfers? There are other little things called coaching, tactics, fitness, man management. Not only this, Maguire was identified by Jose, and James by Giggs. So stop trying to give complete credit to Ole.

It seems fans can never win with fans like you who are willing to defend Ole till the cows come home. Regardless of form and results. I don’t know what you’re watching, but how you can be confident this is the way to go, I have no idea.

Let’s reassess after the Bournemouth game. Happy to be proven wrong, but I think it’s obvious to any sane person that I won’t be.

Same players who have been downing tools when things get tough - Lingard, Pogba, Rashford, Matic, Mata. That is supposed to be our core/spine/experience right there but they've been shit ever since Ole signed his contract. In fact, the ones who have been good for us are the ones Ole have signed plus Martial and McTominay. That's it.

Why the meltdown from you all then if it was expected?
Meltdown? It just hurts seeing the club you support drifting more and more into mediocrity every year, especially now when we have got clearly the worst manager since SAF.

Provided we don't drop ridiculously far down the table, I think he deserves another summer transfer window. Our defense is more or less sorted (although Lindelöf is annoyingly weak in the air). I want to see what he can do with 3 top signings in midfield and attack (2 CMs with one of them being a creator, and 1 proper goalscorer).

I don't think we can read too much into interviews as managers under pressure says all kinds of weird stuff. And not being a good enough isn't the same as being stupid or thick.
He is both not good enough and seriously thick in absolute droves.

As a manager he is all kinds of clueless and a complete drooling dolt who spouts mindless drivel whenever he opens his mouth.

He's not thick - and he shouldn't be attacked personally.

In fact, I'd argue that he's pretty crafty to've stayed in the job this long!

He isn't tactically gifted, and is a really poor coach, but he clearly isn't thick as a person.

True, his English is a lot better than some born over here, and it’s almost definitely better than my Danish, which consists of bacon and, er “a danish please”.
My Norwegian is fecking awful though.

Nothing he's ever said sounds nuanced or considered or has any substance whatsoever. It's all just vapid nonsense with zero thought behind it.

He certainly ain't got the brains to manipulate the situation that would allow him to stay in the job as long as he has. I think that may have a little more to do with wider circumstances that up until now has allowed him to sail blissfully along entirely in his own world.

That’s way over the top and not justified in any way shape or form.
just because he is struggling as a manager doesn’t give you the right to call a man who you don’t know thick.

God, so much hate.

I'm not for a RAWK type moderation, but the mods should look into comments like yours a bit more. There's no justification whatsoever for name-calling.

Form since permanent is the worst post-SAF.

Not all his fault, but clearly plays some part given his lack of experience as a manager at this level.

The job is too big for him.

so when we were winning, Ole was credited to the point he got the job full time., but now that we are losing "it's the players"?

I am so torn with Ole. After every game, in rage I am saying sack him. His tactics are strange, he does not know how to play attacking football and he chats a lot of BS to the press. The only person he is convincing is himself.

After some time to reflect (9 times this season) i know they playees he has bought in have been positive. James looks like a steel at 15m, AWB is a god at right back and has loads of room to improve and Maguire somewhat has been calming at the back. Given 3 more windows, what can he do and bring in?

The major issue so far is injuries and the fact ole has no plan b. De gea AWB Lindeloff Maguire shaw Mctominay Pogba Fred Rashford Martial and james is a very good squad and can get top 4 providing they play in the right positions and apply the right mentality. So I am thinking, lets just wait and see if he can do this with them all back. He will not throw in the youth and I really do understand this because you cannot expect a 17, 18 and 19 year old to make the difference. This is what has screwed up Rashford so much, they need to be playing and learning off established players.

Ole or the board made a huge mistake in the summer when they did not sign a midfielder. We actually needed two. Teilemans, Ndombelle, Fernandez, Rice, Madison, Ndid were all linked. Anyone of them would improve us massively. Thinking with my head, Ole cannot play football but i think he knows how to. Hopefully one more window in jan he can bring in a couple of recruits and relwase the burden.

Maguire was wanted by Mourinho a year earlier for less money.

James was scouted by Giggs.

AWB was literally the highest profile available RB in the PL.
He is not a rubber stamp.
He clearly agreed with the players he wanted. There were other names I'm sure but he did not go for them.

Importantly he was not given further players he needed in midfield.

I'd give him October to see if things can improve tactically. I doubt he will be a long-term manager at United, fans are turning against him in big numbers and the players doesn't seem to buy in anymore.

Seems out of his depth at most parametres, but while he still has the job there's time to turn it around. Perhaps he's got that in him

What manager has ever turned it around from this sort of position?

From what kind of position?
Do I really need to elaborate?

The position Ole and the team is currently in. What manager has turned it around from that to go on and be a success?

I can think of maybe SAF 30 years ago but.. let's be fair.. Ole is not SAF so.. why would anyone possibly think there's any chance he could turn this around?

Just think it will be interesting to see how he would perform/change under sack looming, I guess we will see that the next few games anyway.

It will take a bit of time to sort out a new permanent manager anyway. At least a couple of weeks

You are right, Ole is the next Ferguson, all he needs is time, as a matter of fact every manager is the next SAF, if he is given time.
All there is to becoming a giant of manager is time, piece of cake, maybe I could become the next SAF if someone gives me time too, there’s nothing more to it.
Perfect response to this kind of utterly flawed correlation.

Rightly or wrongly, lose today and it'll be irrecoverable for Ole. The fans comments towards him are terrible and the club will likely be forced to act.

No idea what we'll do in the interim or who the hell would want to come to a club in the position we're in, and who in their right mind would want to sign for us when we sack yet another manager especially so soon into the season.

Absolute circus of a club with a toxic fanbase (in the majority).
