About bloody time too, guy is one of the biggest frauds to hit English football. Hopefully he’s gone for good.

For any Everton fans that don’t want David Moyes, you’re Everton ffs. A solid mid table premier league side. Moysie guarantees that for you.

I think if Moyes does take over again it'll be purely with the intention of Keeping Everton in the Prem. Then maybe in the summer they might look for an upgrade. It would be a sensible move for Everton.
Not sure, if Moyes does alright and gets his feet back under the table i could easily see Kenwright pushing hard to keep him. Infact I could see him doing that anyway, he practically declared his love for him on Sky Sports when he left.

maybe 5-10 years ago. Not now. I’d be furious as an Everton fan if he rocked up. Even short term.

I have no idea where they go next though? They are in a right mess. Silva was meant to be the long term plan man and even that's got wrong. They don't want a Moyes or an Allardyce. The fans are vocal about that.

Mourinho at OT yesterday, Moyes at OT on the 15th - what odds on Alkmaar re-appointing LVG before next Thursday?

Moyes would be a stupid appointment but can see that happening. He will set up in a way to not lose and play a boring football. Surely they can do better.

Don't know if you're serious, but that's so arrogant, nowadays any mid table side can hope to fight for top 6 or even more a'la Leicester (or United :nervous:). Moyes would be an atrocious appointment.

Don't think Moyes going back is a good idea. They were steady eddies under him, I doubt the Everton fans want that.

How he got 3 premiership jobs is crazy. Relegated with Hull (despite getting good results for a time) sacked by Watford after results went south and he lost focus, yet Everton took him on and he’s been their worst manager in over 20 years.

They've got money and ambitions, appointing him would signal that this is as good as it gets for them.

In a world of my own. People know me here.

At this moment in time I'd say it's a case of needs-must & Premiership consolidation for Everton. They need a short-term fix before they can look further ahead. It's all very well Evertonians wanting a better manager, but what they want, & who is prepared to take the job are 2 different things. I certainly can't see someone of the calibre of Poch taking on such a job. Give Moyes the position until the end of the season & then have a look for something better. Assuming he keeps them up that is. A few positive results & performances will soon change the minds of the naysayers. Football fans are fickle like that.

Interesting points about Moyes. How would he work with Brands? Last time he was at the club he ran everything from what I can gather. Would be accept being a head coach with no sway elsewhere?

Heard Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche and Chris Wilder mentioned. Are any of them going to leave their current clubs mid season? Very much doubt it. Poch? Absolutely no chance.

Surely a short term appointment until the summer is the best bet.

It's really not a poor squad. Flawed, but not poor. They weren't even poorly managed until a few weeks ago, they just got incredibly unlucky with results for a couple months and then lost confidence

Moyes would only be a stop gap. Not a full time appointment.

Remember Moyes last game as Utd manager at Everton.

All the Everton fans mocking and taunting him.

And here we are 5 years later and it sounds like they're going to re-hire him to try and save them from relegation. Pretty funny

Moyes is done. If Everton were to take him back it would be for sentimental reasons only. (His record since he left being abysmal). We all know how far sentiment gets you in football!

He won't end up back there. The power's that be at Watford hate him for the way he wanted to leave them for Everton. They even played music mocking him when he returned there last season.
