Yeah the confidence is bloody sky high at the moment. They got energy and a great mentality all around.
Although if they actually start to slip up a bit things might change. Still I can't see it being enough to stop them from getting the title.
Yep this season is a write off for that, as City have crumbled from their usual level.

Best we can hope for is some Euro power get their act together and take them out of that, and that their disdain for the FA cup continues.
But today is where they should have gone out. And momentum is dangerous.

Just an reminder, Arsenal in the league cup scored five times at Anfield against a similar 11. Still lost though!

Look how the fans are staying behind to clap the team off. Something special is happening at that club right now I hate to admit.
It's taken you until Jan, the season after they won the European cup to work that out?

Is there not enough nauseating praise for this Liverpool team in every corner of the media without having to read it constantly on a Man United forum aswell. I can't imagine Liverpool fans doing the same during our period of dominance.

Stuck a tenner on the scouse at HT. No way were Everton winning that.
You got a sinking feeling when they kept smashing shots and headers straight at Adrian.

Keown (? I think?) on the co-commentary was trying to hype them up as great saves, but he generally seemed to have a Liverpool lust tonight.
Gomez is his particular favourite.

Guarantee winner of our replay gets either City, Chelsea or Liverpool away in round 4.

2018/19: Arsenal A, Chelsea A, Wolves A,

2019/2020: Wolves A, Wolves H (replay)

So you actually can send a 2nd/3rd string squad on the pitch against a PL rival and still win eh?
Hopefully that is the case against City :). Romero, Jones, Williams, Young, Rojo, Matic, Pereira, Mata, Chong, Gomez, Greenwood. Let's beat them!

That second half performance from Everton, 0 shots on target, the ball retention was erratic, looked lost. Great goal from Jones though

Nice goal but I think Pickford will be disappointed. He's so bad at getting to shots in the corners the short cnut!

He is 19 in 2 weeks time. Not as impressive when you hear that. Thought he was a young 18 year old

I didn’t think Everton could bottle-it worse than the FA Cup semi-final against Dalglish years ago when Andy Carroll dominated them, but today they managed it. Impressive stuff.

You know what? It's a New Year so I'm going to stay optimistic. I'm going to predict that Everton will finally beat Liverpool in the year 2025. Just five years to go until that glorious day.

It will be a scrappy 2-1 win after Liverpool had 3 men sent off. Oh, all the other Liverpool players lost their legs so they had to waddle around on stumps. Still, a win's a win.

Jones seems a right cocky bastard

But fair play to Klopp for instilling so much belief throughout the club.

At least we can enjoy seeing David Moyes get his second win for West ham and play far better football than we do :(.

He's always been a good talent. Thought he and Greenwood were the two best of the 2001 English generation, but Greenwood became the standout one over the last year. And I've become impressed with Doyle (City), Garner, Laird, and Saka's (Arsenal) development over the last year making it a better generation than I initially thought. Still not as good of a generation as the 2000 or 2003 one though.

When they waste several good chances at a ground they haven't won at in over 20 years, you realise the mental block they have must be bigger than the veins on Duncan Ferguson's forehead.
