Because hes being blocked off. The ball is there to be won.
Oh and feck off City. Ridiculous that theyre only 6 in front of Chelsea now.
They have to pick up or they could be sucked into a top 4 race
He went through the man to get to the ball, entirely different.

Whacked 20 quid on Wolves to win 15 minutes ago. Man. City have really looked like 10 men since 70th minute, hit the wall around that point.

Was going to say will be tough for them to get up again in 48 hours but at least likes of Aguero, Mahrez and KDB well rested.

Ralf Rangnick.
Mendy isnt trying to play the ball. How many times do you see attackers timewaste in the corner and get shoved of the ball.
A ball would never get out from the corner in that situation if these were called
I can see it from that angle. He should have cleared his lines before that situation occurred anyway.

The question is, is it fair game to go through the defender to get to the ball in that situation? It just seemed so blatant to me.

Wasnt excessive though. Those challenges arent illegal! Mendy has to fall to the ground there like every defender in the history of the game to get that.
Otherwise he tried to guide ball out and wasnt strong enough.

I wasn't sure whether I want Wolves to win here because they'd go above us but if Citeh go into meltdown, it might open up another top 4 slot. It's also hilarious to see them losing from 0-2 up.

That ship sailed weeks ago. Now it’s time to watch them burn.
The title race was over before this result.

Liverpool were never dropping that many points.
You really think them winning this would have made a difference? Just enjoy it.
The title is long gone anyway.

Just enjoy watching City look shite, it's not happened too often recently.
Whatever helps you guys sleep at night. I'll never enjoy seeing Liverpool in such a strong position.

But hes not trying to play the ball. How many times do defenders get to stand a yard out from the ball, not try to play it and let it run out when theyre not in control of it?
If Mendy isnt trying to play it then he isnt in control of it.
Just my opinion anyway
