Might as well be for you if you genuinely buy into that laughable nonsense.
Believe me it's better than cheerleading mass murderers like suleimani, Assad, MBS and Nasralla who have all destroyed ME post Iraq war

So you’re suggesting condemnation of these people as well as US foreign policy in the Middle East are mutually exclusive? Does condemning one endorse the other?

Iyad’s thread is aimed at the likes of Max Blumenthal and George Galloway who present themselves as leftists but spend their time cheer-leading for Assad, Iran and Putin, and who have adopted in whole the discourse of the War on Terror but have instead directed it against America and its perceived allies in the region, including all those who took up arms against Assad. It’s not the whole left or even the majority, but they tend to be obnoxious, loud, and extremely active and so naturally attract the ire of Arab liberals like Iyad.

My brain can't get pregnant!

The arrogance and compete disregard to respect any rule, tradition or person outside of their circle is appalling. This Presidency has been trampling all over rights and trying it's hardest to suppress or falsify any piece of information since they took over.

This alone should be reason enough to have them all removed and charged with treason.

This guy is just going to stir up another hornet's nest then just walk away and watch the aftermath unfold. Isn't there anybody in the GOP that is giving him any sound advice or able/prepared to challenge him on any level?

He really is coming across as a modern day US dictator. It's unbelievable.

A red flag has been raised during a ceremony to honour Iran’s top general Qassem Soleimani in a declaration they are ready for war. Iranian state television aired the image from a mosque in the Shiite holy city of Qom, showing the flag flying above the minarets. Red flags in Shiite tradition symbolise both blood spilled unjustly and serve as a call to avenge a person who is slain. It is the first time in history that the red flag has been hoisted on top of the Jamkaran mosque in the Iranian city and comes after warnings of harsh retaliation against the US.

People have to realise that there is a World outside of the USA and the UK. The majority of people on this Earth live outside these two countries so it is given that most people may not support their stance on many things.

It’s amazing the mystique attached to him - “the man who defeated ISIS”. Such nonsense.
He did not defeat ISIS. Most of the Work is done by the Iraqi counter terror force. The golden brigade. But to be fair, PMF with the leadership of Abu Mahdi had an important role in controlling the liberated cities and they did participate in most of the battles specially in Anbar province. But the credit should go mostly to the brave men of the counter terror force and the Iraqi army.

As much as many believe he is awful, I genuinely believe Trump does what he thinks is best for the American people. I really don't see what specific reasons people have to seemingly hate him.
Well, that’s one way to look at it.

If you believe he’s awful, how do you not see why folks hate him?

I’d love to know what sites important to “Iranian culture” he’s referring to.

The fact he’s using symbolism of 52 sites for 52 lives says that you know this is absolute nonsense he’s just made up while sitting on the potty.

As if analysts at the pentagon and within the CIA would subscribe to such hubris.

Edit - knowing nod at @Organic Potatoes

He's blustering that the US has Qom in its crosshairs if Iran follows through with any attacks.
Hopefully not religious sites?
Plenty of such sites throughout Iraq as well. It’s too ludicrous to contemplate though...

It would be pointless to attack sites in Iraq since the Iraqis are allies in all of this - at least the non-Iranian elements within the Iraqi government.

Yeah but targeting Qom or Mashhad will piss them off just the same as if it was Samarra or Kadhimain (definitely not gonna contemplate Najaf or Karbala here...). Bombing any Shi’i religious site will lose them every single Iraqi Shi’i ally they have left in a heartbeat.

Also that shows the absolute ignorance of the man. Cultural sites in Iran and Iraq aren’t just important to the Iranian and Iraqi people, they’re important to the whole of humanity. It’s pretty much the birthplace of civilisation and intellectualism.

True, but I doubt even Trump is dumb enough to do that. He is however more than capable of blustering that he might, which would at a minimum cause the Iranians to think twice about how to proceed.
