Because we’ve got a great team, playing exciting offensive football. Graham Potter has changed this team beyond all recognition, anyone expecting the defensive set up we’ve employed previously at OT is in for a shock, Potter will think we can get something from this game.

That will likely suit us more to be fair. Teams that sit in and defend all game are our kryptonite.

I hope you’re wrong! We’ve never had better than a draw at OT so willing to try something new

Ansu Fati was 16 and manager put faith in him. Greenwood is now 18?

As someone else mentioned, players don't develop at the same age. That being said Greenwood got his first team debut starter debut in May 2019. And for me he was easily player of the game.

A very recent example of this is Martin Ødegaard who came to Real Madrid as the most hyped talent of his birthyear, then slowed his development quite noticeably compared to what "everyone" hoped. The Ødegaard from his 18th birthday and the Ødegaard who was voted La Liga player of the month in September 2019, are players in completely different universes.

The players who are La Liga/EPL ready are extremely rare, sure there are a lot of players who keep getting frequent minutes, but the ones who are a shoe-in for a starter position on titlecompeting teams are far inbetween.

I think Mason Greenwood will become a star, he's got all the tools if he continues developing. I don't think its fair to burde him with the responsibility it is to carry a team who's still finding its way however. Not while he's still in the place where he needs to find himself and where he fits in a league of men, build confidence and find structure and stability.

I want to say we'll win easily cause I don't think Brighton are that good. That being said loads on here seem to think their manager is fantastic and they play great attacking football so I'll go 1-1.

Also can we get some pro-active subs from Ole today? Rodgers changed the game for Leicester yesterday by bringing on Gray.

Four Brighton goals away from home including three at Watford is not attacking football. Possession football and passing football is credible with away stats better than United at Old Trafford.

Watching Jonny Evan boss Arsenal yesterday really brought the insanity of football home to me.We pay 80 mill. for Maguire and Leicester improve not us? How much did we sell Evans for? Not a lot I bet.It screams of bad management and I don't mean just by the football manager.

We have improved though. Quite a lot compared to last year.

    Predictable at number 10.

At least Brandon Williams gets to start.

Annoyed that Pereira starts over Mata and Greenwood. We need more creativity and goalscoring ability in the team.

As expected. I would have liked to see Mata get another opportunity over Andreas today.

It was stupid to sell Evans though. LVG didn't have a clue really with his transfers. Just like Di Maria would have worked with a more attacking and better manager.

He said we had to press them as they like to dominate, so not surprised to see Pereira at #10. Also a bit much to expect Mata to have recovered in time.

Glad McTominay's knock wasn't significant, we rely on him.

The best team we can put out without pogba.

we need to start fast and really put them under pressure. Let them grow into it and they’ll cause us problems, they’ve been on a great run so far.

I don't know if we could put out a better team, but still I don't like seeing Perreira or Lindelof in the line-up.

This is a game we should and need to win. Brighton under Potter is a very good attacking side though so we need to play well to win this.

I know we have no quality no 10 but I would rather play Mata who at least is able to find a pass in tight spaces and scores a goal from time to time than Pereira who is at best Championship quality or Lingard who would right now struggle in any team.

Wonder how injured Mctominay was then? Will he be a risk starting today?

If Lingard was in any sort of form, he would be starting as our #10 in games we didnt feel like we needed 3 midfielders.

I'd love to know what he sees in Perreira because all i see is someone who's average performance for us is a 5/10. Delighted for Williams.

Could Pereira FINALLY do something in this number 10 role. Not sure how many more chances he should get

    Mata can barely move.

He doesnt have the legs to play two matches within 3 days unfortunately.
He's barely played this season. He'd be fine, and can also be subbed if he tires towards the end.

Look at our options for the number 10. Unbelievable.

It gives me such a harmony and good feelings that even if Pereira fecks it up, I can just go ahead say "It's okay We can replace him with Lingard". I feel very safe and cozy. I love this game.

I know it's the best team we can put out but feck me, I've just come to the startling realisation of the shite we have in our first squad.

I missed the line-up comp but I would have got 11/11.

I hope it's not the same 4231 again.

Against weak opponents at home like today i hope to see this:

    De Gea
    AWB - Maguire - Lindelof
    Pereira - McTominay - Fred - Williams
    James - Martial - Rashford
