Think Ole really does not want to stunt the progress of the three strikers we have, so even though Rashford is injured he will want someone like Slimani who will be useful off the bench. Those hoping for a big name forward, even in the summer might be disappointed.
I think we have money issues and from Oles presser today about Alexis coming back and proving everyone wrong in the summer is an indication we wont be buying anyone. Pogba will leave in the summer and we get Mike and Alexis back from loans, next season will mimic this season.

Any idea if this is credible?
In Duncan Castles' most recent podcast, he said that we had upped our offer from 50M + add-ons to 55M + add-ons and that the add-ons were now more realistic/achievable (eg qualifying for the CL, rather than winning it).

Carles Pérez is no longer a Barcelona player. There is no buy back option.
Tomorrow will sign for 4 and a half years with Roma

So, they buy Fernandes, loan him to Valencia, who in turn loan Rodrigo to them to cover for Suarez, and the reward of that is Lautaro Martinez in the summer? Jeez.

Imagine us trying something like that. We would buy the wrong player, loan out Rashford and extend Sanchez for 5 more years.

He played last night and didn't seem to look like a player on the verge of leaving to me. No tears. No waving. It's not happening guys.
To be fair to Bruno, he's probably sick and tired of always playing his last game for Sporting.

If we don't sign anyone decent this window, we will certainly deserve some type of trophy for this cluster feck of a season so far.

We are unstoppable right now.

Needs same type of post by Fc Porto fans who know his era there, even the almighty Monchi had much less success at As Roma than he had before in Sevilla. Dof still needs adequate board & manager to work with.
The Rabiot and DeJong situations reflect pretty badly on him

That's 67m pounds and this is what Sporting has been holding for all along.

Really dont understand our strategy. If we dont want to overpay, then fecking dont do it. After weeks of lowballing, you still end up paying the same amount. Laughable.

Edit - may have made a mistake. Its 50m pounds guaranteed. Rest are like PL,CL and BoR bonuses in which case it will be worth anyway. Well played Ed.

Scenes on Wednesday when Ed brings Bruno to sit right next him. Try and boo me now!

That's if he wins the PL, CL and Ballon D'or with us. Any of those three seem highly unlikely tbf.

still have my doubts about this deal actually being real, but they seem like the type of club that wouldn't let the player go until the very end just to sell a narrative to their fan base.

That quote from the presser is an indication that more often than not context is needed to understand the message.

Well no. 15 mil of that is in unlikely bonuses. So not the same. Some would argue that an extra week or two of back and forth is justified by that kind of saving. Nobody has enjoyed the whole saga less than me but I'm all for the notion of us not bending over for every chairman in Europe.

PSG fans on Reddit think he's dreadful, for what it's worth.
Of course he’s dreadful. Any club with 370m to spend on Mbappe and Neymar could have closed the deal. I want the guy who found Kante, Vardy and Mahrez to become our DOF.
