Not sure how anyone can say it's a bad deal, money wise, if he plays anything like he plays at Sporting the initial price is a bargain in todays market, and if we are required to pay the bonuses well, that means we'll have won the Champions League or he will have won the Ballon d'Or in what would probably be a successful season for us, its a great price..

I don't think he's the massive glimmer of change everyone is making him out to be but lets see

Assume he plays in place of Andreas and for every 10 shots Andreas would take, Fernandes scores 1 and assists 1.

Wwre already 10 points better off.

What’s peoples starting XI with Bruno signed and no injuries?

Surely he and Pogba both start? McTominay has to too. Fred has improved a lot too. No easy answer

Medical tomorrow. Was hoping it would be today and he’d be officially announced as a Man Utd player but oh well.

Now can the club prove us all wrong and manage to get a striker in before the window closes?

It's not a popular opinion, so i'll whisper it, but the club have actually managed to get a good deal here.

Credit where it's due? :nervous:
Of course. The price seems fair, the player has shown both the quality and the right mentality. Our last 3, now 4 signings have been spot on imo. Long may it continue.

Good signing. Hope it works out.
He's got a fast footballing brain, great with both feet. Can head the ball, and has a terrific shot on him outside the box. Provides assists too.
Can he up his game for the prem?
If he can........bargain.

Im still not sure about him, he seems too good to be true, player of the year the last two years in portugal, starter with Portugal, captain, great stats, leadership skills (captain), relatively young, for 50 million he seems a bargain why is nobody else interested?
Pretty much like nobody willing to pay what Liverpool paid for Sadio Mane back in the day.

De Gea

WanBiss Maguire Lindelof Williams

Fred McSauce

Pogba ——————- Fernandes

Rashford Martial

A lot of interchanging in that front 4. Heck Fernandes could play as a false 9 in the middle.

Analysts saying that he gives the ball away a lot because of going for the killer pass - our fans and pundits will be on his back soon enough for that, lambasting for always going for the "Hollywood pass" and "not keeping it simple" and whatever other shite they usually come up with when Pogba is trying to do something unexpected, or when Nani was doing the same back in the day.

Then again, the standards for the No. 10 position have been set by Lingard and Pereira so that will buy him some time.
Can't wait for stat twitter accounts and troll accounts to post how many times he lost the ball and people follow that like a sheep without any context.

With a fully fit and healthy squad, he will make a great addition.
We're giving them £46m now and another £8m after some achievements. They'll never see the rest.
In sure it's been posted but what is the £8m add ons he needs to hit? The rest is the ballondor and PL etc?

He doesn’t have to be a massive glimmer of change, he just needs to know how to not be Lingard and Pereira. The expectations really shouldn’t be highly in that regard.

Does this mean the budget will be cut for our summer spending?
Clearly Bruno was not in the plans for the January window.

All of them.

McT - Fred - Pogba
Bruno
Martial - Rashford

He's that perfect advanced midfielder/10 that we desperately need and Pogba has never been suited to (plus he'll be off in the summer anyway).

Hopefully this is part of the Lukaku money.

I imagine the summer transfers will be offset by Pogba's sale.

Great signing imo but we still need a.n.other of his like to dominant/control games and a world class striker.

Cool. A month wasted and late but it looks like were getting there.

Anyone else find it odd that when reporting united fees they tend to report the full fee, but with other teams the media tend to report "40 mil plus potential add ons".

Got to start somewhere. I think he's going to be a massive upgrade to what we have right now and that's all that matters.

If Pogba was staying and we could fill even 2 of those positions in the Summer and have some more luck with injuries then that would start to look like a proper side.
