So this has come to my attention today. Al Pacino in 'The Local Stigmatic' attempting what appears to be, well, listen for yourself...

It's a bit like Phil Cornwall doing Michael Caine crossed with Harry H Corbett. Half expected him to break into "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off Harold...you dirtay old man" at one point.

Truly Bizarre.

Any one else got some abominable movie accents to share? Lesser known films and the bigger the actor the better...

Ray Winstone in The Departed takes top prize here.
Yeah I'm generally not that impressed with British actors doing American accents (bar Dom West and Ibris Elba in The Wire). Ray doesn't fully commit here you can tell...

I think basically since Dustin Hoffman said "Hey, I'm walking here!" in Midnight Cowboy, they've all decided it's a piece of piss.

Yeah awful. Too slow and deliberate. Sounds like he's chewing on a script. From 1:20 on in the below...Christ

Woeful, this is the one that sprang to mind for me, but Pacino's London is pisspoor too.

Irish is one many actors have come a cropper on. Bit of a shitty video but there's some good examples here:

I'd also add Tommy Lee Jones from Blown Away.

Not sure Sean Connery belongs on there. He doesn't even attempt one does he?

As I mentioned earlier this week, Liam Neeson in Michael Collins:

"Top o' the morning, and Lucky Charms to ye. I'm grand, so. Four-leaf clovers, begorrah, and I'm after Dana. No, I'm not Chinese - I'm from Coke...I mean, Cork."

It's hard for me to discern a Geordie accent. And while I can generally pick up a cockney accent, I'm not familiar enough with it to know if someone is doing terribly at it.

Took a lass to see last Christmas the other day, Emma Thompson has a pretty awful eastern European accent in that.
Made the film for me.
