You could make a Youtube highlights compilation of Maximan that would make him look Messi-esque.

Then you watch him for a full game and realise it's all sizzle, no steak.
Put him on a good team with good teammates and he'd look a lot better

10 seconds left in the half and Newcastle have a chance to launch the ball in to the Arsenal box via the throw in. What do they decide to do? They just play the ball back and wait for the whistle. It just sums up Bruce and his negative management.

Tomorrow night's game is an absolute must-win after today's events.

In the words of the volatile Dutchman, "we go for it!"

Pinning our hope on a individual game to kick start our season is pointless and its almost laughable at how regular this thinking seems to be. We're one of the most inconsistently consistent teams in the PL.
Win today, lose tomorrow is how it'll swing for the rest of the campaign.

I don't really think we're going to do finish in top 4 and probably not top 5 either. However I wouldn't see how a draw tomorrow particularly harms our prospects from where we are now.

Not really a must win for me.

Would you say this Arsenal team are genuine mid table?

Usually when a big side are this far down there's some statiscal anomalies to point too but going by things like XG/XP this Arsenal side are exactly where they should be.

Even if a Champion League birth went down to 7th place, I still expect this United side and the management to botch it up.

Gonna be Arteta's second win in the league. First one was against us.

Arsenal are now 1 point behind us.

We really better defeat Chelsea.

It's wishful thinking by this stage.

How likely do you think that is?

As much as I admire your optimism, it's going to be another draw followed by the same Ole excuses. Get used to it.

I finally understand the Jose-Third Reich comparison.

Still annoyed three hours on. We are the most naive top flight team in a long while.

Playing a high line v Spurs all game and without Mings was just wrong. Spurs were poor for an hour but still got through the apparent offside track 7-8 times and scored twice from it.

Last goal was a disaster not just with Engels but simply not dropping back after the Goal kick. We had five defenders on the pitch, respect the point ffs.

Grealish being allergic to shoot at 1-0 didn't help either, game was there for the taking at that point.

Get the feeling that game has mentally relegated us. Hope I'm wrong but we simply can't take points off the better teams in the league like Newcastle and even Norwich can do.

Do you think the manager will get sacked?

There's a difference between "control" and being a goal-scoring threat.

When you look at the saves that Reina made - and had to make - compared to Llloris, it's pretty clear to me that Spurs were the more potent attacking force.

And one of the Villa goals was an own-goal from Spurs. Or to put it another way, Spurs scored 3 times as many goals than did Villa players (or 4 if you count Alderweireld's og ;)).

Villa could have perhaps gotten a draw if they'd played a more conservative, less open game. But playing an end-to-end, open game generally suits Spurs very well.
Our offside high line was crazy today particularly without Mings who is a leader and has that extra recovery pace.

Pipe down a bit though, surely you were expecting more away wins at this stage of the season considering you've played a lot of the bottom half in last few months? No wins v Watford, Southampton (who are awful at home) and Norwich recently and today should've been more dropped points.

Dean is like the team at this level, very naive in games. I actually didn't think his in game management was too bad which I'm usually critical of. The high line wasn't a good decision at all which allowed Son and Moura space to get behind us.

Burnley stuck with Dyche when relegated and came back stronger so I don't know. Relegation would be very disappointing though given there are some good players in the team and we had momentum back throughout the club unlike last time when we needed it to cleanse the club.

Son is so fecking good anywhere on the pitch. Spurs don't seem to struggle at all any time Kane gets a long term injury even during Poch's days, just put Son upfront and he'll still score shite ton.

Has to be the most underrated player in the league. He should be talked about as one of the top 10 players in the league, maybe top 5.
Kane
Agüero
De Bruyne
VVD
TAA
Salah
Mane
Vardy

Not top 5 but definitely as good or better than anyone else in the league

Brilliant another club who's decision makers aren't as totally inept as our in realizing when to get rid of a manager and will now more than likely finish above us.

Newcastle are dreadful. Watching their closing down in all goals is hilarious.
