He will be DoF or someone who will head the football operations. So we’re after some bloke to manage/ coach the team? A bloke who’s 61 and not exactly pulled up any trees during his managerial career?
Or is he going in above Ole?
Thats long enough to have someone working along side him that can take over the roleDof football? A position to oversee the longterm success of a club? So we hire a 61 year old likely to retire within a decade?
Manchester United.
Oh feck off.Dof football? A position to oversee the longterm success of a club? So we hire a 61 year old likely to retire within a decade?
Manchester United.
Ragnar did do well with the Vikings to be fair, very strong attack.
A decade would be good enough, that's ten years. Coaches in the ilk of Nagelsmann, Rose, Wagner, Klopp are famous for their brand of football, but most of them are disciples of Rangnick. He's a football revolutionary and I can't think of many men that would fit the DOF role better than him. I'd take him even if at 70, the difficult part is actually being able to convince him to come.Dof football? A position to oversee the longterm success of a club? Yeah why would we hire an experienced director with proven track record, we should hire a 40-year old to make sure he can stick around for 25 years regardless of performance. The United way.Dof football? A position to oversee the longterm success of a club? So we hire a 61 year old likely to retire within a decade?
Manchester United.
What signings was he responsible for at RB?Rangnick is a fantastic coach and DoF. Whatever role he is given, I'll be happy to have him.
As a manager he was very impressive with Hoffenheim and did decently at Schalke, then after his hiatus he took Leipzeg to 3rd place after they were 6th the previous season.
As a DoF, he's done amazingly well at Leipzeg since he joined with him in he lower divisions and taking them to BL. Their signings have been great during that time.
Every signing. He built this whole 'project' called RB Leipzig. What signings was he responsible for at RB?
No modern business hires someone in a 10 + perspective. That’s fairytale thinking. The structure and strategy should never be dependent on one person. Which is also the main reason we have struggled after the great man retired.Dof football? A position to oversee the longterm success of a club? Oh I see, thanks.Every signing. He built this whole 'project' called RB Leipzig.

Someone like uncle pat.Thats long enough to have someone working along side him that can take over the role
Yeah everybody knows DoF's peak at age 45.Dof football? A position to oversee the longterm success of a club? So we hire a 61 year old likely to retire within a decade?
Manchester United.
We won't see him at either of those 2 clubs. He's used to calling the shots at his respective employers, and doesn't like others reigning into his meddlings.Feels like he is interested in the Bayern job and using United as a negotiation ploy. It might not be bad if he takes Klopp with him to Munich.
Sounds like he's big on motivation and good football. Get him in.Rangnick’s fast transitions
Where has he displayed this, which signings?Only DoF i want to see at Manchester United is Paul Mitchell.
Eye for good buys and United fan.
https://spielverlagerung.com/2017/01/02/beyond-the-business-model-rb-leipzigs-football-philosophy/The key figure in all of this was and still is Ralf Rangnick, who not only has been serving as sporting director at RB Leipzig since 2012, but who also was the sporting director of Red Bull Salzburg between 2012 and 2015. Under his supervision, Schmidt built up Salzburg as said Gegenpressing powerhouse. Under his supervision, head coach Alexander Zorniger failed to advance Leipzig in the Saxons’ first season in the second Bundesliga. That was when Rangnick decided to take matters into his own hands. The former Schalke and Hoffenheim coach returned to the sideline and guided Leipzig into the top flight of German football.

What we need most is someone who can lay the foundations for the position, and a structure that will last for years to come. For that we need experience, which is why when names like VDS are thrown about they don't make any sense. Most of these guys have been successful going in with a functional system already in place. They've never had to build one from the ground up.Dof football? A position to oversee the longterm success of a club? So we hire a 61 year old likely to retire within a decade?
